All right guys , I'm gonna show you how to pair your , um , Amazon remote to a fire stick or a box or any other Amazon device that you have .

I specifically had the , uh Amazon Fire here as you can see connected and just like many of you , you might , your remote might just quit working and you put your batteries in there , you realize it doesn't work or you lost a little thing .

Um , I lost mine and they're so small and sleek .

I sort of wish they had to make them bigger .

I might have accidentally thrown it away or whatever .

Anyways , I want you to listen very carefully and don't stop when you hear what I say because you've already gone to 100 videos that told you the exact same thing .

Um Mine's different because I went through the same problem .

I looked at all the tutorials and it never worked until , um , I just figured out you have to be persistent with it .

So when you have the remote in your hand , when you're next next to your device , of course , you see that little home button with the little house on it .

Uh Also too .

You want to make sure that your AAA batteries are in , go ahead and open it up and make sure they're in the right direction .

Um , because you might have bought one and not realized that the batteries aren't in it .

So , uh , what you're gonna do is you're gonna hold down the home button for 20 seconds .

Now , you might have already done this before .

That's ok .

Just keep listening to what I'm saying .

So you hold it down for 20 seconds or , you know , hypothetically for demonstrations when you take it off , you might see that it doesn't work .

That's ok .

Hold it down for another 20 seconds .

You might take it off 20 seconds later , still doesn't work .

Hold it down the home button for another 20 seconds and again , you might have to do this 10 times , but eventually it will catch and what's gonna happen is you'll know it catches on the bottom of your screen .

There's gonna be a little box that says remote connected and immediately you'll know that it works .

Um , I bought mine brand new off of ebay .

Um , and I know there's some generic ones that you can get from China and a few others .

And the good thing about this is you don't have to pair , you don't have to download the Amazon app in order to pair your , you know , your new remote .

Um , because I don't want to do that to mine because I got so much stuff on there .

I don't want to reset it .

Um , and I forgot the password .

So , um , so you can see there .

It works just fine with my new uh remote control again .

Be very persistent .

Do not stop if it takes you until it takes you 10 times .

Um If you do it 10 times and there's something wrong .

Um , but I know I'll get you in the right direction .
