How To Make This Elegant Coffee Filter Rose QUICK

Hello Margot .

Here I am gonna make a rose out of a coffee filter , another coffee filter , rose .

I really love making these things .

So you take your coffee filter and you are going to be folding it in half and I'm gonna use nine .

I may use more .

You're gonna fold it in half and then you're gonna fold it in half again and then you're gonna fold it in half again and you're gonna do seven of them like this and then you're gonna do two of them .

You're gonna fold in half , same concept , hold it in half again and then you're gonna fold it in thirds just like that .

So I'm gonna fold these and I will be right back .

I have two of my coffee filters folded in thirds .

These are gonna be my middle and I just put them together and I'm gonna cut a pedal shape out of them .

Just go around just like that kind of like an ice cream cone petal shape .

And then I'm gonna open it up and I'm going to cut this in half .

So I have two of these , I'll do the same thing with this .

One at this in half .

And then I have seven of these .

They are folded in half in half again and then in half .

And I'm gonna cut pedal shapes .

Also , I'll use the first one to make my ice cream cone shaped petals and I'll just keep going around and cutting adults .

And after I get done cutting these into petal shapes , they're stuck together right here .

So on the fold , I am gonna cut them into little hearts .

So I have seven of these and I have um two of these coffee filters folded .

Then I took a floral stick , a wire and just made a little hook on it .

And I'm gonna fold these up about an inch or a half an inch and then half an inch again , all these , half an inch , half an inch , just fold them up real fast .

And I'm gonna take this one like this .

I'm gonna stick in here into the right in the middle .

I'm gonna stick my coffee filter in here .

I'm gonna fold it up like this and I just wanna hold , it was some glue .

Yeah , I'm gonna fold this a couple of times in and this sin a couple of times .

This is gonna be my center , my center pedals .

I'm using my hot glue gun .

I'm using a low temperature glue gun .

This one doesn't burn me , but some of them they burn really bad .

So if you wanna use just glue , you can use just glue .

So this is your center and then you're gonna take , I kind of pulled this over , fold it over and glue , it just put a little dab of glue in there just to hold it and then glue all on the edge .

Then I'm gonna kind of take where I left off right here and put that right in the middle and I wanna keep my petals on top , kind of even fold it around just like a rose rose .

You kind of want to start it and kind of layer them in just like the rose grows kind of .

So I wanna make a fold right here again and glue it and then put some more glue right there along the edge .

And then I'm gonna start this one right here .

Make sure my tops are even , I don't want them real long and I don't want them real short .

Be careful when you're overlapping this that this gets right and then I wanna squeeze this and nice .

These are so cute when they're done .

I love them and you can see it's starting to look like a rose and then I have all of my petals here and I'm gonna fold them up just about a half an inch and I'm gonna start putting my pedals on paying attention to my length .

Now , I stopped right here .

So my next one I want to go the other way and I might not need all these pedals .

It just depends on how full I want it .

They're pretty easy .

I mean , you could just make a bud if you want .

Oh , yeah .

Yay .

OK .

This one goes right here .

I don't know one another .

No .

So you got it lined up on the top and fold it around and it's starting to look like a rose .

You could even kind of cut your tips , make a little template and cut your tips to where you have uh little tips on the end of the petals and then you could take and curl those ends with a doll or a pin that would look really cute .

Just keep going around .

I'm gonna make a dozen of these and put in a vase .

I want them to be in a tight fitting base .

So it's gonna be a color base .

So I don't care too much about this end piece , but I might take some coffee filter and just paint it green for my stem and wrap it around the bottom .

I'm putting some of these on real loose .

So they're just kind of fanning out like a rose would fan out .

So it's not real tight .

You could do it tighter if you just want to stop at a bud .

But I'm kind of trying to each one right after the other one .

It's turning out very cute .

I love it .

And it's , they're , these are pretty fast .

They're a good craft to have for kids , but maybe not the glue gun .

Just try some regular glue and they just have to hold it a little bit longer .

But I think it makes them really cute roses for Mother's Day , for Mother's Day here in the near future .

So you can see it's really turning out very , very cute .

And if you any of them start falling off and just add a little bit more glue to it , I'm putting these on very , very loose .

So it's , they're really fanning out .

I think I've already said that once .

So garden petals , I didn't even look on that one that they're so easy to make .

Just put them on there .

Oh , yeah .

One more .

So it's nine coffee filters .

So a package is , I got a package of 200 coffee filters .

So imagine how many roses you could make with 200 coffee filters .

So there is my rose and you could take and go through here and sit there and curl all your edges that they , they'd be absolutely beautiful .

So that is my rose out of coffee filters .

Very easy .

Very fun .

And you saw it didn't take me that long to make .
