What's NEW in Las Vegas for 2022! 😲

Hey guys , it's Ruby back again with another Vegas update video , but this isn't just any update video .

This is what's new in Las Vegas for 2022 .

We're gonna be going over pretty much the entire year .

Tons of hotels and restaurants shows all kinds of awesome stuff to cover in this video before we get started .

Let's just jump right into all of the news for what's new in 2022 .

The very first thing you may notice when you land in Las Vegas is that you are now landing in the Harry Reid International Airport .

They have changed the name of the airport .

They are also doing a lot of renovating to the airport and they have some concepts of what the airport is going to be looking like .

So it's been under construction for like the last year or so gonna be really great when it's done .

Hotel news .

Ok .

This is the huge story for 2022 .

The Mirage has been sold to the hard rock .

They are tearing down the Mirage .

I am very sad .

I know a lot of you guys are gonna be sad too .

The Mirage was the first place I stayed at in Vegas .

They're tearing down the iconic volcano .

Now , this is gonna take some time to do .

I don't think we're going to see any changes for like at least a few years .

But once they tear this thing down , they're gonna put a gigantic guitar tower in the front .

So it's going to totally change the landscape of the Vegas strip .

The hard rock did kind of pull a fast one .

They sold their not so great location over to the Virgin and now bought one of the best locations on the strip .

Let me know what you guys think about this .

I'm really sad .

I , I'm usually a big fan of change .

I like change , but I love the Mirage .

I'm so sad to hear this on other news .

As far as hotels , the Moon Hotel , the hotel that's going to be , it's like a moon and gonna be like you're on another planet .

Like the concepts for what they're planning to do for this hotel are so bizarre .

It seems like something that would be in like a theme park more than in Las Vegas .

But they're going to be building the Moon Hotel .

They're projecting it to be open 2026 or 2027 but they're planning to break ground this year .

So a totally spherical hotel like they have like rovers in the inside or something .

They want to take people places .

It's going to be really funny .

The Majestic Hotel , this is gonna be on Convention Center Drive .

It is basically there for conventions .

It's non gaming , non smoking , all suites , five stars .

And so this is gonna be really , really high class , beautiful upscale hotel but no gaming , no smoking .

So this is for those convention center people that want to have a very chic time and not a lot of noise or chaos .

The Dream Hotel is gonna be breaking ground .

This is the hotel that's gonna be right by the airport like right on top of the airport .

It is a boutique hotel so it's going to be small , but there's a lot of dissent about this .

People don't know how they feel about there being a hotel right that close to the airport going to be really interesting .

That one is called the Dream Fountain Blue .

I'm not going to talk about it for too long because I've been raving about the Fountain Blue all year long but end of 2022 it's supposed to be open , meaning I can finally go stay at Fountain Blue at the end of 2022 review it for you guys .

It'll be like a long saga .

Finally coming to an end , another hotel off strip that's gonna be opening is gonna be called the Durango .

This is by the station casino properties .

They have emphasized like indoor outdoor spaces as a big part of this .

And this one is gonna be where there are no nearby casinos in the area .

That's going to be interesting to see how that does .

I know that they're kind of a big fan of doing off strip properties .

So excited about that one .

The Palms , the only major casino that has not opened yet that we're still waiting on spring of 2022 .

So the San Manuel Tribe has gotten their gaming license .

They are ready to go .

Supposedly early spring the Palms will be open and of course , I will be there for you guys .

I will review it and let you know another cool hotel that's opening is the English Hotel by Todd English .

This is going to be in the arts district , adults only , no resort fees and again another small boutique as hotel .

This one , they said they wanted you to feel like you're in Todd English's house .

So they want you to feel like a house guest .

Kind of cool that they're putting one in the arts district .

Very excited to see that open .

The Rio has been sold to Hyatt Hotels , so the Rio is no more .

They are going to be doing a multi phased renovation plan .

So I don't have any more updates on that one .

I will let you guys know all the updates on these hotels all throughout the year as we get more information on them .

But a ton of stuff coming in the next upcoming years , let's do some restaurants we have touched on Vander Pump , Paris a couple of times .

This is supposed to open very early this year in 2022 .

I cannot wait to go and see .

This .

Vander Pump is the Lisa Vander Pump bar and lounge concept .

Very swanky fancy cocktails instagrammable .

Gonna be a great fit for Paris and the Martha Stewart restaurant is also planning to come to Paris .

There are all these rumors that Snoop Dogg is also involved , but there's no confirmation on that .

But we know that Martha will be bringing a restaurant to Paris as well .

Wakuda high end Japanese cuisine will be arriving at Palazzo with the chef named Wakuda .

He's gonna be doing like approachable high end is how they put it .

So we'll see what that means .

Very curious , another nice Japanese place coming to the Palazzo R PM .

It is coming to the forum shots that is Juliana and Bill ran restaurants and it's gonna be kind of , I think they said some like home cooked sort of situation that they want to do at R PM .

