How to Solve a Rubik's Cube One Handed

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Everybody .

How's it going ?

It's Gigi cubing .

And today we're gonna learn how to take solving the Rubik's cube a step further how to solve it one handed .

So for one hand , it's solving , you gotta pick either your right or left hand .

Simple choice completely up to you .

I chose my right hand because well , I'm mostly right for most of the things I do and I find it just more comfortable for me .

You can do left hand though to uh maneuver right , moves a lot better , completely up to you .

A lot of fast people use their left hand , but a lot of fast people also use their right hand for the sake of this tutorial .

I'm just gonna use my right because that's what I do .

OK .

So first thing to mention is that you want a good cube for it .

Now , the good cube is up to you .

I know some people like Felix uses an A long V one which is regular size .

This is a V two , but I like to use a mini way long .

It fits a bit better in my hands for one hand .

Um So yeah , just find what's good for you .

All right .

So let's talk about turning .

Now , I'm just gonna turn random moves here .

But um when you move , you use your index finger for you , moves your pinky or you can use your ring finger if you want , I use my pinky though for um your like side moves .

So this would be L and L prime and then ring finger for D moves you rotate and then do a U for R moves .

And then if I would either do my index or thumb .

All right .

So those are the essentials of it .

So it's kind of like , I guess the best thing to do might be to walk you through a solve .

So for this , so I'm not gonna go fancy , let's just do OK .

So when I'm making my cross , just pay attention to how I'm moving the cube .

I have this uh my thumb grips here .

So I have my cross now .

Um a lot of the time I'll do my uh cross on top because it's just easier .

See this pair , see how I'm maneuvering it .

This pair next .

All right .

So then I would go for um two wrong pair , these two pair them up .

All right .

Now I do these two .

Oops wrong , wrong case I did there .

All right .

And then oll so by the way , I wouldn't use full oil illness , I would just use like two oil .

That's what I do .

I don't know the G perms because I , whenever I try , I mean , I do know them , but whenever I try them one handed , I just mess up .

So I would do like a T perm .

You see how , how I do those uh moves and then finish it off with a U perm plls is probably not the easiest thing to do one handed , but U perms easy .

You can do them either with a lefty maneuver if you're right , right hand uh solver or do it on the , the right side .

All right .

So that's basically about it .

It's not a full tutorial on how to become uh a one handed solver , but just a general idea that way you can get started .

So , uh see you guys later .

Peace out .
