The times they are changing life isn't what it used to be .
But that may be a good thing because what if I told you that this could be replaced by this , the mower pre amp and you can even win this .
Ok .
Wait , let's back up a little bit .
It used to be so easy .
You've got your guitar , you run it through some pedals and then you put it in the AMP .
But nowadays things are changing rapidly .
It looks like everything is getting redesigned .
AMPS are turned into pedals , cabinets are turned into pedals .
Iterators are turned into the amps , pre amps are taken out of the AMP and put into pedals , pedals are put into the amps .
It's starting to get pretty confusing .
Let me clear up a few things .
So from the electricity produced by the pickups to the sound you're actually hearing , there are a few stages that the signal usually runs through .
If you understand all these steps , you understand what's happening with all these different elements .
So we start with the guitar , then maybe run through some pedals and pluck the guitar into an amp .
The A can be a combo or a hat .
So in both of these , we find a pre amp and an optional loop and a power amp .
The cabinet is a part of the combo .
That's why it's called a combo .
From the hand .
We need to plug it into a separate cabinet .
And finally , we heard the sound coming out of the speakers to our ears .
So here I've got the mower pre amp live .
And what's happening is that it simulates the pre amp of the AMP and they put that part into this panel .
Well , it's actually 12 of these , I guess , 12 different amps .
The pre amp is the part of the AMP that shapes the sound the most .
It's what makes the reverb sound like reverb and the martial plexi as a martial plexi plex plexi .
So most of these amps characteristics are found in that pre amp .
And by capturing that and putting it into a pedal , you're basically copying a big part of that amp .
Let me show you , let's keep it in one piece because this one is going to one of you .
I know the power supply thingy , the butter and very good .
Here it is .
So , but what are we still missing then ?
Well , uh the power ramp , for example , well , if you play at home with studio speakers in front of you , you don't need a power amp .
So if you just wanna hook it up to that , that's ok .
If you play live and you just have a signal that runs through the P A , you don't need a power ramp .
If you got good monitoring or in ears , you can just hear yourself clearly on stage .
So we don't necessarily need a power amp .
So for the cabinet , this thing has a nice little solution .
It's a built in cap simulator , flick the switch and it digitally mimics the characteristics of a speaker .
So this is pretty huge because this means that this pedal can replace your ramp .
But can it , let's find out ?
OK .
This , this is probably the worst demo of a preempt ever .
But you know , this is just what came out making the demo .
This thing has all these features I didn't show Bluetooth , you can capture a tone , all these knobs , switches and stuff .
But is it really a bad demo though ?
Well , maybe for the sounds , but you can just look this up on any other channel .
I put this on my board and then just unlock all the creativity I needed to make this track .
And to me that has so much value .
Convenience is a high priority for me .
It just needs to work fast the way I wanted it to and it needs to be reliable .
When you put this on your board , you can literally just come to a show , pluck the direct out from your board into the P A and hear everything through an air monitoring or just stage monitoring in home it's very handy too .
I play in workload behind my desk , as you can see with a set of studio monitors and now I can just plug the output of my pedal board directly into the sound card and boom .
There it is all my pedals , all my sounds directly under my feet .
No complaining , neighbors .
No attenuates but still all the sounds .
But why not use the camper pole ?
So the camper sounds great .
And for me , the models in the camper sounds a little bit better than this pre amp , but I just don't hook my pedals up to the camper that quickly .
It's just another thing to do .
And the camper has a lot of great building in effects as well , which I often end up using instead , but they don't inspire me the same way as a dedicated food pedals do on my own pedal board .
And that's why I quite like this little mower pre amp .
So if you're interested in having one , you can win this one or my other one , I'll give away two of these .
One is given away to my patrons on my Patreon page because I appreciate everyone on there so , so much and one for all the fine folks watching my channel that I also respect greatly .
