How to Draw King Kong

Hey , welcome back to guitar and let's draw the awesome looking King Kong .

So let's get started with a quick sketch and then I will show you line by line on how you can draw this .

All right .

So let's draw this King Kong and begin .

We're gonna start out with this eye area first .

We're just gonna draw in two lines and this is gonna be kind of like the mean brow .

So let's draw two lines lining up first and then from there , we're gonna draw on his eye .

So right underneath the uh the brow there just draw like two little lines like this first , just a slight curb and then we'll finish up the bottom , just come down .

OK ?

And now on the inside , just kind of draw like a half circle right underneath the upper lid and I'm just gonna shade it all the way in .

It's kind of small .

So I won't be able to leave a highlight .

OK ?

So that's gonna be the eye area and then right in the middle here , let's just give them some creases and then from here we're gonna draw on this .

No .

So right in between the eyes just come down , draw one line across and then on the sides come down and then come back toward the center and then for the nostrils just inside , just draw two little lines here .

And I'm gonna make it a little bit thicker and then in the middle here , we can add one little line .

OK .

So now let's draw in the , uh , finish up the eye area here .

So right on the corner here , I'm gonna come down , come back in and then from there , we're gonna draw one big curves going right over the nose right here .

So I'm just gonna come in first and then come across , just finish up that line .

OK ?

So it's got a very deep socket here .

All right .

So now let's come down and uh finish up his mouth and then we're drawing the rest of the head here .

So we'll just come down .

So leave a little bit of space here .

I'm just gonna draw .

So it's kind of like a mean face , OK ?

Very wide .

And then for the lower lip , I'm just gonna add a smaller line .

OK ?

And then from the nose right here , just gonna draw one curve going all the way to the corner here .

So start right here and then just curve down .

All right .

So now let's fill in the rest of the face .

So when I come across here to the side , just gonna draw almost like a straight line here , just gonna give it a slight curve inwards and then now we can finish up the top .

So we just go up and his head's gonna be a little bit pointy .

So this curve in and then on the top , just continue it and close it off .

OK .

So now let's draw in the bottom .

We'll continue this down , just add like a little check mark at the end , that's gonna be part of his fur and then come to the center here like a little V shape and then whatever space you have in here just come down and then just close it off .

OK .

So that's gonna be the head shape .

And then now for the details inside here , come back to the center , just land up and then we'll curve all the way around the eyes .

It come down , curve curved down just following this direction there in the mouth .

And then we can add a couple of lines here just for the fur , even for the top here in the middle .

And then we'll draw a couple more to each side .

And even on the bottom here , we can add , there's a couple of lines like this to make it look like fur .

OK ?

So that's the head and yeah , the body is a little bit easier .

Uh So let's finish up this uh ear right here .

We can see part of it .

So just from the eye just come out , just gonna draw two little curbs that's gonna be his ear .

And then now the straw has a really strong body .

So around the ear here got a really thick neck and shoulders .

OK ?

We got curve out .

So this is gonna be a shoulder nice and wide .

And then now when I come to the center here , we're gonna join the uh the chest area first .

So right around here , just curve down .

So this armpit is gonna be right here and we can actually draw a line here .

That's gonna be his armpit .

OK .

And then from here , we'll continue down .

This is gonna be all the way down to his waist right here and we'll close that off in the center here .

Let's draw one line and then for his chest muscle right here , just come down , just kind of connect to the , uh , the armpit line there , just curve down and then let's go back up .

OK .

So let's draw one more section down here and then we'll finish up the arm .

So we're gonna continue this .

This is gonna be his hip .

So just all the way in and then close it off .

So that's gonna be a good stopping point .

So his leg is gonna be starting here .

All right .

So let's go back up here and finish up the arm .

So here's the armpit curve , slow bracket .

Here's the elbow flare out with a lower arm and then just come in right here .

It's gonna be the wrist and this one is gonna be straight down .

So here's the wrist and then for his hand right here , we're gonna start with his thumb .

So we're just gonna curve down and then just kind of hook it back up .

So just a little hook and then we're gonna draw one new line across here , just come down .

That's gonna be the inside of palm and then we'll continue this , here's the back of the palm .

OK ?

So now for his other fingers , we just draw a little hook like this on the bottom .

Round it out , here's the fingertip and then whatever space you have here just curve and then close it off .

So that's one finger and then for the other fingers , we're gonna draw just a little hook on the back there .

OK ?

So let's draw in the other one .

So here's the armpit , just come out a little bit curb , curb , nice and strong .

And then here's the lower arm flare out , slight curve coming back in .

So just use the other side for reference .

This one is straight down .

And then again , for his hand for his thumb just come out strong , little hook and then inside here little curve going down back at the palm .

And then for a set of finger , little hook just round it off with the fingertip and then close this off and then again , just one little hook inside for the other fingers .

OK ?

So that's the upper body nice and strong and then for his leg .

So we're gonna continue with this , um , make it really strong here .

This is gonna be , I think it's called the solar Plex .

Ok .

So we're just gonna curve in here to this point .

So here's his hip and then we got draw on his leg starting here .

So we gotta go back out this curb .

5555 , come back on the inside here , curve out here .

So here's his knee and we just draw a little bracket .

So in here , Curb right here , just swallow bracket .

I know it looks a little bit strange .

So let's finish out the legs .

So that won't be so weird .

So now on the side here , go out , come back in .

Ok ?

So that's gonna be his leg and then the foot's down here .

So let's draw on the other side first .

So we just flare out and then come back in and if you want , we can just kind of close it off , just kind of zigzag it around like they look like fur , OK ?

And then for his toes .

So right now underneath here , it's just gonna draw like a little circle .

So it's gonna be one of his toes .

And then in here on the top , draw a little triangle for the nails right here .

So on this side , this one's gonna go out just kind of hook it back in and then start here this little angle for the nail OK .

So now let's try the , I guess the toe just come down here , come out and just curve it back and connect to this circle here .

And then again , just a little angle here for the toenails .

And then now whatever space you have here , we just close it off , that's gonna finish up his foot .

OK .

So same thing here right in underneath here , just come down , draw like a little oval near the top or the center , just draw a little triangle and then here we're gonna go out a go for the nail and then we come back here , come down .

It's kind of curve it around and then connect to this same thing here for the nail and then close everything off .

All right .

So that is it for this King Kong .
