All right .
So what we got here is a small repair and a popcorn ceiling .
It's in a garage .
Uh , homeowner just wants me to kind of dab some popcorn texture up there because they don't want to respray anything .
And also when you respray some of these ceilings , sometimes wherever the wet popcorn gets blended into the existing it can fall down .
So I'm gonna use my handy dandy texture sponge to apply the popcorn texture and that's what I'm gonna be applying .
It's more of a , a larger popcorn .
It's called co from Us G or sheet rock .
There is a medium and a fine as well , but this has the best hiding ability .
So , uh , I'll shoot a video of me texture matching that popcorn with my sponge .
All right .
So here we go with the sponge texture .
Match with the popcorn first .
I'm gonna apply it to the corners with the six inch taping knife .
Just kind of skim it over .
It doesn't have to be perfect .
Just get enough up there that you're gonna blend .
It .
Don't get too much on the existing , we're gonna feather that out .
All right .
All right .
So now we're gonna take the sponge , just got a little bit of popcorn on it .
I'm gonna blend it out into the existing .
All right , just like that .
We got a popcorn texture match without having to spray it .
So .
All right , there's that popcorn texture match with the sponge .
Uh , it's in a garage so they didn't want pay to have it all sprayed .
They just wanted it touched up .
It's in a corner pretty much can't see it , but it's a good opportunity opportunity .
It , a good opportunity for me to show you how I can match popcorn texture with a sponge on small repairs .
Here's that popcorn repair I did with my handy dandy texture sponge .
Been drying probably for a couple of days .
Came back to re screw the garage ceiling .
Pretty darn good match for not spraying it on there .
Right .
