HOW to Connect EARPHONES to a TV With NO Headphone Jack - UPDATE 2018

video content Image generated by Wilowrid

Hey guys , welcome back to my channel .

So in this video today , I'm gonna be showing you how to connect a pair of earphones into your TV , that does not have a headphone jack .

So I've actually made a , a tutorial about this quite a while ago , but I've since upgraded my gear .

So I've recently got a soundbar which makes everything literally so much better .

So I highly recommend you get yourself a soundbar or even a pair of PC speakers .

So you can use any pair of speakers as long as it has an audio cable and a headphone jack .

Most importantly though , you also want to make sure it has an amplifier so that you can raise the volume .

So this soundbar right here has an audio cable and a headphone jack so that I can plug my earphones into the jack .

And of course , it also has an amplifier so that I can turn up the volume really loud .

Because previously , I didn't have this option .

You're also going to need an RC A to 3.5 millimeter female .

This can be purchased off Amazon for about six bucks .

And if I didn't mention this the soundbar cost about 35 to $40 .

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative , then definitely go for a pair of PC speakers .

I believe there are ones on Amazon that cost about $11 .

Ok .

So now let's get started .

You're going to locate the audio output ports in the back of your TV , which is , that's where they usually are .

Once you've located them , take the RC adapter , plug it into the back of your TV , into the audio output ports , red to red , white to white .

That's usually how it is .

Once you're done with that , you're going to take the audio cable from your soundbar or speakers and you're going to plug them into the other end of the RC A cable .

Next thing you're going to do is you're going to plug the speakers into the wall for power or if you have the sound bar with a USB cable , you're going to plug that into the back of your TV .

So locate the USB port in the back of your TV .

If you don't have a USB port , then you can always use a USB wall adapter .

So I'm using this one right here .

This is the wall adapter from my iphone .

You can pretty much use any USB wall adapter .

Just make sure it's not above five volts or below five volts .

You want to make sure it's five volts .

So you pretty much should be all set up by now .

You can take any pair of earphones , plug them into the headphone jack and you now have audio coming out from your TV , into the headphone jack .

And the good thing with this sound bar or if you have a pair of speakers is you can now use the AMP to make the volume a lot higher or lower , whatever your preference is .

So if you're not hearing any audio that's coming out from your earphones , first of all , make sure that your TV is on .

Also , make sure that your volume is up on your TV , sound bar or speakers and also try different audio output ports on your TV .

Maybe you're just not connected to the right ones .

And again , I'll have everything listed in the description below .

So don't forget to check that .

Anyway , that's gonna be it .

Hopefully this tutorial did help you out .

If it did , please do leave a like thank you guys for watching .

And as always , I'll catch you on the flip side .
