Today we're gonna focus on the knee spin .
Let me show it to you guys with music first and then I'll break it down .
All right guys .
So the first thing you need to do is make sure you have your knee pads on .
I won't suggest you try it without , if you do just go ahead and stop once it starts hurting .
Ok ?
Especially when you do the spin part , you're gonna start feeling it in your knees .
Let me give you a quick little step to get into it .
So the first thing we're gonna do is little step with the left leg .
So step forward and then come down on your left knee .
Ok ?
So left leg forward , back down on the left knee .
Here we go .
Let's try that again .
678 , step one down .
Two .
OK .
One more time .
6781 two .
OK .
So if you can see , I'm kind of uh twisted to the side , I'm not directly in the middle because this is gonna allow me to do the spin .
So from here , my right leg is gonna come down as I'm turning and this is gonna be the first part of the spin here .
You want to get to the back .
Ok ?
So the way I'm doing that is the right leg is coming down the back leg .
I'm gonna pick it up a little bit .
So my leg comes up like this so I could actually move and not drag my foot on the floor .
So here , now if you use enough momentum that should get you around and then you're gonna switch the leg here .
Once you get back here , you're gonna continue to spin on your right leg and then the left leg is gonna open up and then you should be here with the switch of the legs , ok ?
You could put your arm down or if you have good enough balance , you could stay up .
Ok ?
So let's try that one more time .
Come on up .
Here we go .
678 , step one .
Come down , two .
So the left leg is down .
Right leg is here from here .
You're gonna spin , use your arms and your body for the momentum to go to the left side .
Put the right knee down , pick up the left leg .
Yeah , the left foot is up so you can spin on that knee .
So you're gonna go one from here .
You switch two .
Yeah .
So that's the switch of the knees .
Boom .
You end up on the right knee and now the left foot is down So let's try that one more time .
Come on up , here we go .
678 step with the left leg .
Left knee down , you're gonna spin , you're gonna pick up the back foot up .
So you could actually spin on the left , the left knee and then put the right knee down here .
Ok .
So that's your first motion right there here from there .
The minute the right knee , um , hits the floor , you're gonna pick up that left leg here from here .
Let the spin continue on the right knee and then open up that left leg and you're back here .
OK ?
Try that again .
Here we go .

So the four , OK .
So again , the spin is happening .
Half of the spin is on my left knee , half of the spin is on the right knee .

Now , once you're here on two , OK , I'm using my body and my arms for the momentum of the spin .

So I give myself a little push here .
Boom .
And I'm able to spin around .
OK .
Let's try one more time and then we'll switch the legs .
We'll go over to the right side .
Here we go , stepping forward again with the left leg , 678 , step one down two , go for the spin , the four .
Now , remember what I told you when you're spinning , legs are coming up , your foot is coming up .
Same with the right .
So you're here .
So you don't , it doesn't touch the floor so you could spin on your knee .

Here we go one last time switching the leg .
678 , go 123 , four .
Good .
Let's switch it up .
Same thing .
Right leg will cross now .
Ok .

Right leg , cross right leg down .
You're gonna spin to the right side .
Left leg is going down and then you're switching the knees .

We're gonna spin over the right shoulder .
Left knee goes , pick up that right foot .

So like I said , you have to use your body and you have to use your arms for the momentum for you to actually be able to spin .
Don't expect to just spin without giving yourself any push .
