Today's video .
I'm gonna be talking about how I lost £25 in two months earlier .
This year .
This year has been freaking amazing for me , weight loss wise , fitness wise and just overall how I feel .
So I definitely want to share my tips and advice with you guys on that .
I never made a video in the past were remotely related to this subject before because I was just so lost fitness wise .
I was also watching a lot of these weight loss videos on youtube , what to do , how to stay fit , how to stay healthy because I was always working out my whole entire , I got really into going to the gym and lifting weights four or five years ago .
I was a competitive swimmer and a dancer my whole life .
So I was always healthy and fit , but you just could not see that on my body and I was like 25 to £30 more than I should have been .
So I was watching a lot of youtubers videos sharing what worked for them .
But whenever I tried anything , it would not work me whatsoever .
So I finally just came up with my own method this past year .
It's worked out beautifully .
So I'm so excited to share it with you guys .
I really hope that it helps you guys out and let's go ahead and get started .
So I'm going to show you guys some pictures compared to how I used to be versus how I am now just to give you some background information .
So by no means was I overweight , I'm not going to say that there's going to be a lot of controversy probably in the comments about it , but I knew that I did not look fit whatsoever for how much I was being active and working out .
I did not look fit at all .
I did have a lot of muscle and it was very , very strong .
So that benefited me in sports and in dance , but it was just hiding under a lot of fat .
I struggled with a lot of cellulite and I just could not look the way I wanted to .
So with my body just clinging on so much on to fat and on to water it , I just wasn't going anywhere .
So with that being said , I'm going to start off with the number one thing that I feel like is very important and that is breakfast , you start off your day .
Eating breakfast is typical breakfast , lunch dinner .
Those are going to be your three main meals of the entire day .
I have a lot of friends that I like to talk to about fitness and working out .
I just find fitness and physiology .
So fascinating .
So I love talking to people about it .
And some of my friends started saying that they would just cut out breakfast completely from their day .
They would fast until noon and all they would be ingesting is water .
And at that point , they would get their workouts done , whatever they needed to do .
Like errands wise , school , you name it .
And it worked wonders for them for weight loss , knowing that it worked out so well for other people that I knew I decided to go ahead and try it .
So I would just stick to water until 12 p.m. And unfortunately , it just did not work out that well for me , I would start getting hunger pains .
I had no energy whatsoever .
It was so hard for me to get through the first half of my day and I felt like my body was just clinging onto whatever it had left inside .
So once lunch and dinner came , then I would be craving so much food .
So I would be eating very large portions because my body would want to compensate for the calories that I didn't receive earlier in the day .
So knowing that it did not work out .
Well , for me and I had a lot of food in my stomach before going to bed as well .
So if you do want a fast food portion of your day , then I'd recommend skipping dinner instead of breakfast for me .
Still that did not work .
Once I actually started getting back into breakfast , I had a good sized meal and healthy food .
I had so much energy .
I started dropping that , wait a lot faster .
And I was just a lot more content with how my day went .
Now , the second topic I'm going to go into is liquids .
I feel like so many people enjoy , for example , soda and coffee because they are so easy to get .
I was in the same boat , especially with soda back when I was in high school .
When I was getting lunch , it would be very easy to just take a soda with a combo meal and just sip on it throughout the rest of the day .
And the amount of sugar and chemicals that are in there are so extremely unhealthy for you and I did not feel good afterwards .
I felt so bloated .
I just felt disgusting .
So I decided to try and cut out soda out of my life completely about four years ago and it worked wonders just doing that alone .
I was already shedding off a lot of bloat and just excess weight on my love handles and it was working really , really well for me .
So even if you do baby steps , just try that at least and see how your body will react to that coffee .
Like the same exact way for people , people are completely addicted to them .
So caffeine is going to lead to more water attention and bloating .
So try the same thing with that , maybe cut down a little bit and look at your results .
Number three , I feel like has probably made one of the most significant impacts out of all of these tips .
And that is completely cutting out dairy for my life because I saw it most of my skin .
I had really bad cystic acne on my forehead and on my jawline .
And I also had really severe acne on my shoulders and on my arms , it was really , really bad .
I was so self conscious about it .
I never saw people around me have it .
So as soon as I cut out dairy , all that acne started going with so , so quickly I'd get a couple of breakouts here and there , but that's about , it definitely was not complaining about that .
But also I just started dropping the weight a lot easier .
When I was doing cardio , it started making a lot more of an impact .
I did not feel as gross .
I did not feel as bloated and my stomach wasn't as sensitive to it .
Number four is going to be on meal portions and it's going to be really quick and easy .
But when you guys are eating , you stop eating because you start feeling very full and that is the signal that your brain receives from your stomach .
