How to Draw Elephants Easy 🐘Mommy and Baby

Hi , Jurassic Kitty .

We here today , we're gonna draw a mommy and baby elephant to celebrate Mother's Day .

So let's get started to draw these two sweet elephants this first up by drawing a big curve for the top of our mommy elephant .

So I'm gonna come right here and we're just gonna start with a big curve right across .

Nice and big your basic knife , big curve for the top of our mommy elephant .

And so it's a little bit sharper here and then just gonna widen out .

Um Let's see .

All right here .

We just make our mommy elephant about this big and I'll stop .

So now that we're about the same level , I'll stop and then I'm gonna work on the head first .

So let's bring this curve down , then we're gonna angle it slightly .

So just bring it down there and bring this part down .

So we're just gonna go back and forth .

We kind of know what we're working with .

So I just noticed this curve is a little bit sharper right here and then it slides down .

That's your goal .

I just want this part to slide downwards more than the front .

OK .

So then from there , let's keep going .

We're gonna bring this down more and we're gonna start to come out .

And the reason we're coming out is because we need to draw the trunk .

So I'm gonna come out , we have a narrow curve .

So we're gonna go up and come up right here to say about this much .

So we just draw this curve right here , kind of sharp right here .

And then we're going to um oops , let's uh widen this , let's come right across and then we're just gonna follow our curve down for our trunk and we're just gonna get wider as we come down and we're just gonna aim all right here .

So nice .

I'm worried about this part .

So we're just gonna come out and just bring this in about that much .

And then on this side , we're just gonna bring it in down and I'll just stop there for now because I still have to draw the baby in this area , right .

So let's work on mommy first .

So right above this curve right here , we're gonna go up close to this edge and we're going to draw the eye .

So curve right here where it starts to angle out right above here , come up and that being our center , we're gonna come right here and drop big curve , nice big curve for the eyes and I'll thicken this up and draw some lashes , of course .

And I just gotta draw some curse .

Yes .

So they curve out and then this one goes this way , the other way there .

OK .

So then now we need to draw the big ears for Mommy .

So come to about right here , this area nice and high .

I'm gonna give myself a point and we're just gonna go ahead and draw this big ear come down about right here and slightly angle in and bring it there .

We should make it a little bit thicker .

OK .

So we have mommy's ear in now .

It's all coming together , right ?

So let's come back to this area and in this um right here where you stopped , we're gonna come right here .

Just imagine this is kind of like this big oval for the elephant .

We're gonna come about right here and draw a curve coming downwards just a small little curve and then from there , we're gonna come right in here with a straight line down to draw the feet .

It's a nice thick feet .

So save about right here in here and I'll go ahead and connect it nice and soft with a big curve at the bottom .

So this is a very simplified elephant , right ?

Um Before I forget , let's come back right here .

I'm just gonna draw some crease .

So some curves , maybe four of them right in this curve area for the nose for the trunk .

I mean , OK .

So then from there , let's go ahead and let's work on the baby first before we finish mommy .

So in this area is where I know I want to put the baby .

So let's say about right here , kind of where the ears are .

I'm gonna come right here and do the same thing , but just smaller version .

So right here and I down to the curve there .

So nice .

And even right here about right here , there's no curve right there .

And then once again , we're gonna come slightly down with an angle , come down right there , bring this down .

Then once again , let's work on the track .

So let's go down and having the babies track a little bit lower and come up .

So right there , once again , thicken it up and then we're gonna go back up and once you can imaging this as a mobile , so we'll stop , not right there .

And then from there , we're gonna go ahead and jo first .

So then let's come right above again where this trunk area right here , where you end it come straight up close to the edge , just like mommy .

And we're gonna draw a curve for the eyes and baby's eyes are going this way there , just thicken it up and give it a little curl .

And once again , I'll just drop through the lines right here for some creases and of course the ears .

So just like mommy come right by here and we're just gonna draw much rounder here .

All right , that OK .

So then from there , let's bring this down we're gonna bring it down to about the same level and then we can go ahead and drop babies leg right here .

So we just wanna make sure it's about the same level .

Am I right there and connect ?

And we're just gonna imagine this coming across and bring this in and then we're gonna straight line again for the back legs .

So about the same thickness and , and at the same air level connect and then right here just connect the tummy area .

OK .

So then from there , let's work on um the back , left , back , front , you come right here and then end it and same thing here and end it .

And then let's see .

Let's finish mommy up right here , whatever space you have left and same thing here just come down .

So , but right here just gonna bring in the curve , her mommy and her front legs right here on the other side of it right here , just like baby and then end it .

OK .

So nice with the , we don't need to draw her back legs .

So then let's come in here for some of these nails .

So just a bunch of curves .

Now , I'll just draw three right here , then one right here .

And for baby , let me just draw two to simplify it .

Well , actually , you know what , maybe we should have drawn three , just three smaller ones .

Two looks a little weird , right ?

So let me come in here really quickly then wipe this out and change that .

Ok .

So let me wait for that to dry and then let's work on the tail .

So baby's tail , we're gonna bring it out .

Um Right here a little bit thicker and then comes a point .

Mhm .

Little pink brush right here and Mommy as well to come down thicker .

At that point , it comes down thinner and once again , a bigger paint brush .

Ok .

So that is , let's see here .

That is pretty much it for the main part of our drawing here .

But I thought it would be really nice to spruce it up and let's add a heart right here for mommy first and then for baby .

And that's my cute elephants , right ?

But I thought it would be also really nice um to come about right here and let's see about right here .

We're just gonna make this whimsical heart comes right as if it's coming out of their trunks there and mommy as well .

So save up right here , just disperse it up if you like to add extra love in there .

And I'll come in here really quickly and wipe that part out and oh yeah , and also the nails .

I forgot her baby right here .

So three of them .

So they're all done .