I know this isn't the first R PM to open and some of you guys have told me that you really like the other restaurants .

So that will be in the forum shops , walk on sports bistro .

This is Drew Brees restaurant .

It's going to be replacing Toby Keith at .

I know a lot of you guys were really sad to see Toby Keith go away at , we are now getting kind of a new sports bar .

Sort of a similar concept is being replaced here .

Speaking of Toby Keith , country music , Blake Shelton is opening the old red Honky Tonk in front of Bally's .

So where the bizarre shops are , they're gonna be building a building and it is going to be a honky Tonk .

So food concerts , hopefully , line dancing .

That'll be really fun when that's open .

Uh The Jonas Brothers family .

You guys know the Jonas brothers , the band , their family is gonna be opening a Southern restaurant in side of the M G M grand based off of their grandmother's old southern cooking .

So like biscuits and gravy and things like that .

Classics like that .

The Dominique Ansel Bakery is set to open at Caesars Palace summer of 2022 .

So high end pastries , I did see that .

They are famous for Queen A man which is basically a sugar crusted croissant .

They're delicious .

So excited to give that a try when that's open and a new Nobu is also going to be opening inside of Paris .

So no , has several locations .

They're one inside Caesars , they're gonna be opening one in Paris as well .

So another Japanese restaurant , let's talk about buffets briefly .

I want to talk about ones that are still closed .

That we haven't heard about yet .

We have no information on Bay's Sterling brunch .

The Paris buffet , Flamingo buffet or the Aria buffet .

We haven't heard any news on , are they gonna reopen or are they permanently closed ?

Aria ?

There are rumors that that one's permanently closed but we haven't heard anything Valley's Paris or Flamingo yet .

Mandalay Bay and Mirage are permanently closed .

They are not coming back , but these are kind of the last buffets that we're still waiting on so that I can go and review them for you guys gonna be doing some more buffet reviews coming up here on some of the other ones that have just recently reopened as well .

So stay tuned for those .

I'm gonna briefly just talk about mask mandates right now as of now , masks are still required indoors if you are not actively eating , drinking , smoking and the level in which they're enforcing , it varies wildly from person to person as far as their experiences .

I don't know when they're getting rid of them .

I'm optimistic that it will be sometime this year .

I hope thoughts on that .

Just know that they are still required right now .

Shows there's some big headliners I want to touch on briefly .

Luke Bryan is coming to Resorts World early this year in 2022 .

Kiss at the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood .

They will be coming as well .

Adele is doing her Caesars residency , January through April so early this year .

As well .

Michael Buble will be coming in April to Resorts World .

If you want to see a crooner and John legend will also be at Planet Hollywood at the Zappos theater in April .

Huge names , big concerts .

You can go and check out tickets for those .

Now , they should be up and available .

The CE S tech convention will be arriving January 5th through the eight speaking of conventions , I want to talk about the Elon Musk , what people are calling it the people mover .

I don't know if that's like what it's name is actually going to be .

But if so , I love that because it's like Disney World .

But basically this tunnel is going to take you to the Convention Center saving you between 15 and 25 minutes of walking .

But they plan to extend this tunnel to go to all over the strip the airport downtown .

These basically Tesla vehicles that will be going underground can take you everywhere .

So that's gonna be incredible when it is done .

Very excited to see that being built easier transportation for people in Vegas and the World Series of Poker than to be at Bays in Paris .

And I don't understand how that works because they're two different hotels .

But as far as we know , Baileys and Paris are going to be having the World Series of Poker .

Speaking of poker rooms , the Flamingo poker room is permanently closed .

This has been fueling some rumors about the Flamingo being sold too .

That would devastate me .

I hope we don't start losing all of the famous old iconic hotels .

The Flamingo needs to stay put .

So I'm hoping that's not true , but just know their , their poker room is totally closed in the name of big concert arenas .

The MS G Sphere concert arena will be open early of 2023 .

They have been working on that one .

That's that huge dome that they're gonna be holding concerts in .

That one won't be open until the following year , but they are working on it currently .

Ok .

I want to talk about my upcoming trip and I also wanted to stop and do a couple of frequently asked questions .

I've noticed I have so many new subscribers .

I mentioned things a lot in my videos that you guys are kind of like , wait , what is that ?

What are you talking about ?

So I want to briefly touch on those before announcing my next trip , the $20 trip .

Here's what you do .

Take your credit card , take your ID , put $20 between them when you come up to the desk and they say hi , can I see your credit card and your ID hand them the whole sandwich and say if you have any complimentary upgrades available ?

That would be amazing .

Now , I've gotten comments saying you don't have to hide the 20 you don't have to tip them .

You don't have to this or that .

This is just how I do it .

Ok .

If they don't have anything available , they do give you the 20 back .

I've gotten that question a lot too .