The issue is that while you're eating , that signal is very delayed .
So you begin to overeat .
This is why counting your calories and really observing your portions is very important in my personal situation .
I like to eat smaller portions more frequently throughout the day .
It speeds up my metabolism and it makes me feel a lot more energized .
But if you guys don't want to do that and you still just want to stick to three meals and maybe like a snack here and there .
Go ahead and do that .
Whatever works for , you just look up a nice meal plan online that would work for you .
So now that we've talked about taking care of your body and your diet , now we're going to move on to the workout portion .
And thankfully after I did all the things that I said before , I didn't have to start going to the gym as frequently as before because my body was taking care of itself on its own .
But with that being said , I still feel like the most important workouts out there are hip workouts which stand for high intensity interval training , which basically just stand for really intense short workouts .
So in the most amount of calories and shorter amounts of time , that's going to be a lot more helpful for you guys who are trying to lose some of your weight .
Now , switching up your workouts on a day to day basis is very important to keep making progress .
So my experience , I like to switch up the muscle groups that I do every single day .
For example , I might do bison back one day and then I'll run a few miles and then the next day I'll do , try some chest and then I'll do the elliptical or I'll do some biking .
So , stuff like that .
I still also like to incorporate swimming , different , really creative ways to do cardio .
Like you can also go on a hike , swim , run , go on a jog , you name it , you can come up with it .
I feel like I just have to do the same thing , but really just switching it up is going to help focus on different areas of your body .
So then you're going to be burning off that fat a lot more easily and then your body won't be getting too used to it because it's still important to be challenging yourself as much as you can .
So you can go that extra step the next time .
So you do want to switch up recess with this .
If you're trying to bulk up , then you want to do high weights and low reps .
But if you want to tone up , then you want to do low weights and high reps .
If you're trying to go for weight loss then definitely go for the toning aspect .
And I feel like that's where a lot of people get confused .
A lot of people , people are confused and think that if they lift the highest weight and then they just do it a few times , then it will help contribute to more weight loss .
But that is not the case .
Following up with lifting weights .
You want to be doing a lot of cardio because cardio is going to be burning a lot of fat since you just built up some muscle .
So if you want to build muscle , you got to burn fat so that you can actually see the progress that you've made .
Next one is take the extra step , it's something very easy and simple to do .
For example , if you're going to go to the grocery store , park your car a little bit farther away , take those few extra steps , burn a few extra calories .
So it's those very little things that you can start incorporating into your daily routine and they are so small that you don't notice them as much .
But if you start doing them consistently , then you will start making a lot more progress .
Now , these last two are kind of short , but I still feel like they're very important , especially tying into body positivity and mental health .
The first one is progress picks because you never feel as motivated and determined if you just compare yourself to how you were a few weeks ago , about a month ago because when you look in the mirror at yourself , you're not going to see that much of a difference .
So if you do start taking pictures on a daily basis , a weekly basis , you name it , that's going to help motivate you a lot more because you're definitely going to start to see a lot more results through those .
And finally , I feel like talking about clothes is so important .
Now , I'm one of those girls that is such a huge fan of oversized baggy t-shirts and super loose sweats .
It's so comfortable .
I love feeling like I'm swimming around in my clothes , especially in the winter time .
But you're just not going to feel that great about yourself because it's not off your body and it's going to make you look fuller than you actually are .
I know it sounds harsh , but it's true .
We all know it .
We've all been there .
So if you want to replace those comfy clothes with other ones , you can still do leggings , you can still do some cute crop tops .
I love wearing athleisure clothes .
I get the most compliments in them and I still feel extremely , extremely comfortable .
So my go to recommendation for clothes are some high waisted leggings .
I really love the gym shark , seamless ones .
They're so comfortable and they really just suck you in , especially at the tummy and high waisted things make your legs look a lot longer and along with those workout leggings .
I like to pair either a crop top , a slim fitting jacket or a workout tank because you're still going to be really , really comfortable and you're also going to look awesome .
If I don't want to do workout clothes , then I'll usually go with some high waisted jeans and some kind of crop top .
So that way you're actually going to be able to make your legs look a lot longer and that crop top is not going to be too revealing because it's still just going to be at the seam of your jeans .
So you're going to look like you have a lot longer legs and then a lot slimmer of a torso .
So yeah , that was my experience on how I lost £25 within such a short amount of time .
Honestly , this has been the best year for me physically .
I feel great , so much healthier , so much more fit and I'm just really excited that you guys were able to learn some of these tips .
If you like this video , then definitely be sure to go ahead and give it a big thumbs up and let me know if you want to see any other videos related to this .
Stay happy smell really big .
I hope you guys have an amazing day and I'll see you all in my next video .
