How to Solve One Side on a Rubik's Cube + Bonus!

Hello , this is Mr Question Mark .

And today I'm gonna show you how to do one side , one full side on a Rubik's cube and how to shoot a rubber band like a gun .

You get this .

OK .

So first I'm gonna show you the river band thing which I learned from a friend .

Uh And what it's very simple , it's just , it's like you kind of make your gun sort of .

Well , 1st , 1st you hook it around your pinky , then make the gun , then hook it around your thumb first , uh you pull it out really far and then hook it around your thumb and then hook it around your index finger and then let go with your pinky and it flies .

OK .

So , uh now , now I'm gonna teach you how to do the Rubik's cube .

Now , this is actually not really a Rubik's cube .

It's an off brand sea with the white center thing .

It doesn't say Rubik's cube or anything on it uh right there .

So this is not a Rubik's cube technically and also sometimes it may get caught and sometimes it's hard to turn and stuff .

But um oh well , so I'm gonna mix it up real quick and I'm gonna teach you how to do the white side .

Um You can , you can use this with any color .

I just choose to do the white side just because .

So , uh so we have the white side here .

You find the white center or whatever color you want to do .

Let's say if you wanna do the orange side , you find the orange center and you just build around that .

So today we're gonna do the white side , um , and work around this .

So you're gonna wanna find the , all the white edge pieces that are on the sides of it , not the corner ones , all the edge ones that have two stickers on them , not these ones that are three .

Um So you wanna find all of those and put them there .

Now there's a few different areas that they can be in .

There's of course , next to that , which is good .

That's good .

They can be on the bottom and they can also be on the sides like this .

Uh If , if they're on the , so we're gonna say this is the top around here are the sides and this is the bottom .

So this top part that's good .

Now , on the side , on the side that there can be like uh two different kind of two different things .

Um They can be on the top or the bottom , which is one way to do it and they can also be on the sides of a side , if it's on the top , you're gonna wanna shift it to where it is on the side and then just follow it from the side on there .

And if it's on the side , you're gonna wanna turn it until this aligns that way with an empty space right there like that .

Not like this where there's a piece already there like that and then you just flip that up to there .

So then we have two .

Now , uh here , here's one that's just on the side already .

So we'll flip that up .

Now , there's some on the bottom as well .

That is very easy .

You just find an empty space on there , align it with that bottom piece and then just flip it like that .

It's very similar to the um , side one except that it's on the bottom and you can't see it as well and you have to flip more times .

So now , now when , when you get all those done , you have a cross , you have a plus sign sort of , and now you wanna get the corners and there's a few different ways to do that .

I'm gonna start with the easiest way and then I'm gonna work up to the hardest way .

Uh So the , the easiest way to do it .

Let me see .

Yes .

Uh Is this when it's on one of the sides and it's on the bottom of the side , it's not gonna be in the middle because that's gonna be one of the edge pieces .

So it can either be on the bottom or the top .

It doesn't matter which , which side it's on , it's just the bottom of the top .

And uh what , what you're gonna do for that is like , find out which one which edge piece it aligns up with and then you're gonna twist it away from that away from that , that way so that you turn this that way .

Now when you twist it away , let me get this back over here .

When , when you twist it away , don't twist it that way because then it's gonna move again , you're gonna twist it to where it doesn't move when you do that , when you do this .

So then you're gonna twist it back to where it was , that piece back to where it was and then that back to where it was .

Now you have one of your corners .

So now another scenario that you could have is this where it's on the top .

Last time we did a corner that's on one of these bottom ones .

Now we're gonna do one of these top ones right here .

So what that is , you need to get it to , to one of these bottom ones and then you can just go from there .

You so you twist it down to the bottom .

Now it's on the bottom and then you twist it away out here so that it's over there and you need to twist it up and this time you need to twist it away so that it does move when you push those back up to there .

Oops , that was not intended .

But , um , oh , well , so now it's down on the bottom and now you can twist it the way you need it to go and twist it into there .

Come on , this won't move .

I need to go it the other way .

OK .

So then last , oops , last way is on the bottom .

If it's on one of these bottom ones and that's the longest taking one .

But uh you , you , when you do it , you shift it like up to there one of the top ones .

So I'm gonna get one to the bottom real quick .

See if I can do this .

Uh Let's see here .

I don't know how I can get one to the bottom .

Uh I'm just gonna mix it up actually and do so that we can do a little bit of review and hopefully it'll be on the bottom .

So I have it mixed up .

Now .

There's a white that's on the top .

So we need to uh do that a little bit spit on the screen .

So we need to twist that over to the side so that we can twist it to the top .

That one's already on the side .

So that's good .

Uh That one's already on the side .

Good .

Twisted the other way .

Yes .

Uh Where's the other one .

There we go .

That's already on the side .

And remember if it's on the bottom like that , remember just twist it up to the top like it's a side piece but a little bit more .

So then the corners .

Oh man , there's not any on the bottom .

Can't get any of these on the bottom , these corner pieces .

Uh Let me see .

OK , I got one on the bottom .

Good .

So you have this , now there's that one on the bottom .

You remember , I taught you how to do the top and the bottom ones on the sides .

But now on the bottom of the bottom , so you need to get that , you find out which one it kind of aligns with and move it away from that so that when you twist this down just like basically act like act like that is up there , basically like that .

So twist it away like that and then do that and then do that .

Now it's up there , but you don't have to twist it up because you're just gonna keep it down there and then twist it away like it's there and then twist back up .

So now it's there and it's very easy from here .

You just twist that away down , back toward it and there you go .

So now now that you know how to do all of them , you can , everything , that's everything there is no other possibilities that , that it could do .

Um let me see .

So now it's up there .

So I need to twist this , it won't twist , twist backwards um and twist away like that so that I'll pop back up when I do this back up there and then I'll twist away , back to there and over to there and back up there .

Now I only have one more that's on the side there .

So that's very easy .

Let me see .

Yeah .

So I can twist it that way and then over there and then back across there and then there and you have a finished slide .

There you go .

And then what you can do , you shoot it , you shoot your Rubik's cube that's has a soft side with your rubber band and you can also get two rubber bands and do it , but it'll be a little bit harder but it will be cooler though .

Oops , I missed , I missed .

Um I , where , where I learned this , I learned the rubber band gun from a friend from my friend .

Um just a friend and I learned this thing from a guy on youtube .

And also he does a bunch of Rubik's Cube stuff .

He can solve an entire Rubik's cube in about 16.5 seconds , which is pretty awesome , in my opinion .
