For a long time , I was never on the chicken and waffles train .
But a few months ago , I was visiting LA for the first time and my homie suggested that we hit up Roscoe's chicken and waffles .
And it was then I boarded the chicken and waffles train and I decided to make it at home myself .
Now I didn't felt the need to do any research on their recipe because I felt like this would be pretty straightforward .
We just have to make sure the chicken is very nice and lightly coated and crispy after we fry it .
So I figured the Chinese fried chicken takeout method will be perfect whether you do cornstarch and eggs , seasons of course , and then you add flour in before you fry .
Salt , baking powder , sugar .
Now just whisk that thing up .
Melted butter .
You know why .
Vanilla extract .
A large egg .
Milk .
Now Roscoe's waffles are a lot thinner than the waffles I made .
It all depends on the waffle maker that you are using .
But I like them thick or thin .
Uncle Cho's and don't discriminate , baby .
Also at one point , I never understood why people put syrup on their fried chicken wings when they're eating chicken and waffles .
But now I know baby .
This recipe does fall under the big bac activities category .
Just try and eat responsibly baby and all you gotta do is eat baby .
Very nice .
