This is Jono Santos NATO for piano groove .
And I'm on this lesson , we're gonna show how to create a very simple Bosa Nova samba groove talking about 25 ones .
So I'm gonna use very simple chords to let you understand how that feels .
So , for instance , let's uh pick a key of uh G major .
OK ?
And I'm gonna do uh 251 will be a , a minor and then ad seven and then the major .
So I'm just doing 3rd and 7th .
OK ?
And with these three notes , I can set up a groove , aim add in the fifth .
That's a simple pattern .
You see how I'm accenting my left hand slightly every second beat as in here , here , back to the groove .
Sometimes it can be a flip .
Now , if I'm gonna add some more notes to those squirts , I'm gonna play a little bit to the five court I met in a flat night .
So instead of playing , they scored them playing another thing I could do with the five is to , to flatten the six .
So they have .
So now I'm playing the one chord as what we know is a , as a 69 chord , it doesn't have a third , it doesn't have 1/7 .
But this is a chord that you find in a lot of guitar accompaniments we have this , that adds a lot of what's known as a Brazilian sound to that .
The 6/9 chord can also be inverted .
So , but this representation of it , in any case , it sounds really good .
So it can't go over .
It's a very good chord to have because it's one of the chords that's used a lot of popular music .
It does not commit to a third to 1/7 but it does indicate a major chord .
It's uh it's actually not correctly called 69 because to have a nine , you would have to have 1/7 .
But in this case , it could be actually more a 26 chord .
And uh now if we had a , a six chord to create that uh 2516 progression , there would be like 27th .
This case name is a flat nine , but you could also use a 13 or , or , or , or even so how many variations of that uh that seven dominant 76 court we could have in the FG major .
I'll play this again for you .
Changing the inversion .
So you can see how that sounds different in different regions of the instrument .
