THE CHEAPEST LACELESS BOOTS EVER! - ADIDAS PREDATOR 19.3 LACELESS - REVIEW + ON FEET

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Lace football boots for 100 bucks .

I don't wanna offend anybody but these are surprisingly not that bad .

I know .

I'm surprised too what's going on guys , Josh from soccer reviews for you dot com bringing you my review plus on video of the brand new and highly anticipated Adidas Predator 19.3 lace in the launch initiator pack Colorway also known as the cheapest lace boot ever .

How cheap is cheap though ?

Well , not actually that cheap .

And the reason why I say that is because this boot falls into what I would consider to be the budget category of take down football boots where most boots , other 0.3 models from Adidas and the Academy tier boots from Nike .

The most popular ones are going to range in price between 65 $90 .

The Lace Predator 19 point three .

However , retails for 100 bucks making it the most expensive boot in this particular category .

Are they worth the 100 dollars ?

That of course is going to be the question that we're answering in today's video .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

But of course , the fact that they're lace is what makes people interested , which begs the question is this as good or is the lace system at least as good as the $275 Predator 19 plus , which is the minimum amount of money up until this point that you would need to pay to get a proper lace football boot .

So is the first lace take down model actually worth the hype or is it just you getting overcharged for boots that aren't actually that good ?

That question and more answered in today's video including how these fit and feel on feet .

So if you want to learn more , please stick around and watch the entire review .

Included with the boots is a black and white Adidas box and because these boots are lace , they also include a shoe horn to help with putting the boots on .

You can use it if you really need it .

I personally never use these things , but it is nice that they include it .

So I guess the best way to start this review is to talk about what's actually the same between the one $100 Predator 19.3 and the 200 $75 predator 19 plus , they're both lace .

Technically , the studd pattern is the same too , but you already do that now that we've established that these basically have nothing in common with the top end model .

Let's go over the text specs .

Now , the upper of this boot is pretty much the same upper the base , I should say as what we've seen previously from the predator 18.3 and now the 19.3 because it's not really much of a refresh .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

It's a mesh based synthetic with similar texture to what you'll find on the top end model , but definitely not exactly the same and not something that's super either .

It's actually decently soft offers a nice touch on the ball relatively thin .

So if you're looking for a heavily padded feel , you're not necessarily going to get it here , but nothing about this upper is particularly unique or premium or that interesting , it just feels decent and that's the best way to describe it .

Then of course , we get to the lace system that they still call a pure cut lace system as you'll find from the top end models .

But it's not quite the same .

What made me really worried about this boot when I first saw the pictures when they unveiled it is that this just looks like a really standard loose mesh material and it is however internally on the underside , it's difficult for me to show you this , you can see that little bit of mesh right there , there is actually a reinforcement layer that pretty much runs the entirety of this lace piece across the top of the foot that does prevent it from stretching .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

So you can see when I push my thumb across the top , it stretches , but it doesn't stretch so much to where the boots wouldn't have any lockdown at all .

It's effectively the exact same mesh reinforcement piece that you'll find on the nemesis 18 plus lace boots that does actually work decently well .

And dare I say , it's actually a little bit stronger across the top of the foot than the primate lace list system found on the more expensive Predator 19 plus .

However , it's definitely not better than the predator 19 plus continuing on .

You can see that the mesh in the lace list system flows up towards the back of the boot into an extended mid cut collar , something you'll find across the board with the predator lineup .

I personally think this collar and the material just looks really , really cheap , but it feels perfectly fine and it's basically just a thin flimsy mesh collar .

There's no ankle support here , there's no structure .

This has nothing to do with lockdown .

It's simply there for the sake of cosmetics .

The boot does have an internal plastic heel counter that is relatively solid and it needs to be given that this does have a lace construction and then internally you're going to find that it does have a really nice weight lining with a decent amount of padding that again is required because of the lace system .

As you may know , I've been highly critical of lace boots in general .

And for one main reason , the lack of adjust does not make for the best situation in regards to fit .

But there's also a big personal preference aspect to fit as well .

So I can't say 100% that these are bad and you should not buy them .

If you like the idea of lace foods and you want something fairly inexpensive , you'll probably enjoy the experience of the predator 19.3 lace .

However , I'm somebody that likes my boots to feel very secure and fit , very snug on my feet .

