5 Ingredient Protein Pancakes _ Healthy Meal Plans

Hi , lovelies .

So with a new baby in the household , I have to tell you , I am always on the hunt for easy recipes that pack a really nutritious punch .

And I think these protein pancakes do just that .

So I'm so excited to share them with you today .

The base for these pancakes is just five ingredients .

The whole batter comes together in a blender and they fry up in no time .

The best part is you could actually make a whole stack of them ahead of time , store them in the fridge and then have them on hand for a little breakfast on the go .

Did I mention the fact that they also happen to taste actually delicious ?

Which I'll be honest , not all protein pancakes do .

Now , without further ado , let's get to some protein pancakes .

First up , we are going to make our classic protein pancakes .

I'm going to show you the base ingredients for these and then the cool part is they can really be dolled up .

However you want for my first ingredient , I'm going to be adding my eggs to my blender .

I'm using four eggs in this recipe .

It's really important to note that this recipe can be halved really easily .

So if you're only making pancakes for one , you can totally split it in half easy breezy to that .

I am going to add a banana .

This gives everything a little more body and some flavor as well .

Obviously , the riper your banana , the sweeter , your protein pancakes are going to be , I'm also going to be adding some oats to this .

Now , you may not be aware of this , but oats are actually a great source of protein as well as a great source of fiber Next , we are going to add our protein powder .

Now I'm using vanilla flavored protein powder in this recipe .

I get asked a lot about what kind of the protein powder I use .

The fact of the matter is I actually just use the stuff that's on sale because protein powder can be quite expensive .

I'm also going to add some baking powder to this .

So we get a nice lift , some nice fluffy pancakes and it's that simple .

We'll give this a good blend and then we can get this to the stu Now I'm making this in a nice non stick skillet .

I just greased it up a little bit .

I'm making full size pancakes here , but you could also do this as mini pancakes .

That'd be adorable and super easy to eat on the go .

We'll just cook our pancakes over medium low heat because we don't want to burn them for about 3 to 4 minutes on one side and then you can flip them over and cook them for another 1 to 2 minutes on the second side .

And it's as simple as that .

How great are these ?

I like serving these classic style with a little bit of butter and maple syrup , but of course , you can use the toppings of your choice and because they're a little sweet just as they are , you can actually eat them with no toppings at all and they're still really yummy .

Now , while the classic version of these pancakes is delicious .

I like amping things up a little .

So I'm going to show you how to make some lemon blueberry pancakes really , really easy using the very same base ingredients .

So we've got our eggs headed into our blender once again to that .

I'm adding our banana oats , vanilla protein powder and some baking powder .

But I'm also going to add the zest of a lemon to this nice and fresh and citrusy and of course perfectly complemented with blueberries .

We'll blend our batter up in our blender as we did before .

Smells like a burst of lemon .

So yummy and then when it comes time to make our pancakes , we are going to top each one with a whole heaping handful of fresh blueberries .

Don't be shy .

We love blueberries around these parts .

You're looking for about three minutes on your first side until it's nice and golden brown and flipping .

You can't be afraid you have to just go for it .

You have to really embrace the fear .

I love serving these up with a little bit of vanilla flavored Greek yogurt .

But maple syrup could also work here totally up to you .

Now , that is a stack of pancakes .

You get these nice juicy , sweet flavorful blueberries in every bite .

I have to say the berries in these pancakes really blew us away .

Finally , guys , I am making some chocolate protein pancakes just as easy as the others except this time instead of vanilla protein powder .

We are going to use chocolate protein powder in this recipe .

If you don't have chocolate protein powder , only vanilla , you could always go ahead and add a little bit of cocoa powder instead to the traditional recipe .

And then you'd still get your chocolate flavor .

If you wanted to make a really tasty variation on this , you could also add some peanut butter to your blender and make some chocolate peanut butter protein pancakes , which would be totally delicious .

And then I like serving these up with some sliced strawberries because of course , chocolate strawberries were just meant to be together .
