I am so excited .
This one is metallic .
It is shiny .
I can see myself what the heck uh how to solve the cube .
Yes .
People will be learning on this cube .
Hope you can read Chinese literally , there's only Chinese on this useless first turns .
This is hilarious .
I love this .
Wait a minute .
There we go .
I got the whole cube in frame now .
This is so stupidly big .
Let's try J perm .
Um Actually , yeah , I think I should do the shorter J perm if I'm gonna be doing it on this cube .
Oh OK .
Let's try that again .
Ah There we go .
We got the J perm .
This cube is so big .
I wonder if the pieces are larger than three by three S .
The answer is yes .
As it turns out this is bigger than 27 3 by threes .
How should I even be turning this thing ?
If I turn the top , it's actually pretty easy .
But if I want to turn the sides , I have to lift it off the table a little , little bit .
Uh That should be fine .
Oh What about slice moves ?
Oh That's , yeah , that's , that's just terrible .
Uh I can't really do finger tricks .
Like index finger .
Oh , reverse push .
00 , wow .
That almost works .
D moves .
Oh , yeah .
Oh , that's perfect Reger .
Plus F oh , not a chance .
Wait , can this cube corner cut ?
Oh .
How do you , how do you even turn ?
I , I can't tell if it's not corner cutting or I'm just not turning properly .
It's probably not corner cutting .
Ok .
Yeah .
Yeah .
It can do a very little bit .
Let's test reverse corner cutting .
Oh yeah .
Yeah .
Nothing at all .
There .
Wait a second .
Wow , this is way bigger than the 21 by 21 cube .
The biggest cube I have is now just beaten by a three by three .
It feels really dry and maybe this cube could be faster and help me turn .
So I think I should probably put some lube in this .
I have a big bottle of Lunar .
So I'm just gonna use this up now .
I don't think I should use all of it .
The bottle says to use six drops , but this cube is way bigger than usual .
27 times as big .
So should I use 27 times as many drops ?
Six times , 27 drops is like uh 100 and 62 drops .
No , there's no way .
OK .
The surface area is only nine times .
I think I should use 54 drops .
All right , we're gonna trust the math .
Look at how much we start at and uh let's go .
There is a 100% chance I regret this .
Ok ?
I put in 27 drops .
I am scared to go further .
That's half of what I said .
I would let's just see how it turns .
Oh , that's really weird .
It's just , do you hear that ?
It's like an extra little snap .
I don't know how visible this is , but the green is a little higher than the white .
It's , is actually catching right here sometimes if I'm holding pressure onto the cube from the top .
So I think I'm gonna have to be pretty loose with my turning and not push down on the top .
I don't feel like there's enough lobe .
Yeah , I'm gonna keep putting in 27 more drops .
Oh , wow .
I've used a lot of it but this bottle is pretty big .
54 drops of lunar lube is this cube the best .
Now , who knows ?
Maybe I still even need more lube than that .
But I'm just going to trust the math .
I think 54 is the right number and I'm going to see how fast I can solve this thing now that it is turning .
Amazing .
Just kidding .
A lot of these pieces have that thing where one side is just higher than the other side and I guess the corner is just catching on it as it goes by .
Oh , well , I've struggled with worse before I can do this .
The name of the game here is to be optimal with saving moves and not worry about the speed , optimal stuff .
One regular three by three because there's no turn like U turn or L turn or R turn , that's going to be faster than the others .
They're all the same speed .
I'm actually counting the number of moves .
I have a six move red cross and for green , I have 12345 .
OK , I'm doing the green cross ready set go .
Ok .
Red , white .
And this one yellow as I insert yellow , I'm going to pair up this one and insert it .
Let's go straight into the yellow , orange .
Oh , my .
Oh my .
I can't turn .
Ok .
And we have the yellow red in the back .
Oh my .
This is actually not too bad muscle memory .
Ok .
I think I got the rest wide moves .
Feel really weird .
Ok .
What have we got here ?
Um , this , yes , it's an a perm .
That's the most move efficient PLO .
Oh my God .
Ah , that was just over one minute .
Ok .
This is the luck we needed five moved cross on orange , but with a set up yellow , blue pair .
So this could be the one .
All right .
Ready set go .
Uh , turning is kind of hard on that one .
I , I did too many moves there .
That the thing I just did probably wasn't the best solution .
Ok , let's go .
Let's go .
Lucky .
Last pair got paired up together for me .
Turn .
Uh , how do we do ?
This , this thing doesn't turn .
