Hi , everyone .
This is a welcome to Turkish food recipes in this episode .
I'm excited to share a recipe that amazingly delicious made on top in a pan using only one egg , one apple and some dates walnuts .
And it will also have its caramel sauce .
It comes out so delicious and beautiful that they're not gonna believe you made it on pan on stoop .
So let's get started first , I'm going to make a caramel sauce for my apples for this .
Simply I'm gonna uh mel one tablespoon butter .
It's two tablespoon sugar .
This is simple Vape .
I'm not gonna use heavy cream to make a regular sauce rather than that .
Uh The apple is gonna cook with this uh simple sauce .
Uh burn it a little bit and create its uh caramel sauce .
I'm gonna turn off the heat now and prepare the apples .
Actually .
Uh I had to use the two apples for the recipe , but I only had one at that time and since we not go out that much because of the Coronavirus and I was eager to try the recipe on my mind .
So I decided to use one apple and some dates .
I had at home since it's Ramadan time .
Uh We have lots of dates , but of course , either way you can do so I sliced my apples thinly and I use about uh 56 dates .
Uh I half them , pitted them and then cut it one more time .
Land wise .
So I have four piece from one date and I thought some walnuts would be a good combination altogether .
I try to chop it again lengthwise as much as I can because I'm going to arrange them now to my pan .
Ok .
This is important .
I'm using non stick pan and the pan size is 22 centimeters and the cake better .
I'm gonna make nicely covers my fruit apples .
So it is perfect for this pan size .
But if you are making in , it's in a bigger pan , you might need to double the size or maybe make , make it 1.5 measurements .
And of course , you might need to use uh two apples and uh dates , two more dates too .
So I arranged it like a flower first apples just perfectly fits and then dates and the walnuts on the center .
So let's begin to make the cake better .
It's very easy .
I have a one large egg and I'm going to add one of 1/4 cup of granulated sugar or it is a three tablespoons .
If you think it will be less sugar , you can add a one tablespoon more .
I'm going to biscuit like uh 30 40 seconds until it is froy .
But meanwhile , I wanted to begin to bake my apples first because the cake will not gonna take that much and continue to whisk .
As you can see , it is frosty now and I'm going to add four tablespoons of olive oil .
If your pan is like 24 centimeter , not that big like it .
You , you , you have to double , you can increase the only the , the only the uh sugar , olive yogurt a little bit and then add more flour just uh eyeballing to make it more better .
So after the oil , I added three tablespoon yogurt and 1/4 cup milk .
If you don't have yogurt , you can add half cup milk .
That's an option .
And uh I'm gonna sift the uh flour .
Uh I added half cup flour and one heaped tablespoon corn starch .
Again , the corn starch makes it more a delicate cake , the texture , but it is optional .
I like to use it these days to my cake better .
If you don't have just one more uh tablespoon of flour , I also added one uh teaspoon baking powder and vanilla and pinch off a baking soda to the , to my bed .
First , I wanted to mix everything and then decide if it needs more flour .
It looks runny .
So I added a one tablespoon more flour and you can do the same again .
Uh adding the last amount of flour to uh later after you check the better .
OK .
My apples are uh sizzling in the butter and sugar mixture .
Now , actually , I was curious here , if it , if my better will the cover apples ?
I wasn't sure because it just barely , it covers it .
But after it bakes , it was just perfect .
Not too much uh cake .
So here we go .
First I use this lid and then I decided to use this one because you have to make sure no steam comes out from the pan to make a , a warm environment to cook our cake better and uh make it like a low temperature but not too low .
Actually , I put it a very low heat .
Uh So it took time about 12 minutes , let's say .
So the cake batter is set .
Now when I touch it , it doesn't stick , I'm going to turn it over .
So I found this uh pancake pan and brush with some oil and uh turn it over to that pan .
You can also use some uh plates , flat plates or flat lids if you have .
And here we go .
Yes , I was so happy to see the result here .
Uh But it was a little bit like um I could cook it a little more even though it looks nice here , I wanted to have a more caramelized top , a little bit , little bit more color .
So I decided to turn it over again after I cooked the uh top of the cake , which will be the bottom after we flip it and cooked for about two more minutes until I have more colors on the apples and turned over again .
Then you turn over , uh , whatever you are cooking on pan .
The best way is actually , uh , something , some plate or a flat lit that , uh , fits inside the pan .
This way , the cake will be tight and not gonna be risky to fall over or break .
And here we are the uh final result , beautifully baked .
I think it looks like a , a sunflower .

It was the last day before the Ramadan .
So we had our coffee time in the afternoon , but I'm planning to make it again because I really loved it a lot .
The caramelized apples and dates with walnuts all together and the best thing is it is simply made in pan here .
As you can see , the cake is very spongy cooked .
Well , not too much uh cake better .