And if that's you , you probably won't like these and you probably won't like any other lace boots either because they don't have that super tight secure fit because of the lack of adjust ability with any lace boot .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

These included once they're on your feet that's the way they fit .

You can't make them tighter , you can't make them looser , you can't adjust them in any way at all .

You kind of just have to hope that they fit you really well .

And of course , I'll talk in more detail about the fit during the on feat portion of this video .

But as a whole , this suffers from all the same issues as other lace boots that I've worn .

They're not bad .

They get the job done .

The lockdown is ok given that they fit you properly , but that's just it , the lockdown is simply ok .

Is this going to be the best performing boot at this particular price point ?

Absolutely not .

But as a lace product , as a lace football boot , I can in fact confirm that they do stay on your feet , which is pretty important .

Moving on the insole is fully removable and honestly , very cheap considering that these are 100 bucks .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

It has a mesh liner on top and it's made from a single layer of this pretty much perfectly flat black foam , very , very thin and some glue that they had in the fore foot and toe that was not very sticky , moving to the base , you'll find what is essentially a take down variation of the control frame that you find on the higher end models .

It ends up looking very similar , but it's technically a different type of plastic , deeper plastic that admittedly is a little bit thinner and slightly more flexible that I honestly don't mind .

It's not a bad soul plate by any means at all .

And then as far as the stud pattern is concerned , it's the same stud pattern you'll find across the entire predator line up .

Nothing spectacular .

In my opinion , the same layout you'll pretty much find across the entire Adidas brand .

It works well on firm natural grass .

You can get away with wearing it on a G as well , but certainly not my personal favorite .

And then finally , when it comes to weight , the Lace Predator 19.3 in a size 9.5 US weighs in at 9.59 point six ounces , which is obviously not super light .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

There are much lighter options from other football boots at this price point that are less expensive .

However , I think if you're really interested in this boot , you probably don't care too much about the weight , you're just into the whole lace system and to be fair .

The top end Predator 19 plus in the same size weighs in at about 9.2 ounces .

So the top model is almost just as heavy and I don't want to call these heavy , but they aren't going to have a light weight feel on your feet if that's what you were hoping for now , obviously , because these are lace putting them on can be a little bit more tricky than normal , but honestly , it's not too bad .

I like to use both hands to put them on , kind of slide my foot in like this , then use my back thumb to support the heel structure at the back of the boot and then just kind of pull my foot in like that , adjust it around the sides and that's pretty much it .

Once they're , there's nothing else to do on feet .

The predator 19.3 lace list does feel , ok .

I wouldn't say that the boots feel cheap in any way .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

It's a mesh based upper , which honestly is not going to feel too far off a knitted based upper , which is essentially exactly what you get from the predator 19 .

Plus that's a lot more expensive .

However , they definitely don't feel as good as the top end predator 19 plus model does the heel lockdown in particular , I think is a little bit lackluster .

It just has a little bit of a shallower fit in general , which is not uncommon with any Adidas Takedown model .

But given the fact that these are lace list , the lockdown as a whole is a little bit more compromised than it would normally be just because there's nothing forcing your heel into the back of the boot .

So heel slippage , I would say is somewhat of an issue here .

This is not a boot that I would particularly like to play in based on how they feel , but you definitely can play in them with minimal discomfort .

I would say if you like a looser fit , you probably won't mind this particular boot as far as width is concerned .

It's definitely higher volume than what you'll find from the higher end model as well .

It also has some decent width to them .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

If you had really wide feet , you might have some trouble putting these on , but most people will be able to put them on their feet whether or not they'll fit you really well and secure enough or at least as secure as you'd like them to fit .

That's something that you kind of have to just experience for yourself by actually trying them on .

But again , if you like the idea of a lace , you're probably not going to mind the fit of this particular their product .

And then as far as sizing is concerned , I'm wearing these at 9.5 us and the length is pretty much perfect .

So if you are looking to order a pair for yourself , I would strongly recommend going through to size in order to achieve the best possible fit .

So in conclusion , if you have $100 to spend on a pair of football boots and you're dying to try something lace .

This is probably what you want .

I don't think that they are particularly great , but they do get the job done and function as lace boots and you really don't have any other option as of right now .

I'm sure that will change in the near future .

However , if you have $100 to spend and you're just looking for the best possible football boots for your money .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

This is definitely not what I would buy for obvious reasons .

They're good .

They're wearable but certainly not a top option and definitely not better than any of the top end Adidas lace boots .
