OK , I'm gonna show you how to make the perfect pancake .
I'm serving mine with a nice cinnamon apple filling , but you can have them exactly as you know and exactly as you like .
So I've just turned my frying pan on to get nice and hot , and now we just need to make the batter .
So hopefully you've got your cup of flour and it's just nice and easy , this 11 cup of flour , one egg and one cup of milk .
So pop the flour into the bowl and then we'll crack in the egg .
Try not to get any shell in it because you don't want er crunchy pancakes .
OK , and now it's just a cup of milk , exactly the same level as has you had the the flour put Just pour half of the milk in , and then we can start whisking .
So just using a a hand whisk , bringing it all together .
Yeah , nice , thick batter , and what we'll do is we'll use the remainder of the milk just to loosen it .
So now really get going with it just to get out the lumps and we can add in the rest of the milk you go and then whisk that in .
And that should really loosen it and give you that really lovely nice thin pancake mix .
OK , they doesn't even come on the , uh the whisk anymore .
It's nice and runny , so we need to go to the hob and add a little bit of butter and we can get ready to start cooking .
And the thing with the butter is you just want to add just a little knob of butter and then try and swirl it around the pan .
I'm gonna turn the heat off the pan Now swirl it around the pan cos what we want to be doing here is just coating the pan in butter .
But you don't want it to be enough butter that you you we're not frying the pancakes .
So I'm just swirling it around the pan just to get the pan nicely coated in that lovely butter .
Here we go and they're nice and simple .
Using a ladle , you just bring over the batter .
One ladle spoon per pancake straight into the pan , and I can pop the heat back on , and they just swirled the batter around the pan .
And it should be starting to set already .
OK , and then we just need to leave this just for a little while .
I'm just gonna turn the heat down on my my apples .
There we go .
See the pancakes just starting to cook on the lower side .
You'll know when it's , um , when it's done , because they'll start .
It'll start to come away from the edges .
We're almost there now just to start to come to come away from the edges .
And then it'll be time to flip .
So the important thing to to remember when trying to flip a pancake it at first with your , um , knife or however you want to do it , just ease it away from the edges to start with .
Just to check that , it's not gonna stay right .
So the moment of truth , just nice and gently flip it nice and high , and it's just about worked , and then you can just rearrange it if it doesn't quite land properly .
So there you go .
That's just nice and golden on , um , on one side , and all we need to do now is just cook out the other side , and then that'll be it done .
See , the apples are cooking away nicely .
Just don't really need to do anything with them , just letting them stew down .
Just the The reason why we use the the Bramley apple is because when they cook , they'll retain more of its shape .
If you use just a regular normal apple , it would just turn to complete mush .
And we wouldn't want that .
I'm just gonna bring in my plate to pop this on and turn the heat off .
I'm not gonna try and flip this onto the plate , so just let's see you see the other side .
See , that's the other side , nicely done , and then just need to repeat the process , add a little bit more butter into the pan , um , and then serve them and enjoy them however you like .
