Hello , everyone and welcome to another business idea at for those of you that are wanting to start your own business at home , making cold brew coffee .
I have the recipes for you and for those that have already started their own coffee at home business using the instant coffee that I have shown you in previous video .
Then you can upgrade your coffee drinks using cold brew coffee , cold brewed coffee .
Why cold brew coffee ?
It is easier to make .
You don't need so many gadgets .
You can use a regular French press or even just a jar to make your cold brewed coffee .
Now , when you make cold brewed coffee , there are a few things that you have to consider .
Number one is you have to decide the coffee that you are going to use .
Are you going to use the premium Arabica coffee or the less premium Robusta coffee which tends to be harsher and stronger or are you going to use a blend of Arabica and Robusta ?
The quality of your coffee drinks will depend on the quality of the coffee that you use .
Next .
You have to decide whether you are going to use coffee beans that you need a grinder to grind just before you cold brew your coffee or you buy them in ready made coarse ground coffee .
Now , in terms of price , usually buying them in coffee beans would be more expensive than buying them in ready made coarse ground coffee .
The advantage of you saying coffee beans is that your coffee , your results in coffee will be better in aroma .
I'm not saying it's better in taste but better in aroma because it is freshly ground .
Whereas your coarse ground coffee would have been ground for over a certain period of time .
If you would like to use coffee beans and you do not have a grinder , you may ask wherever you buy it from to grind them for , you just make sure you tell them you would like coarse ground coffee for a cold brew .
And if you still don't want to do that and you want to grind it yourself without a coffee grinder , you may also use a blender , just make sure you don't blend it too fine , just a few seconds and you should get a coarse ground coffee .
The third thing that you have to note it's a coffee to water ratio and finally retention period .
You can keep your cold brewed coffee up to two weeks in the refrigerator .
So you may take it out any time you feel like having a latte , a caramel macchiato or even an Americano .
So that's very , very convenient to use in terms of pricing your cold brewed coffee .
You will note that it is typically more expensive to buy cold brewed coffee than regular espresso brewed coffee .
If you go to Starbucks or any premium coffee shops , you will note that this is the case .
You can ask for a premium price when selling bottled cold brewed coffee , just make sure you make a delicious smashing coffee drink and that is what I am going to show you today .
Now , before I start showing you how to make the coffee drinks , I'll take you back to how I did my cold brewed coffee yesterday .
So I'll see you again later .
I am going to use the concentrated formula , meaning the recipe is going to be one to 10 for this brewing process .
I'm going to use the French press .
So for those of you that have not yet seen my video tutorial on how to use the French press , the brewing proportion , the brewing time , the brewing method , whether it's cold brew or hot brew .
Do check that video out .
So I have here my coffee beans which is a combination of robusta and Arabia .
I chose this blend because I would like my coffee to be strong .
So 100 g of coffee for one liter of water into the French bread for French breast , you need coarse ground because it is using the infusion method .
So I'm going to use my grinder here .
I'm just going to change the setting to be coarse ground .
OK ?
And I'm going to put my 100 g of coffee in the grinder .
Now I'm going to put water into that .
So one liter of water , one liter is out there .
You may give it a bit of a stir and then do not push the plunger just yet , just about a little bit down .
And then we are going to put this in the refrigerator to sleep and cold brew for at least 12 hours .
I now have my cold brew coffee here and it's time to push the plunger down .
So , ok .
Now , although there is a filter here , I would tend to filter it again using my tea stock and then pour it over .
Let's just find the opening here .
Ok ?
And then filter it once again to make sure all the cop bits are taken out .
You just let it drip for a bit .
I am going to measure how much the resulting coffee is .
The resulting coffee concentrate from one liter is only 650 mil .
That means the coffee to water ratio is really quite high .
No wonder cold brewed coffee is more expensive than regular espresso brewed coffee .
Mm This one smells really good because it's still freshly ground coffee for the drinks that I am going to show you .
I am going to show three different types .
One is Americano a latte and a we are going to make 300 mil drinks , the ingredients that we need are we need my , do not skip on this one .
This is a company Foundation of Sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk .
I wouldn't recommend you change the evaporated milk to fresh milk because we are going to use a lot of fresh milk for the drinks .
Evaporated milk just gives it a little bit more richer flavor .
