Lock Down - 2 Ingredient Homemade Pasta Recipe Without Maida - How To Make Eggless Pasta At Home

Hey guys , I'm Nisha Homi and welcome back to my channel .

Today's lockdown special recipe is a pasta made with just two ingredients that is water and whole wheat flour also known as AA .

Now a couple of days back , I shared a homemade noodles recipe from scratch .

Again , that was also made with just two ingredients .

And many of you tried the recipe and sent me pictures and messages on Instagram , Facebook and on youtube .

So today's pasta recipe is completely eggless and just contains water and whole wheat flour .

So let's quickly dive into the recipe and I'm also sharing my way of making this pasta .

So make sure you watch the video till the very end .

So , into a bowl , I'm adding in one cup of whole wheat flour .

I'm using Copley wheat flour also known as Amer wheat .

The reason why I use Copley wheat in my recipes is that it has a very weak gluten molecule when compared to modern processed wheat .

However , you can use ordinary whole wheat flour in this recipe .

Next , I'm adding in 1/4 cup of water and I'm just mixing this up with my fingers .

Now I'm not adding any salt in this recipe .

Even in my two ingredient noodles recipe , many of you had asked why I do not add any salt .

Now , when you add salt , moisture will start releasing out .

So it's ideal to add salt into the boiling water , which you are using to cook the pasta or noodles .

And again , I'm adding in another 1/4 cup of water and I'm needing it into a dough .

So for one cup of , I used a half cup of water .

So now the alta is ready and the best part is you don't have to keep it to rest .

You can straight away , start making the pasta .

Now to roll out the dough .

I'm using my large cutting board .

You can also do this on a clean kitchen countertop .

So I'm just dusting little flour and likely needing it .

Now you need more flour to coat the uh dough so that it does not get sticked .

So I'm generously dusting flour on the cutting board and with a rolling pin , I'm gonna roll this as thinly as possible and make sure that you dust enough or beet flour on top as this will prevent it from sticking , just roll it out as cleanly as possible , the sides and the middle and make sure there is enough flour so that it does not get sticked .

So both the sides are nicely coated with the flour .

There are some tea here and there , but it doesn't matter .

And I'm just roiling it just like this and with a sharp knife , I'm gonna slice it .

So I have sliced into this size .

I'm sprinkling in some on top and I'm just mixing this all up .

Sprinkle more art when you dust with the flour , what happens is the moisture released will be absorbed .

So you will get nonsticky pasta .

You need to make sure that there is enough flour sprinkled on the pasta , just cooked with the whole wheat flour .

So this is the uh size which I prefer .

If you want thinner , you can do thinner .

See how easy it is to make pasta with just water and whole wheat flour .

And the best part is it's healthy .

There is no added preservatives , additives , fillers or any artificial flavors .

Just whole wheat flour and water .

Perfect healthy meal for Children or for the whole family to cook the pasta .

I'm boiling some water in my sauce pan .

I'm adding in pink himal and salt as needed while the water is getting boiled .

Let's make the pasta sauce .

So I have heated a wild pan and I'm adding in about 1.5 to 2 tablespoon virgin coconut oil .

You can use any wood pressed oil from the place you live in .

Try to avoid refined vegetable oil .

So once the oil is heated , I'm adding in 6 to 7 chopped garlic cloves and once the garlic turns gold and brown , I'm adding in one cold chopped onion give it to me .

So I prefer to brown the garlic like this as it will give a nice gary flavor to the pasta .

If you don't like too much of garlic flavor , you can reduce the garlic and you don't need to brown the garlic this much .

So this is a basic tomato pasta recipe .

Once the onion is transparent and is light pink color .

I'm adding in a little bit of pinch of turmeric powder .

Turmeric helps to boost your immunity .

Next , I'm adding in half tablespoon , Kashmiri chili powder .

Kashmiri chili powder has less heat .

But if you're using ordinary chili powder , use one teaspoon Kashmir chili powder also gives a nice color to the dish .

I don't have red chilies .

So that is the reason why I'm using Kashmiri chilies since we are in lockdown using whatever ingredients I have at hand right now to make this recipe add an half teaspoon black pepper powder .

This helps the turmeric absorb pasture into your body and also gives a nice flavor .

So I'm just gonna quickly mix this up .

And then I'm adding in two tomatoes which I have chopped , add in a little bit of water with him and salt as needed .

Give it a mix cover and let the tomatoes cook .

Meanwhile , the water is ready and I'm gonna add in the pasta .

So I'm adding in the pasta .

It will take about two minutes for the pasta to get cooked .

Now keep an eye on the pasta because once it starts to boil , it will overflow and spill out .

So once it starts boiling , reduce the flame to the lowest , let it cook for about two minutes .

Meanwhile , let's check on the tomato .

I'm gonna lightly mash the tomato with a spatula for flavor .

I'm using a handful of coriander leaves .

Usually I prefer to use dried thyme and rosemary to flavor my pasta .

But since we are in lockdown and are staying at home , there is no other option but to use coriander leaves .

If you have thyme or rosemary at hand , you can use that as well .

Give it a minute , adding half teaspoon of black pepper powder .

Give the to OK .

Now let's check out the pasta .

OK .

The pasta is cooked to give it a cheesy flavor .

I'm using my homemade vegan cheese mix .

So into the gravy I'm adding in one heat tablespoon of the vegan cheese mix .

I haven't shared the recipe for vegan cheese mix .

I will definitely try to share .

I have strained the pasta pasta .

It makes it better and my quick and easy healthy homemade pasta is ready to serve .

If you want more cheesy flavor , you can Sprinkle in another tablespoon of the vegan cheese mix .

Turn off the flame and enjoy this healthy pasta .
