Valentine's Day .

Strawberries and cream popcorn .

Hello , everyone .

Starting off with the medium size sauce pan and you'll add one quarter cup of butter to that and you'll start heating the butter over medium heat until it is melted .

See , this adorable little silicone spatula .

I found this one and another little tiny spatula .

It came in a set at the my local dollar store .

I just love them heat this until the butter's melted and add in one half cup of white granulated sugar , one quarter cup of light corn syrup .

If all you have is the dark .

That's ok .

And then add in one package of jello gelatin strawberry flavor and begin to stir and cook this over medium heat .

Now you're gonna wait until this comes to a gentle boil over medium heat once it comes to a gentle boil , set your timer for four minutes and don't stop stirring .

Keep stirring and keep an eye on the bottom of your pan .

If it starts to turn brown or starts to burn , take it off the heat and lower your heat down a little bit as you're cooking , that will get nice and smooth and all the grayness from the sugar will be gone .

It'll all be dissolved .

That is 12 cups of popcorn .

I just use the microwave kind .

I use the plain but you can use the butter flavor if you like .

You need about 12 cups , which is about a bag and a half or so , depending on the size of bags that you have .

As soon as that mixture is done , the four minutes of boiling , you're gonna immediately pour it on top of the popcorn and then immediately begin to stir it around and coat it .

Be careful that red stuff is really , really hot and you can burn your fingers with it .

So just stir it around .

If it , the popcorn is not completely coated , that's OK .

You just want it mostly distributed .

So you don't have big clumps of the red stuff in there .

Take a large baking dish or cookie sheet line it with aluminum foil , grease the foil and then put that mixture on top .

Now , this stuff is still hot or warmish , spread it out as much as you can on the sheet and then put it in the oven at 300 °F .

And you're gonna bake this for 15 minutes at 300 going in the oven every five minutes and flipping it around .

And as it's baking and as you're stirring it , the popcorn , the red actually will distribute a little bit more evenly and your popcorn will get a little bit more evenly coated and then you let it um , sit at room temperature until it's cool enough to handle .

It takes about 15 , 20 minutes .

It happens pretty quickly .

Then you're gonna pick it up and just break up any large clumps that you're gonna find because it's gonna kind of all clump together .

So just go in there and then break it up .

You , you want bite size pieces of what you're looking for .

Now , I put it back in the large bowl and you'll need nine ounces of white chocolate , white candy melt or white bark melt that I melt it in the microwave and then pour about half of it on top of the popcorn .

Then I took a , a spoon and just gave it a good stir and then I added the other half .

I just wanted to try to make sure it was spread evenly and just continue to toss until the most of the popcorn has got some of the white coating on it .

That's the cream part of the strawberries and cream .

Now , an extra thing I added were these freeze dried strawberries which I broke up into smaller pieces , kind of crumble them up a little bit Sprinkle the freeze dried strawberries on top and then give that a stir .

You don't have to add these if you don't want .

I just thought it added a really nice strawberry flavor to the whole thing .

And once that's nicely coated , you're gonna transfer it back onto the cookie sheet .

Just use the same one that you used to bake the popcorn in the oven .

Don't need to put a new piece of tinfoil on there and I just spread that out more or less evenly on the cookie sheet and you can just look this hard and just the way it is and then break it up into pieces .

But if you want to make it more Valentine's day like and a little bit extra special , you can add um some red and pink candies , whatever you want , you can add to this .

You could even , you could even Sprinkle in some marshmallows at this point if you like .

So I added some pink and red smarties which are the Canadian version of the M and M .

I had a little heart sprinkles .

I add a little tiny round sprinkles .

I pressed down a bit just so that it would stick to the popcorn .

And then once you're done adding the candies or sprinkles that you wanna add to your popcorn , just let it sit and let that white chocolate or the white candy melt harden and then break it into pieces and then serve it in whatever container you want .

That's like a popcorn container with a heart theme to it .

You can put them in little treat bags with a little label to the person that you love or in a little treat box , whatever you like .

So I hope you enjoy this one and I hope you make some for Ballentine Day .

I have a Valentine's Day treat playlist where you might be able to find more things that you can make for people that you love .

Thanks for watching .
