The weather is heating up , so we're gonna cool it down with three iced coffee drinks .
That'll keep you energized and refreshed all summer long .
A strong iced coffee at your fingertips is one of the most satisfying moments on a hot day .
Couple that with a sweet cold foam on top and you have the perfect drink .
We're going to make a Manilla sweet cream , cold bre .
I'll start by making the cold brew .
I like making this overnight so that the coffee brews while I'm sleeping , I'm going to grind up 1.5 cups of coarsely ground coffee beans .
I'm just using a dark roast here because I really like the flavor of it .
But try to stick to something a little more medium to dark because it just feels more robust than the cold brew .
Pour it into a jar with six cups , water .
You can adjust the strength of coffee as you prefer , but cool brew is not only more concentrated , it tends to be less acidic than regular brewed coffee .
I also find it to be really smooth and slightly sweet , making it super refreshing .
So once you pour in the water just go ahead and take a spoon and press the coffee grounds down .
So it's fully hydrated .
So I make a big jug like this for the weekend and enjoy as needed weekends tend to be packed for us .
So extra coffee is always welcome .
I brew this in the fridge for 12 hours and then whenever we're ready to enjoy it , just plunge it down and strain it into a cup and enjoy this cold brew is good .
But let's take it to the next level and we're going to add some vanilla sweet foam on top .
Sweet cream or cold foam is just a creamy frothy milk that's poured on top of cold brew or an iced drink .
You guys have probably guessed I'm making Starbucks vanilla sweet cream , cold brew .
Ok .
So I have half a cup of half and half here .
It's just an even mixture of half cream and half milk and we'll just mix it with a sprinkling of sugar and a squeeze of vanilla bean paste to really enhance that vanilla flavor .
And then with my milk frothing one , I'll just it up .
If you don't have one , you can just use this mason jar right here .
Put a lid on it and shake it up vigorously until you get tiny bubbles .
But I find this to be easier .
Pour it right on top of the cold group and we have a delicious coffee treat that will last us through the whole day .
Those warm summer .
Memories of sitting by the fire with friends roasting sweet marshmallows and making those chocolatey goose sms can last forever with this s Morris frappuccino .
So let's first pull our espresso shot .
I'm just using an espresso pod here .
But you can use whatever coffee tool you have , whether it's a Vietnamese coffee filter , a mocha pot , whatever works best for you .
So once we have our espresso shot , let's blend everything together .
I filled my blender cup with ice already .
And then I'm gonna add some marshmallow fluff that you can find at whole foods here .
And this is like a healthier kind without all the additives , condensed milk .
This helps to thicken and sweeten it up .
Two teaspoons of cocoa powder , half of a gram cracker to give it that nutty grammy taste milk .
Our espresso and let's give it a whirl .
This frappuccino is a creamy consistency .
It's not too icy , which is what we want .
Now to dress the cup .
I like to drizzle in a little bit of chocolate syrup on the sides of the cup , just twirling it and then adding a dollop of that marshmallow cream or marshmallow fluff at the bottom .
So it mixes with the frappuccino beautifully with every sip .
Now we'll pour in our frappuccino and top it with some whipped cream .
And then depending on how decadent you want this , you can add another drizzle of chocolate syrup and another sprinkling of graham cracker crumbs .
Huh ?
You get a little bit of the marshmallow cream in there with the chocolatey nuttiness of a SMS .
Oh , my gosh .
This is summer and a cup .
Nothing is more popular than the iced caramel .
Macchiato at Starbucks .
The sweet creamy caramel sauce with an ice cooled milky coffee .
It's their best selling drink .
It's really , it's their number one drink in the summer .
I'm boiling a quarter cup of sugar and then a quarter cup of water with a teaspoon of vanilla extract .
So I have enough for a few days .
I'll simmer it in a pan just until it starts to bubble .
And then I'll just pour it into my jar and let it cool a vanilla simple syrup .
Now we're gonna add some at the bottom of our cup , fill it with ice , top it with milk , add in our shot of espresso .
Another drizzle of caramel rot on top .
Stir it up and this is how simple it is to make the caramel macchiato , save those $5 and make it yourself .
This is really good .
So put out that tip jar because you are going to be the resident barista this summer and I just saved you a bunch of money .
