I am going to soak a cup of raisins in whiskey .

I'm just gonna put it in this little container , cover it and leave it on the counter until tomorrow .

I have a large baguette that I cubed in this uh in this baking sheet .

Um It is a day old bread and I have about eight cups of cubed bread here .

So what I'm gonna do is I'll put this in the oven at 400 F 200 C for about 15 minutes until the bread start .

You know , it is kind of brown and dry and this is how we want our bread just lightly toasted , you know , check it .

Every oven is different .

It might take a little less time on you and yours .

Please don't let it burn .

I drained the raisins that we had soaking yesterday and I put the whiskey into this little measuring cup .

Then I added more until I have three quarters cups of whiskey in this bowl .

I have four large eggs at room temperature plus four egg yolks .

I have 1.5 cups of uh light brown sugar , 1.5 cup , uh teaspoons of ground cinnamon .

I have a whole tablespoon of vanilla in here .

A quarter teaspoon of nutmeg and a quarter teaspoon of salt .

I'm gonna whisk this .

Well , I will have the grams of all this as always in the uh written recipe that will be in the description box underneath the video .

Uh I'm gonna add two cups of whole milk and two cups of heavy cream to this .

Now I'm gonna add the whiskey .

I am now going to put the toasted bread into this bowl .

We are going to let this bread soak for about 30 minutes .

Go ahead and dunk the bread around .

I don't know , every 78 minutes as , as it gets , you know , as it soaks , it's gonna start , of course , floating less on top but just dunk it in , leave it alone and dunk it and so on and so forth .

I transferred half of my soaked bread into a nine by 13 buttered pan .

I'm gonna add the raisin and I'm gonna add the remaining bread .

I'm gonna put this in an oven at 350 F .

That's 100 and 76 C .

It has been preheating um for about 45 minutes and then I'm gonna check it .

It'll be ready when it's nice and set and you know , the , the egg mixture is kind of separating from the sides .

This has been in the oven for about 40 minutes .

It still needs to cook a little more , but it's browning too much .

I'm just going to place some aluminum foil on top and put it back like this so that my bread doesn't over brown on top .

This is perfect .

You put in a knife and it comes out clean .

It's separating from the sides .

Oh , no , no , no .

This is just beautiful .

We're gonna let it cool down so we can serve it .

We're gonna make our sauce .

Now , I have 1.5 teaspoons of corn starch in here and I'm just gonna dilute them with a little bit of whiskey .

I have a quarter cup of whiskey that we're gonna use for this .

I have three quarters cups of heavy cream and two tablespoons of sugar in this pot .

We are going to heat this and stir until the sugar dissolves and we're gonna work on medium low heat .

Ok ?

Now that the sugar has dissolved , I'm gonna add the corn starch and we're gonna mix this until it thickens for , you know , maybe four minutes .

Ok .

I didn't stop stirring by the way , but now that it's thickening , I'm gonna turn off the heat .

I'm going to add a tablespoon of butter .

Well , which I just cut into force and that's unsalted butter and the rest of our whiskey .

Right ?

And they picked us out .

Our sauce is ready .

I poured the sauce over the pudding and now we're gonna taste it .

Mm hm .

Wow .

Adult people's dessert don't give this to the kids .

You have a very nice custard in there and the bread is tender .

Those uh raisins are excellent .

You know , uh the cinnamon , the whole thing just goes wonderful and that sauce is amazing .

If you want a little less strong , you can put a little less whiskey in it .

This is very , very good .
