How to Draw Anime Guy

Back when I was a kid , I found it hard to draw anime guys because the only youtube videos I saw were tutorials on how to draw guys with big eyes , which made them look female .

Anyway , with all this , I present to you a tutorial on how to draw hot anime guys .

I'm drawing on my computer , but you can follow along with pencil and paper or MS paint in your mouse .

We're gonna start with the basics , draw a circle and at the bottom of this draw cross , there aren't exact measurements but anime guys have long faces .

The bottom part of the face is about half the circle .

So we're gonna connect the circle to the chin .

This may look too straight right now , but we're gonna fix that later .

The nose is in the middle of the face and the mouth is just below it and drawing the eyes , just imagine there's an eye in the middle because the eyes are one eye apart .

So you first draw an a thingy and then another a thingy below you're all circle inside it .

So right now he looks like an alien .

I swear this is gonna look better here .

I'm changing the expressions and fixing the face .

So I fixed it until I'm satisfied with it .

I made the eyes a bit smaller and slimmed down his face .

I also made his eyebrows thick .

Now we're gonna do the hairline , just estimate where it is .

It's about 1/4 of the face .

Anime hair is generally pretty big .

So I mark the very top .

This point is gonna serve as a guide from which all the hair should be coming from .

Just keep in mind that anime hair is usually pointy .

I'm drawing the basic details of the ears .

So the neck starts from the jawline .

So I'm just throwing the shoulders and his clothes first , create a layer below the outline .

Then we're gonna select a neutral skin color , don't make it too bright .

So using the bucket tool on , this is pretty hard because there are a lot of lines .

What I'm gonna do is just paint the color along the lines .

Now that we've done that we can use the bucket tool and fill it .

Next , I'm gonna select a dark color for his hair here .

I chose dark blue .

I also colored along the lines .

Now , I'm making a new layer for the whites of the eye .

I fill the eye with a sort of grayish color because I didn't want it to be too white .

I made another layer and filled the shirt .

Basically , all the elements are in separate layers .

You could merge them into one layer .

But this is better in case you want a different type of shaving or if you want to put a texture on something else .

So I just color the circle of the eye with brown .

Now we're gonna shade so create a layer and set it to multiply .

This layer is on top of all the color layers .

I chose a red color .

So how do we shade ?

Imagine that the lighting is in here .

Now , we'll know where the shadows are .

So I painted below the neck on the banks on the nose , on the shirt and on his hair , I zoomed in on the hair and used a soft brush to soften the harsh lines .

You don't really have to do this .

It's just an extra detail .

I also shaded the eyes just ignore the highlights of the hair .

I actually made a mistake here .

Another thing you could do to improve your drawing is to lock the outline layer and choose a color other than black and paint on the outline for the skin .

I chose a dark red color and just replace it black with this .

See , it's a bit better .

Lastly , we're gonna add the highlights .

So make a layer on top of all the layers and set it to shine or screen for the skin .

Use a bright red color and give the airbrush and brush over the skin gives a nice radiant effect for the hair .

Since his hair is dark blue .

I made the highlight kind of blue , greenish and for the shirt , I highlighted it with yellow .

I lowered the opacity because I didn't want to go too far with it .

It kind of ruins it for me when it's too much .

Lastly , just sang your work because you did a good job .

So we're finished with our drawing .

Here's our final drawing .

He kind of looks angry but you know , he's a brooding type .
