Easy Homemade Dog Cake Recipe

Today we're getting Abby involved in the recipes and I'm showing you how to make her favorite dog cake .

Welcome back to my kitchen .

This is Abby , my Labradoodle .

You've probably seen her running around in the background of my videos .

Um She runs all over the place and does all does everything that she wants to do and not what we want her to do .

And today I'm showing you how make one of the most popular recipes on my site .

Her dog cake .

It was her birthday cake for her second birthday and it's her absolute favorite .

She loves it every time we make it for more delicious desserts and easy dog recipes .

Be sure to subscribe to my channel and let's get in the kitchen start by adding two tablespoons of peanut butter .

A quarter of a cup of apple sauce , two tablespoons of oil , two tablespoons of honey .

One large egg , a quarter of a teaspoon of baking powder and a half of a teaspoon of baking soda to a small bowl and stir that together until it's nice and combined , be sure when you're choosing a peanut butter that it is , um , a peanut butter without Zytol in it because that's not good for dogs .

Then mix in three quarters of a cup of all purpose flour .

You can also do this with whole wheat flour and stir it until it's nice and thick .

Then you'll want to put this into a six inch round cake pan or you can use a nine by five inch bread pan .

I've lined it with parchment and sprayed it with non-stick cooking spray , um layer that into the pan and then bake it for about 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees until a toothpick comes out clean and let it cool before frosting to make the frosting .

I'm just making Abby's favorite , which is whipped cream .

Just a half of a cup of whipping cream that I've beaten until stiff peaks have formed and then frost your cake as desired .

You can see that Abby is anxious to eat it .

This is one of her favorite things .
