Today , I'm gonna show you how to make uh kettle corn , kettle corn is the salty sweet popcorn you often find in fairs and carnivals .
Uh The recipe I use at home is pretty straightforward , half cup of popcorn kernels , which is about 100 g , three tablespoons of sugar , which works out to be about 35 g and three tablespoons of oil , which is about 30 g and salt to taste when everything's done .
So what I do is heat the oil over medium , medium , high heat .
I add the uh sugar to let it start melting and once the sugar starts melting a little , I'll add the kernels and just mix until they start popping .

The sugar is starting to dissolve a little .
So I'm gonna add the kernels in and just mix and when it stops starts popping , I'll cover and let it pop without it popping out the uh pan , the kernels are starting to turn white .
So that means they're getting close to popping that skin closer .

Next add , uh , pour out the popcorn to keep it from burning that some burnt curtains on the bottom .
But , uh , salt to taste and let it cool off a little and you're done .
