So you have the apple 10 , 10 S 10 S max , even the iphone 10 R and you have an issue where your Apple ID is grid out in the settings and you can't do nothing .
I'm gonna give you guys five solutions to get you up and running right now .
OK ?
So the first way is this , go ahead and open up your settings and then once you open up your settings , I'm gonna go ahead and scroll down to where it says screen time right here .
Tap on screen time and then we're gonna go ahead and scroll down to where it says content and privacy restrictions right here .
Tap on that .
Now , I just want you to scroll down near the bottom here and look for something called account changes .
Mine says don't allow , hey , that's probably the culprit .
Click on that .
Make sure that yours is on allow .
OK ?
If yours , if yours was on , don't allow , put it on allow and then just go back and then you should be up and running as you can see is no longer grayed out .
Now , the thing is if you had your , if you had yours on allow already .
We're gonna do this , ok ?
So we're gonna go back into the same area and go all the way down to account changes .
OK ?
So if yours was already on allow , what I want you to do is this , don't allow , allow , don't allow , allow , don't allow and then allow one more time .
Now go back and see if your apple ID is no longer gray out .
OK ?
Now , if it's still gray out , I want you to do this .
Now , we're going to go back to the same area again , go into uh screen time here , content and restrictions and then the same spot down here again , account changes .
Now it's , it's on allow .
Let's go ahead and put it on , don't allow .
Now .
Now let's go ahead and restart our phone , leave it just like this and let's go ahead and restart your phone .
You can uh press the uh volume down and power button to bring up the power off menu .
So I have it on .
Don't allow right now .
Let me turn off my phone once it's off .
Let me go ahead and turn it back on now and give it one second to boot back up here , ok ?
Once just booted back up , I want you to go ahead and go back in the same area again .
Let's go into your settings , gonna scroll down , go to screen time out , go back to content and privacy restrictions and now we're gonna scroll the way down and now where it says account changes , we left it on .
Don't allow before we restart the phone .
Now , let's put it on allow .
Now go back and your apple ID should be up and running .
If not , we're gonna go to the next step here .
OK ?
So the next step is to try this , OK ?
Go back into your settings here .
We're going to go back into the same area , go back to the screen time here , content and privacy restrictions .
And this time it says uh mice , you see mine is toggled on content and privacy restrictions , just turn that off and then go back and see if your apple ID is no longer gray out .
OK ?
Now , the thing is if it's still grayed out , you can go ahead and put the privacy restrictions back on .
If you wish , I'll go ahead and put mine back on .
So I just went exactly the way it was uh before I'll turn it back on .
OK ?
So if it's still great out , the next thing we can do is this , we can go ahead and force our um iphone here to restart .
How do you force it to restart ?
It's a three key combination .
We want to press the volume up , volume down and then press and hold power button and do not let go until we see the Apple logo .
So let's do it together ready , volume up , volume down , press and hold that power button .
Do not let go that power button until we see that Apple logo .
I'm still holding on .
I'm not going to let go .
We're only forcing this to restart .
We're not going to be losing any information .
I'm still holding on to the power button .
Apple ID should be coming up any second .
Now , there it is .
I can go ahead and let go the power button and now just wait for it , your phone to boot back up .
Once it boots back back up , go ahead and check , check in the settings to see if your I your apple ID is , uh , gray out or not .
Ok .
So if it's still grade out after you do this , uh , force restart , then we're gonna go to the next step .
Let me wait for the phone to boot back up and we'll proceed to the next step if it's still gray out .
Ok ?
So your apple ID is , uh , still grayed out .
If it is , then we're gonna go to the next step here .
Ok ?
We're gonna go ahead and go into settings .
What we're gonna do is we're gonna reset all settings .
So go to your settings and then we want to go down to General and then all the way down .
Second to the bottom says reset here , we're gonna go ahead and tap on reset and now the first one up here , it says reset all settings .
Let's go ahead and just tap on that and then you may have to put your password in as soon as I do that you can see down here , it says this will reset all settings and your Apple pay cards will be removed , no data or media will be deleted .
Ok ?
So we're just resetting the settings all of your settings .
So if you want to proceed , go ahead and tap on reset all settings and then tap here again .
And what's going to happen is going to reboot your phone .
Once your phones back up and running , go ahead and check your apple ID and hopefully you're back up and running .
If it's still gray , then the last solution I have for you is in the same area where we're at the reset right under your reset , all settings , it says erase all content and settings .
This is basically a factory reset .
So if you want to proceed with the uh reset , you can go ahead and erase .
Now if you have anything important on there , make sure you save it because uh like I said , you will lose your photos , your videos .
It'll be us if , if you bought the phone brand new and took it out of the box and you had to start off the very beginning of setting up your phone , you know , choosing your language , choosing your region , connecting to your wifi and all that .
OK ?
Anyways , if this uh solution uh work for you , let me know what that work for you and give me a thumbs up if it didn't work for you .
Give me a thumbs down .
All right , good luck guys .
Bye .
