Hey , Kim .

Well , we certainly have seen worse election days here in Metro Detroit .

It is chilly though .

46 in both Pontiac and in Mount Clemens low forties as you get up into the thumb , 52 at Metro and out in Ann Arbor , it's 15 degrees colder right now than it was at the same time yesterday in Pontiac and 17 degrees colder in Mount Clements .

We've definitely seen a shift in the wind direction and that has caused those temperatures to plummet this afternoon .

Otherwise , it's quiet though , we do have quite a few clouds , but other than that , it is , it will remain dry through tomorrow morning .

But then as we go throughout the day , tomorrow , scattered showers develop becoming heavier as we go through the evening and into the overnight hours and our high only makes it to 47 degrees .

We'll talk about when we warm up again and when we see the sunshine again in just a few minutes .

All right .

Sounds good , Kim .

We'll see you in just a little bit today .

Marks exactly one month since Hamas launched a deadly raid into Israel , setting off a devastating invasion into Gaza .

A moment of silence in Tel Aviv marked the milestone .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Hamas killed 1400 Israelis on October 7th and took more than 240 hostages .

Only a handful had been freed since then , families and friends are demanding their release and Israel's military continues to bomb .

Gaza is here with the very latest for us .

Kim .

Hi Chris .

Good afternoon to you .

Israel's Prime Minister says his country will take quote overall security responsibility in Gaza indefinitely after its war with Hamas .

But he seems to be bending on the idea of little pauses in the fighting .

Israel was trying to convince as many Palestinians as possible to leave the northern war zone and head south .

It's been sending messages through social media late this afternoon .

The Israeli military says it's already fighting in the depths of Gaza city .

It's searching for militants , destroying their tunnels and trying to rescue any hostages .

They might find Palestinians report running for their lives and waving white flags as they moved past Israeli tanks .

The United Nations says more than 1.5 million people have been displaced since the war began one month ago .

Among other concerns .

The Biden administration is trying to focus on what Gaza looks like in the future .

President maintains his position that reoccupation by Israeli forces is not the right thing to do .

We'll let them speak to their intentions , but we are definitely having conversations about what the post conflict environment ought to look like and what governance in Gaza ought to look like .

One thing there's absolutely no daylight on is Hamas can't be part of that equation .

You can't go back to October 6th .

Now Israel's Prime Minister says those so called little pauses might allow more aid into Gaza and the release of course , of more hostages .

But Benjamin Netanyahu is running out of any running ruling .

I should say out any cease fire without the release of all of the hostages for the invasion continues to move forward with no real diplomatic progress to report .

So Christie , we'll send it back to you .

All right .

Thanks so much , Kimberly .

Well , today in Britain King Charles the third opened parliament for the first time since taking over as monarch , go ahead and take a look at the pump and pageantry .

As the king traveled from Buckingham Palace to parliament in a grand carriage procession , the king delivers the agenda of the current ruling party .

Now , in this case , Prime Minister Rishi Soak is pushing plans to tackle crime , boost growth and reduce the burden of climate change .

This tradition dates back to the 16th century .

All Right .
