This is Yuri today .
I'll show you how to cook Japanese chicken curry .
First thing that we need to do is prepare the ingredients .
These are the ingredients that you need to make very tasty .
Japanese chicken curry .
First cut the onion .
I cut like relatively big .
You can make it smaller .
But if you cut uh slice thing , your curry will be a little bit sweeter if you want to make your curry sweeter , not hot spicy .
Um That's a good way to do , but I like hot spicy curry .
So I make this big .
This is a tip about potato .
That's we are using .
I recommend you yellow potato , which is gold that I'm using today or red potato , ras potato .
Um It's ok but that is best for mashed potato or fried potato and it may melt uh when you cook long time in the pot .
Now I show you how to cut potato for curry .
Um I peel this one and just , well , everybody say bite side and if you want to cut smaller , that is fine .
However , um if you cut smaller uh cook faster and also it may be easy to melt .
And I usually put those potato in the water , be just until , um , put in the pot and one other tip .
See , uh , this is I , and this is , uh , poison that they have .
So , if you see , I , um , on the potato you should take it out and when you take it out a little bit , dig it and take the whole thing out .
Next is carrot , ip o carrots first .
Then I cut carrots about the same size as potato because it's easier to cook at the same time .
But if you prefer bigger or smaller you can do it .
And this is the other tip that I found .
You can find baby carts in the back in the store .
And this is very easy because you don't need to , um , um , shape the peel anything .
This is a little bit bigger one .
So I have and almost same side , I turn the barna high now and ready to make a stew .
First .
Put the , uh , vegetable oil in a pot .
I usually use maybe two tablespoon or three .
And first you're gonna put meat in it , but be careful because oil is not hot enough .
It's gonna stick in a pan .
Now , I put meat in the pot and a stir fry , but you don't really need to , um , cook all , all the way through , uh , maybe a little bit outside .
Um , that is fine .
It's ready to put , um , onion .
Now , this is ready for me to put potato .
Um , I don't really want to cook , um , onion all the way because I want to have spicy curry .
But if you want to sweeter curry , you should cook more .
Ok .
This is ready .
Potato is cooked .
You may see , potato is a little bit clear and this timing I will put carrots about the carrots .
Um , I don't really worry about to , uh , stir fry too much in the pot because it won't melt anyway .
So um put it and stir maybe a minute and that would be enough .
And now I'm gonna put water now , water boiled and ready to put curry .
But before that take off the foams surface of the stew and turn the heat medium bowl .
This is the Japanese curry that I use today .
I bought this one from Asian gro grocery stores , but you may be able to find regular grocery store .
It's getting popular and how it's look like is like this .
And when you open it , it's a cube like that and you can break like this and simply put in the uh stew , OK ?
Um cube is melting and don't stir too much because potato gonna be melt also .
And if you think this is too thick , add more water or if this is too thin , add more q finally , this is ready to eat .
And in Japan , everybody making curry in their own way and some people put honey , some people put soy sauce , whatever they think that is the best .
And yes , I have my best way .
My best way is garlic .
I use maybe this one about um , two thirds of garlic and I grain it and put everything in here .
And of course , I'm gonna wait till this garlic also uh cooked inside the pot .
Now it's ready to eat .
And this is the preparation .
And we usually put Fuku Jinu , which is the Japanese pickles like that .
And you can eat just like this .
But if you have a Katz , you can eat , eat katsu curry .
And this is another way to eat very yummy curry .
