We need to start drawing .

We're going to draw a very , very faint line halfway across our paper .

We'll start with the front of the face .

I'm gonna draw a little curve here just to represent that little curve , the front of the nose .

I'm just drawing this quite faintly , first of all , then we'll draw over it .

I'm going to draw a simple nose .

I'm drawing everything very , very lightly and faintly just to start with just so we can see where everything is .

I'm going to take the mouth now .

The mouth starts , comes down to about here .

I'm going to take a nice , gentle curve here , gentle curve and a line coming in .

That's all I'm going to do .

It's almost like a letter to a number two .

Take a simple curve underneath and bring a line in and take another simple curve round for the chin .

So we just come in here and around .

It's a slight curve for the chin , so we have that very , very simple shape .

Now , if you're happy with that , you can then just draw over it .

We'll just strengthen it slightly , so we got the first part of the face done .

The eye comes a little bit further back now .

The eye starts about here .

What I would suggest is you just do a gentle curve .

It's almost like a triangle shape , so we start here and I'm just going to draw very , very lightly .

First of all , a gentle curve coming down here and maybe a curve .

Um , what I would suggest you do is you draw an ear very simply , like a question mark .

Um so for example , we start like this again .

We're drawing it very faintly first .

So a question with a curve on the bottom .

So I've got a question Mark and I put a little curve on the front , and I draw another question mark inside that one .

Now all ears are different , so you'll have to look at your particular ears or the person you're drawing and see what shape they are .

So we've got a very simple basic ear .

Now , if you put your finger underneath your ear , you will find that , um if you follow the jawbone down , it comes down .

And then there's a really sharp , quite curve , and it curves down to the chin .

So again , just very likely bring it down .

So you get this curve around here fairly sharp curve .

Once you're happy , bring the line down .

You've got the basic shape , so so far , so good .

Next thing is to look at where the top of the head is .

If we take this measurement here , this is halfway .

But the top of the head is not here .

The top of the head is here .

That will be the top of the head .

So to create the top of the head .

Now , the round part of the head , we start using our wrist and to do that .

Most people's front of their face is slightly different , some slightly curve in some curve out .

We'll just do a standard face here .

So I'm just going to draw a very simple curve shape here , look , using my fingers and drawing it very , very faintly to start with .

So a very simple curve shape coming up here .

Then I'm going to do a big curve coming right along the top and behind the ears to about approximately this distance here .

And then .

Once I've done that , I've got a curve that looks quite a shallow curve round here for the back of the head .

OK , so I get the basic shape .

Once I've done that , I then use my wrist again because I need to curve this in the opposite direction , and it's quite a sharp curve .

It curves around here , and we then need to do the neck itself .

We got a slight section underneath the chin , slight curve down and obviously the curve down for the neck .

So you have basic shape Now , once you've done that , we can then work on from there .

Well , let's put an eyebrow in .

That would be a good idea , wouldn't it ?

I'd forgotten to do that .

OK , so I imagine we make this into a young lady .

Um , imagine she has a ponytail .

It may be that she has , for example , a block of the back here .

Look where a bunch where everything is bunched together .

So I just gonna bunch that together here and her hair .

Her hair can go in all sorts of different ways , so it might sort of sweep along the frontier .

But perhaps , but one of the interesting things is that the hair , because she's pulled it into a bunch , will tend to radiate from this point .

So the hair will be slightly larger than the head slightly above the head you see here .

And I'm just going to bring in lines from that point .

Uh , once we've done that , as you can see here , we can just strengthen these lines just a little as we can see .

Um , I'm now going to draw the ponytail now to to get the shape in , because obviously you want to create nice shapes here and try to move your hand .

Try to twist your hand around so that we have lovely shape .

So , for example , I might tip my wives and I just twist them round .

And I overlap these lines .

You see , I do a number of them , so we've got , as you can see here now , the basic shape you could then work on top of this and put in light and shape .

Put a little bit more detail in and so on .

OK , that covers the basics of drawing the shape .

इसके ऊपर आपको क्लिक करना है ।

ओके पर क्लिक करना है तो ये टीम डिलीट हो जायेगा ।

इस तरीके से जितने भी टीम को आप अभी यूज नहीं कर रहे हो उनको डिलीट कर देना ।

Hey there everybody .

