Hey , Art Land .
How's it going in today's video ?
I want to show you guys how to draw an up close version of the Ominous Rex .
So we're just gonna be focusing on the face in this drawing .
So I wanna start off with the eye .
So I'm gonna start right here and I'm gonna draw a line that's just gonna kind of curve up and down and then I'm just going to kind of curve down and then back up like this , then I'm gonna make a little kind of slit right here just for the pupil kind of like a snake eye .
I'm gonna draw a little long line that goes along the top and then I'm just gonna add a couple more right above it .
Then I'm gonna add a little one underneath and then I'm just gonna put a few more just to kind of make it look like it's really wrinkly .
I'm gonna draw a line that's just gonna kind of curve around and then kind of come down like this and then starting back here , I'm gonna draw a line that's just gonna kind of go up , it's gonna go down right above the eye and then it's just gonna kind of curve around here .
I wanna kind of bring this down a little more and then I'm gonna start here and I'm just gonna draw lines .
It's gonna kind of go down and then it's gonna kind of curve up down and then up and down again , a little bit of a crazy pattern .
The mouth has a lot of like dips and grooves and bumps in it .
Then I'm gonna start way back here and I'm gonna draw lines that's gonna kind of curve down and then it's just gonna go out like this and then I'm going to just kind of bring it down and then I'm gonna kind of curve up down and then I'm just gonna kind of bring it back to here , kind of looks like a beak right now , but it'll change very quickly .
I'm gonna start back here and draw another line .
It's just gonna kind of go down like this and then I'm just gonna kind of bring this back to here for the neck .
Now , starting up here .
Let's kind of work on some details so we can kind of finish off this mouth .
So it doesn't look so much like a beak .
So we wanna add the teeth in here .
So I'm gonna add some kind of big , sharp kind of curved teeth in front and then I'm gonna start leaving some space and I'm gonna kind of curve these back and make them real big here .
And then I'm just gonna kind of add some more all over the place and then just a few small ones back here , gonna add this kind of long curved part of the mouth here and actually some of the teeth are in front of it too .
So then I'm gonna start here .
He doesn't really have that much teeth or she really doesn't , I should say .
And so I'm just gonna kind of curve these around , make some big ones right here .
Let them kind of curve out then starting right here by this tooth .
I'm just gonna draw a line that's just gonna kind of curve down , gonna jump over this one here and go right to here .
I'm gonna draw a line that's just gonna go right to about there and then I want the tongue sticking out .
So I'm gonna start it back here and just draw lines .
It's gonna kind of curve down and up and then I'm just gonna go down and then kind of curve back here .
Another one that's just gonna kind of go right here to show some detail on the tongue and then I'm just gonna draw a line that's just gonna go down here .
It's gonna go kind of around these teeth , oops a little bit tall there .
And then you just want to kind of put some more kind of sharp teeth over here , just kind of different sizes .
And then we're gonna add some more teeth on this side to kind of make them go all over the place .
They can kind of curve back , curve the other direction .
They're kind of all over here .
Now over here , I'm just gonna start making some kind of curve lines just to kind of show where there's like some skin on the neck that's just kind of bending and wrinkled and I'm just gonna kind of bring it all the way around here .
I'm gonna add just kind of like a long kind of broken line that's kind of wavy right around here for the lip .
And I'm gonna do the same thing down here .
Add a couple little extra long lines just to kind of make the chin look like it's kind of in front of this part of the jaw .
Gonna add a couple little extra lines around here .
It's got this big indentation right here .
So I'm gonna put this big kind of broken oval shape right there , kind of add a little curve line up here .
I'm gonna draw a line that just kind of goes down and it's gonna kind of curve back for the nostril and then just some kind of little curve lines around it .
I'm gonna put just some kind of little curve lines right around the teeth here just to kind of show some different details and stuff , some little lines right around here , some more little lines all over the place , gonna add some quick curve lines in here .
Now , the Ominous Rex has a lot of spikes on it .
So , starting right up here , I'm just gonna draw some lines that just kind of curve back , almost like a little shark fin and they're going to stop right before I get to the eye and then starting right up here .
I'm gonna draw a line that just kind of goes back and then kind of curves here .
Then I'm gonna start off with some more of those kind of like smaller little shark fins .
And then I'm gonna kind of put these in different sizes and kind of all over because there are a lot of spikes along the back .
I'm gonna draw another kind of little indentation here , kind of like where the ear would be .
And then I'm going to start adding some kind of little spikes all around here , kind of different shapes and sizes kind of sporadic all over .
Some will be big , some will be small , make some kind of go right off the paper and then I'm just gonna kind of add some little lines kind of around here , gonna add a couple little kind of broken wavy lines just to kind of show where there's some different texture and stuff , gonna add some kind of broken lines around here and just a few more extra lines all over the place .
Then once you have this , then it's time to just kind of start working on some different lines and everything .
Just kind of do some different little line work , some different little details all over .
Can add some little lines onto the spikes here , kind of try some different things , kind of be creative .
I'm gonna add some kind of little lines all over here , kind of add some different things all over .
I'm not gonna get too crazy with all of , you know , the little scales and everything because I'll just take forever .
We'll be here for a million years trying to do that .
So I'm just gonna kind of add some curve lines around where the spikes are kind of sitting in some extra little lines all over here .
Kind of little lines around there .
I had a couple more little lines here , just a couple of little lines inside the mouth too .
Let's add some extra little details around here like a little darker line up here to make them look a little bit angrier .
Yeah , and then just kind of adding some details all over and there you go .
There is a drawing of an Indos Rex .
Now , there's one more thing you guys can do , you can add these kind of long , kind of pointy spikes back here , kind of similar to the Indo Raptor , what it has .
But there you go .
I'm going to fast forward and start coloring this .
Thanks for watching .
Hope you guys enjoyed
