Step by Step Instructions to Make A Diaper Cake

And today we're going to make a diaper cake .

This is a cute and useful gift that will be the eye catching centerpiece at any baby shower .

Here's the list of things that you will need disposable newborn diapers .

You can even use a size two if you want the mom to be able to enjoy the cake before having to undo it all .

Glue and glue gun , rubber bands .

One , two wooden dolls , lots of ribbon , narrow and wide .

You're gonna need decorative baby items .

You can use toys , pacifiers , socks and more .

And for the cake topper , you can use a baby bottle , baby powder or a stuffed animal to begin , take each diaper and roll the outward tip inwards .

This will keep the shape of your diaper and then secure it with a rubber band .

You're now gonna take the roll diapers to make a three tier cake to do this .

You're gonna stand the diapers vertically , twist them so that the end of the rolls are facing inwards .

Repeat this process until the cake layer or tier is the size that you would like firmly securing around each row so that in effect , you have circles around circles do the same for the second tier , but this one should be smaller than the first repeat again with your third tier , making sure it's smaller than your previous two .

I'm gonna incorporate a baby bottle in the center which is gonna act as my cake topper wrap the length of ribbon around each tier to cover and hide the rubber bands for a decorative touch .

Use the glue gun to glue the ribbon together , make sure that you don't get any glue on the diaper , then use a wooden dow to keep them in place .

Now , for the icing on the cake , I chose to use stains of pink for a girl , but you can decorate however you like tuck the baby items in the ribbon as decorations top your cake off with something fitting the theme of your party .

This can be a small stuffed toy , a baby bottle or baby item .

Now , you have a creative and original gift to give one that the mother to be will actually end up using .
