Hey , my cookies today , I'm gonna be showing you how I fry chicken wings .
You know the good chicken wings you get at baby showers .
Mhm .
That's what we're doing today .
Let's cook first things first .
You're gonna need some chicken wings .
Of course , mine are already separated .
Um , if you have the whole ones , it's all good .
Just go ahead and cut them at the joint and make sure you clean them .
Always clean them with water and a little lemon or lime juice , rinse them off and sometimes , you know , some feathers fall through the cracks .
So pluck them .
You don't want feathers in your chicken .
Ok .
So make sure you pluck them yourselves and now we need to work on our seasoning blend .
So just get a little bowl , add in some Cajun or Creole seasoning .
Now add in the onion and garlic powder , a little bit of lemon pepper and some accent seasoning .
It's MS G so it's completely optional .
Um MS G , please stay out my comment section .
Anyway , um shake it together really , really well or just use a spoon .
I was too lazy to go back into the kitchen and grab a spoon .
But anyway , boom , Sprinkle half of that over the chicken .
Just half .
You want to reserve the rest of it , but cover it well , a little bit more coop .
That's not half .
There you go .
Boom , pa mix it together really well .
Make sure everything is evenly coated .
And now we're going to season our flour .
I'm just using some all purpose flour , gonna add the remaining , um , seasoning blend to it .
Also , some corn starch and some baking powder , not soda .
Put the little orange box back now .
I don't know if it's science but it makes the chicken extra crispy for me .
You can use the R I use both .
I don't know .
I don't know .
This is what I do and I like it .
All right .
So put your chicken in the flour and make sure that when you have it in the flour , you're squeezing it a little bit just to pack that flour in there and shake off the excess coat it .
Well , I'm using a deep fryer but you can use a pan .
I heated some peanut oil in it to about 350 degrees or 3 60 between there .
And I like to put the chicken in the basket , dip it first quickly that keeps it from sticking to the basket as it's frying .
I also sprayed the basket with some non-stick cooking spray before adding the chicken in .
So all of that helps .
But we're just gonna fry for about 8 to 11 minutes .
Just until the chicken is cooked all the way through .
We want it to get to 100 and 65 degrees in the inside internal temp and make sure those juices run clear .
Look how beautiful that chicken is cute .
Mm .
Then continue frying until all of your chicken liles are complete and drained on a wired rack .
That's very important .
If you want crispy chicken paper towels can kind of make it soggy sometimes , but that's it .
The recipe link is down there in the description box .
I hope you guys enjoyed this .
Thank you for watching .
I gotta eat this chicken until next time .
Be blessed .
