What's up guys and welcome to today's video .
If you remember .
Not too long ago , I was lucky enough to find my very first car with the help of Mike Massey shadow , Mike Massey .
So my E 46 3 25 I , you might notice it already has the front bumper that I used to have .
This is a Z H P bumper .
It's actually a replica just like the one that I had back when I had my , the color is not perfect , but for now until I repaint the whole car because it was missing a front bumper and the rear bumper .
I now have Z H P front and rear bumpers .
The color is just a little bit off .
But today in this video , we are going to dive into the car and I'm trying to resist doing the fun stuff first and that is like coil overs wheels , putting a roof rack on it and I want to get the thing mechanically sound .
Every time I drive this car I get spider bites .
So we bug bombed it .
It's been sitting with like all the bug stuff to make it not have bugs .
So hopefully they're gone , but cleaning the interior , not something I'm excited to do .
So , it's going to come next right after this thing got dropped off .
Me and Duarte walked around and tried to make a master list of what the car needed .
He's a biggie 46 guy .
He knows a lot of the little things that fail , both mechanically and cosmetic .
So we made that master list and now we got it .
As you can see , we're starting up with a lot of parts and pretty much all this stuff is either O E or O E replacements .
I'm super excited to let you guys know that I'm working with F C P U on this project for O E stuff for aftermarket stuff .
Whenever we're ordering things for the Euro cars , we already work with F C P .
But I knew I was going to have a lot of questions because there's a lot of year variances .
There's a lot of different parts to choose and their team helped us dial in the list to make sure we got exactly what we needed .
I know some of you .
I watch my videos .
I also work at F C P and it's cool to hear from them how excited you guys are about this project .
But you don't know F C P is actually out of Milford Connecticut too .
So being that this car came from Connecticut originally and that's where I grew up at school to be working with a Connecticut company on a build that in my mind is so heavily tied to Connecticut .
I don't even know what we're going to have time to get into today .
This looks like probably like three days of work .
So first thing we got to do , open up all the boxes and come up with a plan of attack .
I know all this stuff looks exciting .
But before we get into that , we , we have an ongoing debate going on in the shop of whether or not it's gonna hurt to jump into this Jesus .
They requested that I put a cushion for my head .
I think it will be fine .
That was so funny , bro .
I don't think a single one popped .

You're done , dude , we may have went a little overboard .
This is the fun side .
This is all the cosmetic stuff , everything from window trim , glass seals , shift boots , lights , badges , and then this is the side that no one ever likes to do like window regulators , radiator cooling stuff .
And I want to reiterate that this car is going to have multiple stages .
And at some point , I do want to put a different engine in it .
I haven't decided yet , but stage one , I want the car to be able to drive , run safely , be able to stop , be able to run without stalling .
So we had a little ghetto fix with some JB .
Well , last time with the cooling system and now we're just going to do it right .
So , we've got new hoses , water pump , thermostat , belts , clutch fan , radiator .
We'll see how quickly we knock that out .
Usually in this scenario it wouldn't be too fun doing the cooling system because you got to deal with draining cooling , making a mess and everything .
But we're in luck because this puppy's been running with no cooling for the past couple of weeks .
So she's bone dry .
Really ?
Oh , jeez .
The burn out .
It started with cool during the burnout but it ended without the , it's just a crack .
We're coming up with a game plan .
We'll talk soon suck .
So we didn't have all these parts back when it was all a part .
First .
Steps , remove all the plastic junk .
So you see , don't , don't smell that .
Don't smell that .
Oh , it smells like , uh , another version of a to , but it smells better than TJ S .
We're probably going to tag team the cooling system first .
But while I'm removing stuff , I'm actually going to do a smoke test in this car when they get old and brittle , you'll have lots of vacuum leaks .
And that could be part of the reason why the car isn't running very well because the math is seeing a certain amount of air but the car is not actually getting it .
It's actually getting more because of the fact that air is escaping in post .
So even though it doesn't look like there's a lot coming out of this , it's like a baby oil or something that's safe for the car .
When it like fills up inside of a system , it'll start to pour out of any holes in this case .
I'm assuming there's probably a leak here .
It looks like this probably was brittle and cracked at some point and you can see that someone repaired it .
We're gonna stick a little girl in there and see .
Yeah , look at that right off the rope .
I bet y'all did .
Honestly , that's probably where 90% of the problem is coming from .
I just that one and see where they come from .
It would be cool if I could just get a new one of those .

