How To Install DirectX 12 On Windows 10 (2021) _ Quick Easy Steps with Links

If you're a gamer on a Windows 10 PC , you probably already know that direct X is a crucial and necessary component of gaming .

Regardless if you're using a G force or Radon or something from Intel .

It's a main piece of software that your computer uses to speak to your video card and send instructions back and forth .

This used to be a simple and quick fix .

But now if you go to the Microsoft website , you'll see that the download is no longer available .

That's because they incorporated it into the Windows 10 update .

So if you've updated all your drivers reinstalled them and then also did the Windows updates and still having this issue , we're going to walk you through the steps to get the download for the direct X , get it reinstalled and get your system up and running and we're going to do that right now .

Now , before we get started , make sure you subscribe to this channel .

And if you're on youtube hit the alert notification , the first step is to download the direct deck setup file .

Now you can get this anywhere online , but you want to make sure that you trust the source that you're downloading it from .

You don't want to risk your PC getting a virus from a simple download .

So what we're gonna do is we're gonna put a link in the description for our website .

Uh So you know that you're getting it from a trusted source .

So step one is to download the file and here we go and we clicked on the link .

It takes us to the mega site to download it .

It's a secure site so we can go ahead and click on download .

It's a very small file , 285 kilobits and we'll just minimize it and execute it the first prompt .

We can say yes to just minimize a browser .

And here we go .

So this is a , it's a license agreement so you can say accept , you have to accept it if you want to proceed .

So we'll just select that and then click on next .

Now , here we have the bing browser bar .

I'm not a fan of it .

So I'm not going to install it .

I check it and click on next .

And now it's going to check everything that we already have on the computer and then it'll start downloading the components .

There we go .

So we clicked on next .

Now , this really depends on the speed of your internet .

Mine isn't too bad , so it's going down pretty quick .

Um And then once it's done downloading all the components , it's going to install it .

So now it's installing all the components and once it's done , we will complete the set up .

Ok .

Perfect .

Installation is complete .

We can click on finish and we've completed the Microsoft Direct X installation .

Now , the next thing that we can do is just verify what we've done and check the version that's installed .

We can do that by going into the direct X diagnostic tool .

And to do that , we're going to click on start and inside the search , we're going to type in DX dia G hit enter .

Now you get a prompt here to check if your drivers are digitally signed .

You can say yes or no .

It really doesn't really matter , you can say yes , I said yes .

Um And now the diagnostic tool comes up and we can check down here at the bottom .

It says the direct X version in its version 12 .

So as of right now , February 2021 that is the current version that we can have installed on our computer .

So everything is great .

It's installed correctly as we wanted it .

And that is how you download it and install Dr X on a Windows 10 PC .
