She suggests serving this with a crisp green salad and garlic bread for a family favorite to begin .
We've cooked 5.5 ounces of dry manicotti pasta .
According to the package instructions , drain and rinse them with cold water , then preheat the oven to 350 °F in a large bowl , add one pint of part skim ricotta cheese .
Eight ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese , a half cup of Parmesan cheese , two eggs and one teaspoon of dried parsley seasoned to taste with salt and ground black pepper mix .
Well , to combine , this will be the filling for the manicotti noodles .
Measure a half cup of sauce from a 16 ounce jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce and pour the measured sauce into the bottom of an 11 by 17 inch baking dish .
You could also use homemade marinara instead .
Now add about three tablespoons of the cheese mixture into each cooled manicotti noodle .
We're using a pastry bag to make this job easier and a range over the sauce , pour the remaining spaghetti sauce over the top being sure to cover all the noodles so they don't dry out Sprinkle the top with another quarter cup or more of grated Parmesan cheese and bake in the preheated oven until cooked through and bubbling about 45 minutes .
