Hi guys today on Davis can cook , we are making moist banana bread .
This banana bread is my favorite .
It is so good .
The inside is so fluffy and moist and dense , full of banana flavor and it's easy to make .
So let's get started .
Ok .
So we all know the best banana bread start with really ugly bananas .
The uglier , the blacker , the Bata .
Ok .
So these bananas have seen better days .
They are perfect for banana bread .
Go ahead and peel them up and place them into a bowl .
Now one's gonna mash them up with the fork just like that .
Get them nice and creamy .
I don't like big chunks of my banana bread , do you ?
Mm mm .
I don't like it like that .
I like to mash it up and then go ahead and add in some lemon juice .
That's some fresh lemon juice I threw in there .
It's gonna stir that up and then just set it aside and don't forget you guys .
You can find this recipe on my blog , the whisking cook dot com with a ton of other recipes .
So go check it out .
Ok .
We're gonna get another bowl here .
We're gonna add in our all purpose flour and then I'm gonna throw in some cinnamon .
I gotta have that cinnamon and banana bread .
I love it .
And here I have some salt , baking powder and baking soda .
I'm gonna toss this on in there as well .
You can also add nut if you want to , but I don't then go ahead and sift it on .
I mean , um what am I doing ?
I'm whisking whisk it on up to get it combined .
You can also and some black walnuts .
Oh my God .
I love black walnut and banana bread .
I didn't have any of those sucks .
OK ?
So in a larger bowl , we're gonna add some melt it .
When I melt it softened butter , don't melt it , softened butter .
We're gonna add in a little bit of white sugar and then a nice plop of brown sugar .
Babe .
Right now .
It's gonna mix it up just like that .
Get it cream .
You want cream the sugar in the butter really ?
Well .
And then we're gonna add in those mashed up bananas , throw them on in there and then take your little spatula or whatever and just stir it in there .
It's like that .
OK ?
Next I'm gonna add in my beaten eggs .
Then of course we gotta have some vanilla extract .
And next we're gonna add in some buttermilk .
I love butter , milk and um and banana bread .
I don't like to use sour cream .
I love that buttermilk .
It makes it so flavorful and rich and I just love it .
OK ?
Go ahead and mix it up until it's well combined .
Then go ahead and add the flour mixture into the wet mixture and you're gonna stir it slowly .
Y'all slow and gently .
OK ?
And once you have that flour mixed in , just drop the spatula and stop it .
OK ?
Just stop stirring it .
Promise me , you will not stir it any more once it's mixed in .
OK ?
Promise me .
I just do not want you guys to have a dried bread .
It's awful .
If you have questions or comments , leave them below .
I will answer them .
And if you like this video , let me know by liking it .
Now I have grease and flour .
My loaf pan is gonna add my batter right into my loaf pan .
Make sure you scrape it all out and get it all in there .
OK ?
And then I'm just gonna give it like a little jiggle , you know a little jig just to get the top kind of even .
I have my oven preheated to 3 25 .
I'm gonna bake it for an hour and 10 minutes .
But of course I over baked it .
It's a little dark .
I baked it for like an hour and 20 minutes .
I was talking on the phone y'all and just didn't hear the butter from the stuff .
I was so I had over cooked this bread and the video was ruined , but I cut into this bad boy .
And I was like , yes , honey .
Yes .
The outside was golden .
A little crunch too with the inside was fluffy and moist and mm mm .
It was so perfect .
This bread is even better the next day .
It's like the most amazing banana bread I've ever had .
So if you bake these kind of breads and take them into work or give them as gifts , make this one , it's like the perfect texture .
It's , it's the bomb .
It's A B OK .
So I hope you guys enjoyed this video .
Thanks so much for watching .
Bye guys .
