3x3 Cube Tutorial - Solving the Yellow Side

Hello , people of the youtube .

So on my last video I showed you guys how to solve the first two layers here .

So once you have these first two layers , you can now on to the next step and fill up the yellow side .

Now if you don't know how to do this already , go watch my previous video and go ahead and get the hang of that .

All right .

So the first thing you wanna keep in mind is that there is three things that you can have when solving the yellow side , it can be having the yellow dot And these two yellows aren't here and just have the yellow dot there .

Second thing you can have is this backwards and then the third thing you can have is just a yellow straight line .

So once you just have these colors , it doesn't matter how you hold it .

As long as this , the top face is what you're gonna be moving .

So picture this backward yellow line like a sitting down bear doesn't really look like it , but it's an easy way to remember this .

All right .

So this is a bear right here .

And so what you wanna do with this bear ?

What does a bear have on its skin ?

Fur ?

I hope you guys knew that answer because that's kind of obvious .

So anyway , they have fur on their skin , right ?

So fur , it's three letters are front up , right ?

So what you wanna do is front up , right ?

Then you're gonna kind of reverse it up , inverted , right ?

Inverted , front , inverted .

Once you have that you should be able to get the cross here .

And so the other thing you can have is the straight line .

So I'm gonna get right to that .

All right .

So when you have the straight line , ignore any other Q uh Q bs that you have there .

Just ignore those and focus on this yellow straight line .

Picture it as a banana once again , it doesn't look like it , but just think of it like that .

Now banana is a fruit and fruit starts with F ru .

So you want to do front right up , right , inverted up , inverted , front , inverted until you get the cross again .

Ignore these two .

But what you can also do is think of this as a tank .

When you get the tank , you wanna rotate it until you have one yellow on your left .

So like if you're holding it like this , you want yellow right here .

So what you do for this , you do right up , right , inverted uh right up , up , right inverted .

Now you might want to memorize that algorithm because it's very important to get the yellow side .

So you might come back to the cross or you might get it already solved .

But what you wanna do is you have these two yellows here or wherever they might be up here , you always want them on your left , the more you have on this side , the better as long as you have one right here on your left .

Ok .

So again , you do right up , right , inverted up , right up , up , right inverted .

And you keep on trying to solve that until you get the fish .

Now the fish is your lucky sign in order for you to solve the yellow side .

So you don't want the fish facing like this like that or like that , you want it facing like that , that way the fish is staring at you .

Now this fish , you do the same thing except you want it to face you .

So you wanna do right up , right , inverted up , right up , up , right inverted and that and like that you should get the yellow side .