Sometimes shorter .
J come on .
Oh , yes .
Under one minute , I'm sure I could do that even better with the luckier scramble and better turning .
But , wow , that was fun .
Let's actually see if I can .
Oh , wow .
I could probably loosen this and do much better .
What are the chances this thing pops ?
Right .
That , like , can I , can I take out a piece ?
Oh , I can't .
This is so funny .
It , it just feels like I have baby hands with a normal size cube .
Oh my , this is a pretty like not that great mechanism .
If it can't corner cut .
I wonder if there are any engineering issues when it comes to making cubes bigger because I know you can't just downscale cubes to be smaller ones because those ones aren't always as great .
So upscaling probably has its own issues as well .
Let's do one last thing .
Hey , it's the checkerboard pattern .
OK .
This is a metallic cube .
I don't know how much like it is if it's just the coating , but we're gonna find out .
Oh , wow .
This is so shiny and perfectly reflective .
It's not metal inside , it's just a normal core and metal on the outside or is this even metal or is it just a reflective material ?
I don't know .
You guys tell me it's almost like it's a color changing cube because I can't tell which colors they are as they're moving really fast and just the way the light keeps changing how it reflects .
Like for example , the white side , sometimes it's just reflecting something and it takes on the color of I can't even point because my hand gets there , but it's taking on the color of whatever it's reflecting .
Look at the scrambling that looks amazing .
It looks even better in person than on camera because the cube moves and my head moves .
So actually it's more like this .
This is probably the nicest looking cube that I own .
Sorry , $600 for Sky Cube .
But sometimes money can't buy beauty look even Santa is blocking his eyes from all these reflected lights .
I inspected first two pairs but now I don't know what to do .
Um OK .
Oh wow .
This is so hard to recognize uh V perm .
Did I even do that right ?
Yes , I did .
14 seconds .
Not bad .
This could actually be a pretty good cube .
Let's look at the corner cutting .
It's a bit tough on 45 less than that .
Still kind of tough .
Reverse corner cutting .
OK .
Uh Like tornado levels of corner cutting .
Oh , what year is this ?
It has rounded corners instead of the sharp corners that the corner are so easy .
I'm surprised I didn't get one yet .
Overall , pretty happy with this cube .
I could even just make a full montage of me cubing and watching the fun colors .
Is this why I've still been a cuber all these years ?
Not because I like to push myself to improve .
But because I like watching fun colors move .
Let's not think about it .
And finally we have the Tornado V two , but the blue limited edition winter version , OK .
As soon as I saw this , I just realized this is like the fourth tornado I've opened .
And I'll be honest , every single one I've gotten so far has been a disappointment in its own way .
Oh , the magnet area is yellow .
You know what ?
This would be so much cooler and more exciting if I had not just opened two amazing cubes , one of which looks like this .
Ok .
Maybe I should have opened this one first just to manage expectations .
But there you go .
It's a tornado V two M .
It's got the same corner cutting issues .
Oh , yeah .
Don't get me wrong .
The tornado V two is a very good cube .
It's just that it has this fundamental flaw that makes it not a top speed cube .
You know what I can tell you exactly what happens from here .
I don't really want to put on the stickers .
I think having a blue cube is pretty cool , but I'm gonna put on the stickers anyway , just so I can say I've done it and then I'm going to be disappointed by it and then I'm not going to take them off again because I will be too lazy .
Stickers are just the worst .
The application tape keeps coming up with it .
I have to hold it down .
You know what , for as unbiased as I tried to be in that other video about stickers .
I am very biased now , this sucks .
It's like the stickers won't come off the backing properly when I'm trying to lift it off .
But then when I actually put it onto the cube , then it doesn't want to come off of the application tape .
Like you gotta pick one which side is stickier right there is the orange side , you know what ?
Screw it .
I'm not even taking off the application tape .
The stickers are just gonna come off with it and it's just gonna make me frustrated .
I'm just gonna do algorithms that don't involve any orange pieces , which is just this guys be honest , like does this look good ?
I think sticker less cubes look better because the color is more full and it's nothing against sticker cubes .
I like it when there's a black border because the contrast is great and especially the green side .
It just hurts my eyes to even look at this .
You know what though , I'm satisfied with this unboxing .
We had this and we had this .
If you want to buy these , I'm pretty sure you can't buy the blue cube anymore because it was limited edition and sold out .
So if you want to get any of the others , go to speed cube shop dot com and make sure you use the discount code J Perm .
Thanks for watching and I'll see you all next time .