But whenever you're working anything on the intake side , if you have a lot of debris like this really , really good idea to vacuum it first .
Otherwise when you pull it off , you could end up dropping stuff in the cylinder .
Don't want that .

Obviously , these have seen better days , but on the off chance that you're still watching us , I want to say your name was Kevin Quezada .
And you took me to , I think it was your dad or your dad friend shop in Danbury that specialized in H ID installs back in the day .
And I remember you guys hooked it up with some H I Ds in this car .
I almost feel bad taking them out , but there's no way they still work and this is definitely old technology .
But working on this car is like going down memory lane , we were just pulling out the cabana filter me remembering , like , when me changing that I was looking up forums and Diy s and shut up Cabana filter , bro .
I was like 16 .
So literally , I think I was 15 when I started working on this car .
Yeah , I knew how to work on a bike though .
I'm like , honestly , like , yeah , bikes are pretty easy to convert to cars .
I like puzzles though .
And that's definitely what a BMW is .

So the reason why I'm moving , this is because if there's any power anywhere in those wires , we're probably gonna get some shorts and we only wear pants around here , your camera guy with the jokes .
So these were for the angel eyes that I had at one point and , uh , I'm actually gonna be putting them back in , but again , I'm just deleting all the old wiring that I don't trust anymore .
Look , I , I tapped into a wire in the fuse box .
Look at me .

And it honestly , one of them still worked too .
I can't wait to put those back in later .
You know , I don't even remember using a relay , but I guess I did want to leave this and make my life easier when I'm putting them back in .
I shouldn't be taking the headlights off right now .
But I'm like , there's too much mess and chaos going on and I just want it gone stressing me out a fun fact .
There's no 10 mil bolts or screws anywhere holding the headlights in .
That wasn't me .
Someone wanted to steal my angel eyes .
I guess the before and after it's gonna go stupid .

Go , go injectors got a lot of crud in them .
Thankfully we have an injector cleaner .
A little trick that Jaimie Marsh taught me was actually before putting an injector cleaner , open them backwards and then sending a little bit of compressed air through them to just blow it any debris .
And you can actually see it usually on paper .
If there was anything that came out of the feed side , you wanna ask me where the feed was ?
Because he's removing the fuel rail .
I said it's in the trunk .
Yo , someone took it out , there's a bag in here , the feed , there's literally a bag of like feed for animals .
That's why that was it .

That's the , that's the fuel filter , the fluid pump , the fluid pump filter , fluid pump filter rain on me .
This looks like a regulator , right ?

Makes sense because there's no like free return on the fuel fuel line .

This is not how you're supposed to take the radiator out .

One , super cool thing about F C pe is they actually have a lifetime warranty on their parts .
So whether a part wears out or something goes wrong , you essentially order a second one and then when you ship the old one back , they'll actually refund your order .
So all you end up paying is the cost of return shipping .
People do have brake pads , oil and it's legit .
It sounds too good to be true .
But just a cool thing that F C pe does .

So once this is in place and it just attaches to this bird poop on my new M three seats , it just so happened that Duarte happened to have a set of black E 46 M three seats that have been sitting right here on this over here .
I was just scrolling by on my daily route , you know , checking on my gators .
We got baby gators on , Maybe we can go find one and I saw him sitting here .
So I gave him a ring .

So the 46 sedan is getting black M three seats .
They're not perfect , but I'd say they're about 15 to 20% better than the ones that are in my car and they'll have nice bolsters since now , but I've evolved into a better driver .
I really got to get stuck in my seat .
I can't be flying around as I'm shredding the compound in my E 46 325 by automatic sedan and pushing about 183 ft pounds of horse power and torque .
They're equal because it's a really efficient motor .

This thing is definitely a bit of a departure from the normal cars we used to working on .
We kind of got spoiled with all the clean , simplified race cars , but Johann killed it on getting the complicated intake manifold back together and we're about to start it and see if it runs better than it did before .
With fuel system cleaned .
All the vacuum leak , fixed , completely overhauled cooling system with all the goodies from F C P fingers crossed .
Uh You put a jump back on it .
It's a brand new battery , brand new because I didn't connect the positive all the way and the battery might not charge .
Remember that stupid wire that came through the intake and then back through here and then , yeah , bro , you don't have compression .
Is there no plugs in the matter ?
I don't , I didn't touch them .
