This is Jessica with Cutie craft dot com .
Today , we're gonna talk about how to tie a knot in the end of your thread .
And there are a couple of ways to do it .
You can just simply wrap the thread around your finger and then put the tail end through the loop like .
So depending on how thick my fabric weave is , sometimes I will try to tidy a double knot , but then it's hard to get the knot in the same spot .
You just have to kind of guide it and the more you do it , the easier it will get another way to do it that I have actually been enjoying and it gives you a nice thick knot .
So you don't have to do a double knot is to take your thread and you wanna make it like it's like a loop like this .
Um So the tail end is pointing towards your needle .
Um put your needle underneath the thread and hold the tail under the thread on the needle like so take this end of your thread , wrap it around one , 23 times and then take this thumb , your left thumb , hold on to that wrapping right there with the tail end pointing the other direction and then pull the needle up and then it'll create a nice little knot there .
So it seems complicated until you do it a couple of times .
If you've done a French knot successfully , then this will be a little bit easier for you .
So again , needle and tail of thread pointing towards each other .
Put the needle underneath with a like about an inch over here on this side .
Hold on to that with your right hand and then wrap around three times with your left hand .
Take your left hand and pinch the needle and the wrapping so that it doesn't come loose .
Make sure this tail end of the thread is over this way and then pull the needle through and you have a nice thick knot .
So this is um the way that I've been enjoying doing it now , it's a lot easier than having a tie double knot and you still get that nice thick knot on the end .
I hope you enjoyed this video .