And because we are going to use , we are going to make , I am also going to use liquid chocolate .
We are going to use my homemade sugar syrup .
This is for Americano .
This is a coffee concentrate .
So you don't drink it straight up like this .
I am going to show you a very simple recipe .
Very easy to remember .
So that if you make a different size of bottle , so you make 350 mil or 400 or 405 100 you can easily adjust the recipe .
I am going to use a recipe which makes half and half 50 50 50% coffee , 50% other liquid .
If you haven't yet gotten yourself one of this delightful looking shot glass , double shot glass from chow .
Please get yourself one .
Let's get started with the first drink which is Americano .
So 150 mil of coffee , that's half the copy .
And then we are going to make another five ounces of other liquid because this is commercial .
I would like to use one ounce .
This might be a little bit too much for some of you , but this can be adjusted according to your preference .
I'm going to put one ounce of my simple golden sugar syrup into the mix .
That's now six .
I just need to make this up to 10 .
So I'm going to add four more ounces of just plain water into this mix .
So that's two and two more .
That's two more .
And you have your Americano , let's make the second drink , which is latte for latte .
I am also going to use the same proportion , have coffee and have other ingredients .
So for this , let's do it again .
Let's put 150 mil of coffee concentrate into our drink and I am going to use one ounce of my milk syrup when I was there and to make it into 10 ounces or 300 mil to fill up our bottle .
I am going to put four ounces of fresh milk .
Finally , we are going to make mocha .
So for moca , I am going to get another measuring cup 150 mil of coffee , coffee concentrate there and because usually people that like to drink mocha like it's a little bit sweeter .
So I am going to put one ounce of my chocolate sauce .
I do have a pump but um I've taken it out .
So I'm going to use this to measure .
So that's one ounce of chocolate and just have an ounce of the milky .
This is just to get a richer text .
So there you go .
So half an hour and that means I am already 6.5 there .
So I need to put 3.5 ounces of fresh milk .
So two ounces of fresh milk and another 1.5 ounces of fresh milk .
There you go .
Now , that's a beautiful color .
I like that color .
Three cold brew coffee drinks .
Now , let's give each one a try .
Well , usually before you bottle them , you must make sure you try your drinks be so that you know whether it's got the taste that you are looking for .
Let's start with our Americano .
You can give it a bit of a shake .
This is ready to drink , meaning you sell it chill .
You don't need to add ice into the drink if it's a concentrated drink where you want ice added into it .
It's another recipe which I can show maybe in another video .
Let me try this Americana .
Mm .
That is smashing .
There is no bitterness at all and it taste perfect .
Actually .
What can I say ?
It's a , it's a really , really refreshing Americana or the latte again , you can give it a bit of a shake so it tastes like a shake .
Let's give it a try .
Hm .
The flavor is there .
I can taste the coffee .
They have to taste the coffee really , really strong coffee .
And also there is the aroma that is retained even though it was cold brewed overnight and the color is just perfect for me .
Not too pale , not too dark , just like a latte .
So I like this one too .
Finally , the mocha , this one I need to give it a bit more shaking because I would like the chocolate to blend bigger coffee and the milk .
There you go and give it a try .
Never fails to amaze me and being cold brewed coffee , it makes it taste a lot smoother less acidity .
And that is probably why it is one of the reasons that cold brew coffee are gaining more popularity , especially among the younger generation .
You can bulk brew your coffee drinks .
You don't need to do it per bottle .
You can make a bulk of Americano , a bulk of latte mocha or Caramel mac .
The proportion should just be as for the recipe that I've shown you today in terms of costing one bottle of American .
The coffee cost is about I am going to use Philippine Pesos .
It is about 25 pesos for the coffee alone for this one .
It probably will not cost any more than 30 pesos for one bottle .
Remember this is premium so you can sell it at a premium price .
So latte my costing here would be about 40 pesos per bottle including the bottle .
Now , the cost of the bottle might be more or less depending on the design that you choose for the moca will be slightly more expensive because we added chocolate , chocolate sauce into this , but it will be around about 40 pesos per bottle premium price that you can charge for this cold brewed coffee , depending on the quality of coffee that you use to brew .
That's all I have today .
I wish you all the best in your coffee business and please do share your journey with me .
I'll see you again in my next video tutorial in the meantime , stay safe .
Thank you for watching and for now .
