video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Hey guys , my name is Miles Mansel .

This is me matching my face to my fingers .

My first time coming on my channel , uh live at you .

We're gonna be learning how to play .

Don't stop me today .

Uh But before we do that , I wanted to tell you a little bit about um my new song release , it's called Reflections .

I've been working on it for probably since the summer .

It's been a while .

Uh It's eight minutes long , bit of a bit of a long song .

I do have to say , but I was hoping that you guys as part of the music community would give it a listen .

Um It's free on Spotify .

Uh There's a link to that here , but the best thing you can do to support my efforts in this channel in general would be to purchase a copy on itunes or CD Baby .

All right .

So the first thing you need to know is about the left hand actually know the rhythm .

The rhythm is generally like this .

It's a rocking pattern , pretty straightforward .

One and 23 and four .

Just get that feel down one and two and three and four , at least for the intro .

And then things speed up .

Uh So just remember that it's good to have in the back of your mind in your right hand , you're gonna start off on an F that's AC F roll into it and then a ate , then you reach down to the low F to finish that Arpeggio .

I really love that word .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

After you do that , you are going to aid the A minor in a similar fashion but not too similar .

It's a little different roll into an A minor .

A ce and then hit a ce a , a modern version .

So move up to the D minor and origi that bad boy .

Except you're just playing ad and an F and that's an fa and ad pure D minor .

Encor uh Incursion Inversion .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

We'll go through that roll into it a little bit different .

That sounds pretty good , doesn't it in the left hand at this point ?

You're just playing plain old uh octaves on an F then move up to an A went to the deep , right .

OK .

That's G , right .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Do do all right .

So for that next section , what you're playing in the right hand is a little bit different than what we've been doing .

You go to the G minor .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

So B flat D and a G , the basic idea is you go between the G minor in an f suspended second which is an AC and G , but fill it out a little bit , just make sure you get the chords in there and then play some notes from the Arpeggio in there and we move to AC , that's GC and E , what I generally play is and GC , then you go to the G minus seven .

See , we've added that F and then maybe hit the G , go back to AC .

Except you add that G on top .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

During this time , you're playing a rocking pattern in the left hand , right , put it all together and we get this , I'll play it very slowly .

After you finish that , we go back and we play the F again and a pet .

So now we go to an F Me seven .

OK .

So that's um the AC and an E flat .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

You're moving to the B flat uh in your right hand .

That's an F B flat .

And then D good old bee flat octave in the left hand .

You're moving up the octave to the beef flow once again and all that is , is a B flat .

Except you replace the D with an E flat , which makes it A B spend a fourth .

Yep .

That's what it is .

Tap that beef on the left hand and hit that B flat again .

Then you're going to that G minor seven lay Octa in the left hand .

You know , you're just playing around with the Arpeggio .

But get that rhythm down at this point .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

We're moving to the D major seven and D in the left hand , an octave G flat to today , maintaining the C and the D lower at this point .

We go to stop in your right hand .

That's a G minor .

D GP flat .

Don't down to the F , stop C fa me ce G now , G minor again .

GB flat and D , but you hit it and B flat .

G hygiene .

OK .

Be flat .

Very important .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Why is it important ?

Well , it sounds good , you know , then you do it again in your left hand , you're just playing the roots of the chords .

It starts on a G .

Don't stop to the f to the C .

Mean down to the G .

Don't stop me because I'm having a good time having a good and it gets real funky kind of because I'm , that's a G minor .

Have been , uh , you're kind of matching the melody or that's exactly what you're doing .

GB D have been good kind of throwing the F in there .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Um , that's an A and ac good time and go back to the G minor .

Um Yeah .

So just keep up with that melody .

You're moving to the sea .

Yeah .

Uh GC G minus seven does GB flat D and F and , and on the CG ce and then a IG have it .

I , so in your left hand you just start hitting the keys on both your down and your upbeats .

And that's kind of the beat we're gonna maintain for the rest of the song in the left hand .

So when it picks up , just know that that's the beat .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Now , we're going back to our intro cords except we're playing it with this new upbeat beat did in your left hand .

Just remember we're playing the same notes that we were playing earlier .

F Yeah , GC or just with their new rhythm .

And in your right hand , you start on the F , just try to get the rhythm down and you can play whatever notes you want within the F chord .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Your options are AC and F from the F , you move to the A minor , of course , to the D minor , right ?

Play it however you want , just get that general beat down , you know , have fun with it .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

But after you do that bit , playing the same progression that we did in the intro just sped up , you know , between the G minor and the F uh suspended second to see uh G minus seven back to the scene .

Now we go back to F to the F major seven like we did in the intro .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

I'm telling you all these cords are the same , put that rhythm down or B flat the GM seven .

But this time we go to ad major seven , same rhythm as before , back to the G minus seven , back to the G major seven , back to the G minor seven .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

So octave in your left hand , single note in your right hand .

Hey , be flat .

C right , then you're playing an octave in your right hand song .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Now we go to the chorus starts on an f of course , like everything else in this song , it's an F octave in your left hand and then ac F in your right hand , stop .

That's moving up to a G minor stop .

B flat DG .

Stop to the A minor A octave ce a slam on that demon stop .

Right .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

So when you hit the D , go to the rocking pattern , don't stop , then go to a G minor seven and then notice that pretty much every time we go to the G minus seven , it's followed by AC T minus seven C add-on maintaining that rocking pattern .

Can we do it again ?

Don't stop me this time .

Go to the D major seven D in the left hand .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

We do our , don't stop me .

Now , progression that we did earlier , you know .

So this time in your left hand , you are playing Staccato .

Don't stop .

Stop .

Now , we're pretty much just on the G .

Now go to AC seven GB flat C and E Rocky in your left .

Yeah .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Now , if you wanted to go back into the second verse , you come down to a , um , a flat playing 16th notes right here and in your right hand , you're playing a G flat , a B flat and an E flat before going into the next verse .

Gather that bit sounds like this C seven back into the verse .

Now , if you want to end the song , uh , you play the same chord here , which is a , well , we'll call an , a flat suspended second , um be slowed down and then you go back to the intro , right ?

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

And Freddie Mercury is kinda wailing along to it , something like that except he sounds way better than I do so altogether .

The chore sounds like this slow down or either way the next court is definitely an f just depends on where you're going or to the end of the song .

That sounds terrible .

Thank you guys for watching .

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

I hope you learned something and I also hope that you gave my song a listen .

I'm really wanting people to hear it .

I put a lot of work into it and just know that I'll continue making piano tutorials .

It is Christmas break for me right now .

So I'm going to be taking a little furlough from making videos for about two weeks .

But , you know , with my chaotic schedule , I've been releasing videos only every two weeks anyway .

So it won't really affect you guys at all .

But thanks for watching once again , send me some song suggestions .

I'm definitely open to that and I'd love to hear what you have to say .

All right , have a good Christmas .

You guys , Merry Christmas , happy holidays , um , whatever it is you're celebrating this time of the year .

And thank you .

All right .

Bye bye .
