Hi Kit .
He's waiting here today .
We're gonna draw a mommy and baby bird to celebrate Mother's Day .
So let's get started to draw this sweet picture .
Let's first start by drawing the mommy bird .
So I'm gonna come right here and draw a really big curve .
So let's just start by right here and I'll go up and with this bird , mommy bird because she's kind of leaning towards the baby .
I'm going to give this curve right here a slight angle towards this side right here .
So let's go up .
Oops .
OK .
So he's got a nice high curve , but we're gonna slant it a little bit .
So let's come down all right here .
So nice and high , but slightly slanted then from there .
Now that this is pretty , even on both sides , we're gonna come right underneath this um point right here and draw another curve .
So this kind of like being my center , I'll say about right here .
I'm just gonna draw another curve and this is going to be the baby bird .
So this one can be um just nice and even curve there .
So now that we have these two main curves in , let's go ahead and finish .
Uh Let's draw the baby bird first .
So I'll bring this down .
It's just kind of like this oval that's a little bit thinner towards the bottom .
I'll bring it down a little bit more and about right here .
I'm gonna stop because I need to put this little wing right here .
So in this area , I'm gonna draw a curve and bring it down .
So come right here , curve it out and it , and then we're just gonna taper as we come to the bottom .
So just a small little wing and actually , you know what , I'm gonna make this a little bit wider .
So it's just a little bit more spoon .
OK .
So then from there , I'm just gonna make the body about this long .
So the wing would be about right here .
I'm just gonna come to a slight brown point and connect then from there , I'm just gonna imagine this coming through to finish my oval shape for the bird then connect there .
So it's just a very basic little oval right there with a wing inside and then on the other side just come right across about right here and I'll just pop out the other wing , just a little indication and taper it in there .
OK .
So then now um let's work on the mommy bird before we put in all the details .
So once again , um I'm just gonna curve this in and I'm just gonna end at the same area right here and it's the same shape .
So it's just thinner towards the bottom .
So it's come all the way to the bottom and just like the baby bird .
But right here I'm going to come in .
They are nice , simplified bird .
OK .
So we have that is like a big egg , right ?
And then let's come to about uh let's say right here , go ahead and pop out a wing and then there and then let's come to the bottom for the feet .
So right in the center , we just wanna make sure our feet are nice and centered .
I'm just gonna come right here and just drop this two curves in here as well .
They are nice and simple and same thing for the baby bird smaller of course and two more there .
OK .
So then now we can finally come in and draw the details .
So Mommy Bird has eyes that are kind of curved this way and we wanna lean it towards the baby .
So I'm gonna start with this cipher .
So I'll just come about right here and it's gonna be above the wing .
So say about right here as slant , I'll come about right here and draw a curve .
So the other one would be about right here .
Now , I just come in and thicken this curve and then the beak .
So the beak is once again , also at the same angle can definitely turn your body if you need to round off the side and then connect from there .
Oh And the first details can come right here .
We're just gonna drop two curse for detail for feathers and then let's see here .
Um round this off now for the baby .
So the baby , the eyes will once again be above the wing area .
So about right here and then towards mommy .
So I'll say about right here .
I'll start and I'll draw a little curve downward , come in here and thicken it up and come right across and same thing and then the little beak right in the center , just like mommy or daddy , right , whatever you want in there .
And then um let's give this baby bird here some feathers .
So right in here , I just pop into little curve or some detail and you can come in here if you like just draw to curse or some feather detail or you can do that when you're coloring .
So it's not so harsh .
And um so that is pretty much it for the bird .
So now let's put um the birds on a branch .
So I'm gonna come about right here .
So our main goal is to have this branch connected right here .
So however you draw your feet , this line just needs to come right through .
So I'll just bring this out and out .
So it's a little bit thicker towards this side , of course , and then it's gonna get thinner .
So let's bring this out .
However , you like I'm just gonna branch mine out .
Maybe this one's a little bit longer coming in here , draw two branches right there and then for some leaves to decorate this area .
So I'm just going to very quickly just decorate .
We draw some leaves , smaller rooms here .
I really hope this drawing inspires you and I can't wait to see your fan art .
So um coming in here some center rain and even if we uh we could even put some uh berries too if you like .
Why not ?
Right ?
So maybe one here and where else should we put the baby here there ?
OK .
And then now finally to draw the tail .
So mommy bird has a longer tail .
So I'm gonna bring this bow right here and you know what , now that I notice that we can hide the tail .
Let's pop this mommy bird out more .
So I just make her fatter so we can close up that gap there .
OK ?
So now that we've closed this gap , we can just kind of put this tail in here .
That'll make more sense that we can just simplify the tail uh for some details .
I'm just gonna go ahead and draw two curves inside .
So you can put in more color and then the little tail for the baby once again right underneath maybe one curve and let's see here , you know what ?
Let me come in here really quickly .
And so I don't confuse you and wipe this out .
So my goal is just to fill up the space in between them as much as possible so that I don't have to draw in too many details .
And this part is nice and wide and smooth , tapering to the wing .
And this part right here , when you're drawing the head , this part is more slanted and then comes around and that is pretty much it , except of course , I'm gonna add a heart right .
Let's see about right here .
So they're all done .
I really hope you love how this mommy and baby bird turned out and I've inspired to draw it for Mother's Day or any day .
