Hey guys , Paradox Qing here and today , I'm gonna be doing a beginner's tutorial for on the cross .
And this is uh this video is just to start off my CFA tutorial series .
So I'm gonna be making tutorials uh for beginners that are , that have no clue what CFA or free is .
So just gonna be teaching them all teaching them the cross F two loll and PLL in each separate videos .
So for the first video , we have the cross that I'm that I'm gonna be teaching you and you guys probably already know how to do the cross if you can solve a cue .
But so this video is kind of pointless , but it's just to start off my series .
So it completes the series of the C fault tutorials .
And once I get this cross video done , I'll make an F two L video and then OLL and one for PLO and these are all for beginners , then I'll do the exact same series .
But for advanced .
So if you know , full of free trick method and you're really slow at it like 40 seconds and maybe 50 seconds if you're really slow , but then uh I'll then I'll make advanced tutorials to help you get even faster .
So you can learn , advance up to a advanced cross and stuff like that .
So then you can get even faster like maybe sub 20 or um 32nd , 22nd average around there .
So yeah , for this video , I'm just gonna be showing you the cross and this is for beginners like extremely simple tutorial like anybody can get this .
Um even if you've never solved a queue before you can get this .
But if you have solved a queue before , then it's pro you probably already know how to do the cross .
So yeah , let's get on with it .
So first I wanna scramble your cube , obviously .
OK .
So once you have your keep scrambled , what we're gonna do is look on the hold , hold the white set on the top or whatever side , whatever color you're solving on .
So we're solving on white .
So we're gonna hold white on top .
And then if you have one edge piece already aligned with the cross , you wanna make sure this color is the same .
So we know this color is the same , both the whites .
Now we want both the reds to be the same .
So we're gonna turn it to the red side .
That's good .
See now it's white and then it's matching up with the red .
This means this corner is in the right spot .
I mean , sorry , this edge is in the right spot .
Now we're gonna look on the bottom for any white uh white edge pieces .
So here we have one here .
So we're gonna face it to our cells and it's the orange one .
So what we're gonna do is turn , turn um we're gonna turn it to the orange side like this .
So now that the orange is matching , but now we need to move this white to the top .
So all we're gonna do is simply turn it to the top like that .
Now we notice that the whites are solved and the oranges are and the oranges are solved and the reds are solved and the whites are solved .
So now we need to get the blue and the green .
So we're gonna look on the bottom if there's any white edge pieces , but there aren't this time and this time the white is facing this way .
So what we're going to do is again , just move it to the green side .
So there we go , they're both the greens .
But now this is flipped wrong if this is flipped wrong , what you're gonna do is turn it to the left .
That's it simply just turn it to the left side .
Now it's over there .
We , we , what you're gonna do is bring the white centerpiece down just like that by doing like doing this type of move to bring it down .
Now you're gonna put it uh attach it to the white and bring that white back up .
Now you notice that the oranges are salt , greens are salt and the reds are salt .
So now we're gonna look around .
So now we see that the white is uh based on the bottom and the other color is blue , we're gonna turn to the blue side and it's matching now , so we're gonna simply turn it to the top like that .
Now , we see that the white cross is done .
We're ignoring the corners because we're not doing the corners for in the step .
So the white cross is finished and to know if you did your cross properly is if these colors are all matching .
So we see the greens are matching , the reds are matching , the blues are matching and the white , I mean , the oranges are matching and also the whites are all facing the white .
If your cross looks like this , that means you did it right and you're done the cross .
So , but if your cross doesn't look like that , that means you did something wrong .
So I'm gonna go walk through it a bit a little bit more so you can see how it is .
So if we have no whites on the top , that's OK .
We're gonna look on the bottom .
So now we have two , whites facing the bottom .
We're gonna do this one , the blue , it's already matched up .
So we're just gonna move it to the top next .
We have the green one .
So what we're gonna do is move it to the green side like that and just bring it to the top .
Now look on the bottom .
So we have no more .
And let's see there's an orange here , face , the whites on the side .
So what we're gonna do is bring it to the orange side like that .
And now to solve this , you're gonna bring the right to the left , bring the top the centerpiece down , bring the uh attach the light to the centerpiece and bring the centerpiece back up just like that .
And now we see that the orange is solved and the blue salt and the green salt , now we're gonna move on to the red .
So if this happens where there's no edges , white edges on the bottom and the edges over here , what you're gonna do is turn the empty spot .
So let's say this uh the empty spot is this right because these three are all solved .
This is the empty spot and this is the red .
This is where the red has to go .
So what we're gonna do is move the empty spot on top of the red .
So now it looks like this where the empty spot is here right on top of the red piece .
And we're gonna bring the red and we're gonna bring the red right up .
Now , we see we've completed the cross except all these colors are not matching .
That's OK because all you have to do is turn it back .
So now the colors are all matching because what we did was see how the colors were matching , we turned it .
So the colors were not matching , put the red here and now we turn it back so that all also all the colors are matching .
So this is a very simple tutorial for beginners .
And this is if you , if you already know how to solve the cross , this probably doesn't really help you because I just showed you how to solve a cross .
But if you're having trouble with the cross , like you don't know how to solve the cube and you never solved it before .
So this video should help you with the cross .
And uh yeah , but this isn't , this is not advanced cross .
If you already know how to do the cross , this , this video is not gonna help you , but I'll make an advanced video on the futures .
I'll quickly walk you through one more cross and then that'll be the end of the video .
So we look on the bottom , we see one white piece .
It's the orange and white .
We're gonna move it to the orange side .
Now they're matching the oranges , they're matching the whites on the bottom , move it to the top .
Next , we're gonna look on the bottom and we see nothing and there's no whites on the side either .
So there's no white edge pieces on this , on the bottom layer .
And this is not an edge piece .
This is a corner piece .
This is an edge piece .
So we have no white edge pieces on the bottom .
We , we have one here , one here and the last one is here .
So what we're gonna do is find the empty spot .
So if we were to solve this one , we're gonna find the empty spot .
And , but now there's three empty spots .
We know the green has to go here because the green , if , if this is matched , the green is gonna go here because this is the green side , right ?
So this is where the green has to go .
So you're gonna move this empty spot on top of the green piece and move the green edge to match up with the white .
Now we can move it back .
So the orange is aligned and the green is aligned .
Now we have one more to go .
I mean , sorry , two more to go and we see the red is already matched up .
So we can just easily move that to the top .
Next .
We have the , the blue , it's stuck in one of the middles .
So for this , we're gonna move the empty spot on top of it .
So there's only one empty spot , which means it's for the blue .
So we turn it on top of the blue , bring the blue into the empty spot and we turn and we turn the cross back to normal .
So all the edges are aligned and the cross is done .
So that's all you need to do to solve the cross .
And that was it for this video guys .
If you have any questions , please , please leave them down in the comment section and I'll be sure to answer you .
So yeah , guys , that was it for this video .
If it helped you , then please like it .
And thanks for watching .