It's Mark Curley .

I'm back with another how to draw video .

Today , we're gonna be learning how to draw the same character at three different ages .

He's gonna be a little boy here , then a young man here and finally an old man here .

Now , what I have is uh three squares .

Each one of them is about five centimeters wide .

And I'm gonna add uh just one guideline right now .

That's gonna go right across um almost the middle of each square .

Um Let me , when I pull the uh ruler back , you'll see it's a little closer to the lower line than to the top .

This line is gonna help me place the eyes uh of each one of the characters , but let's go ahead and zoom in on this first square and we're gonna get into the basic guidelines uh for the face of the little boy .

OK .

So we've got the basic guidelines of the face in place now and I'm gonna zoom in just a little bit more so as to show the facial features in greater detail .

All right .

So I'm gonna start adding a little more um definition to these eyes here and I'm gonna go ahead and darken up the uh upper eyelash uh and just give a little indication of uh the eyelid , the fold of the eyelid above .

And uh I suppose the main thing to focus on in terms of uh as we move along from one face to the other is that uh I'm drawing these eyes in such a way that there's very little uh um you know , emphasis of the lines at the bottom of the eye .

I find that that is gonna help to give this feeling of youth .

Uh The more you define the eyes , uh the more I think it conveys um age , especially as we get older , we start adding wrinkles and so forth around the eyes .

And so by using this sort of minimal approach where by um you know , the irises are quite large and uh we barely even see any indication of the lower eyelid .

Uh somehow I think that helps uh uh convey youth .

Now , one thing I noticed in photographs and I did uh actually study photographs here uh is that the uh I uh brows uh when a child is younger are not nearly as dark and pronounced as they are uh when the child gets older .

So uh I may even go and erase a little bit here .

So is to lighten this up and you'll find that when we get to the final illustration that I'm kind of deemphasizing the eyebrows um , and now to move down to the nose , one interesting thing about the child's uh nose , uh the way it's drawn anyway , uh is that we're not going to give any emphasis whatsoever really to the bridge of the nose this area here , maybe we almost just pretend that it's not even there .

Of course , if you're doing a real portrait for sort of photographic style portrait of a child , you'll see some shading around the um the bridge .

Uh But certainly that is something that becomes more pronounced with age .

So I'm just gonna leave that off just putting a little bit of uh shading here to , you know , in the case of this character to suggest a little bit of a um a pug nose or , you know , just kind of a cute perky nose .

And uh finally , uh I'm gonna move down to drawing the mouth and uh this uh character again , we're , we're trying to do it in a minimal way .

So as not to uh call too much attention to the sort of anything that might suggest wrinkles .

You certainly want there to be no chance of any of your lines being misread as wrinkles because that of course would look bizarre .

But one thing you'll see uh with a young child is a little bit of this baby fat is still there .

And what that means is that you get the chin , you get this sort of uh contour of the chin curved here and then kind of puffing out a little bit .

Um , now you don't want to draw , you don't want this line of the chin to , uh , to go in upon the face .

But you just wanna try to suggest by way of the contour that there's a little bit of a curve there .

I'm doing my best to try to do this in a subtle way and that suggests this feeling of , uh , baby fat .

Now , uh I'm just gonna quickly , you know , this is not really a video about the ears , um the ears , I suppose do change over time and get a little larger maybe .

Um But uh I don't think it's a major concern for someone who's trying to study the way a character's face uh changes with age .

So I'm just sort of zipping through uh the ears here and uh maybe the last thing I'll do is start to suggest the hairline .

This , of course , uh helps convey this feeling of uh youth and um maybe just a little bit of an indication of the collar uh even to make it more ridiculous in terms of consistency , he's gonna be wearing the same thing in uh each uh scene that we draw .

Now , uh I'm gonna save the sort of finishing touches in terms of shading and so forth .

I'm gonna save that for the very end of the video where we come back and do all of the characters uh at once , maybe uh the finishing touches .

Uh For now , I'm gonna just move right along to the next one where we're gonna see the same character as a young man .

Uh And we'll stay kind of zoomed in , I think maybe .

Um so as to uh you know , keep the focus on the facial features uh rather than the uh entire drawing of the head and shoulders and so forth .
