What's up everybody ?
Welcome back to another drawing tutorial .
So today we have a parrot , a macaw .
Um Yeah , they're like the blue and yellow and kind of green , sort of ones .
So I am on a landscape orientation page .
A two format is what I use .
Um It's European like if you're in America , I don't know what the equivalent would be .
So like I go like a two , a three would be half this a four .
So 82 , it's the same proportions as a four or a three .
So if you have any of those um size papers , they'll work as well .
I do it big for the camera and because sharpie's put down a pretty big line .
So if I use the real small page , the sharpie would like run together and stuff so big page anyway , never mind .
You don't care , draw the part .
OK .
So uh right where to begin .
But so is I why not ?
So center point of my page is about here .
It's like where his body will be like his wing will come up over to the right hand side a little bit .
So we're just going to start with like a circle like so and then we'll put his pupil in the middle , they fairly symbolize birds .
There's a circle with another circle on the inside like that , right ?
Yeah .
So , OK , so we got like a sort of a furry sort of eyebrow sort of area comes up across the top of the eye , here comes across to the top of his head .
So the eye is pretty tiny compared to the rest of them .
So , so this kind of shape , OK .
And then this comes up around to here and the top of his head will start to go back this way like so , so this is this white sort of skin like area that's here , right ?
So that comes down from the top here .
So it's going to go like his nose and the beak will start here .
OK ?
And he's got a real big beak , right ?
Comes down diagonally around there .
You might as well do the b right here .
So big curving around to there and then this is kind of sharp at the top and then it comes back up into here , then we curved around from and another bump , OK .
Then the bottom part of his beak comes down here , kind of like his chin or something and then it will go back up this way .
So and then go in underneath and it's semi open that calms down .
So and this is dark inside here and there could be like some texture lines coming around here and some lines on his beak as well .
So , you know , sort of stuff like this texture just on the beak there .
I think he has a nostril like for where he breeds out of , but I'm not sure .
So I'm gonna just put it , there is a dark line here so it could be there and then sort of some more sort of texture coming down around his sort of skin .
So then the rest of this white area then comes up back up around like his cheek like a shadow or something here .
So I look around here and this is like feather and stuff as well .
It does have some texture lines going back this way , right ?
So once we have this sort of shape done , then we can add some details in his eyes , right ?
So like he's got like these black sort of lines underneath his eyes going this way and some coming around the eye here , kind of like eyelid lines or there's sort of texture lines coming around his eye , this sort of stuff , these dashes and dots and there's loads of them .
So we'll just add as much as we can , they come down think .
So it is and and something to remember as well just for the relationship with the beak .
So like the beak stops like just on the inside of the eye there , see that the bottom of his beak and the top of the beak is just across from the eye .
So there , it's kind of like a box here square and this top corner is where the eye is just if you're worried about portions and stuff like that .
So , but if you're able to eyeball it and don't need any of that , that's good as well .
So just adding some more of these texture lines , it's kind of loads of shy kind of ones coming down this way is do sort of wrinkles and things coming down his face there .
No one coming back that way here here .
So I'll just thicken them up a little bit , just make them look a little bit darker , just try to distinguish them from the rest of the texture and skin and stuff on his nose .
Right .
So , right , his head .
So we'll bring this around and we'll kind of do a sort of a hairy spiky line coming out and down .
So just coming down like , so , so these loads of feathers .
So it really sort of furry coming in like , so , OK , and then his neck on the other side is just at the bottom of his beak .
It kind of come out and say , um , I'd say here again , feathery sort of area .
Ok .
Right .
So we'll just break up the sort of sections a little bit here .
So we got like just kind of a light sort of area that's yellow .
We'll just break it up with some texture lines .
Just here .
Ok .
And then there's a dark blue area underneath his chin .
There's all feathers here and stuff .
Some of these could have thick shadow inside do , do do so .
It was just thick shadow sort of feathers sort of sticking out here and there will be a sort of texture area coming across like a car , sort of coming across the top of his neck , this feathery sort of lines coming down every now and then you don't have to do too much .
And then he has another green , separate green sort of hair area that's coming across the top of his eye .
So you just keep doing as much texture as you feel , you're just adding sort of hairlines and stuff where you don't have to do too much .
Mhm .
Just thicken up sort of the outside line .
I do like to do that just to make it stand out a little bit .
So you just adding sort of a thickness to the outside of the , the picture , right ?
So , so this is the green , OK , so we'll go down back doing this way and then the front of his body , this is like his chest .
Then we got some like blue feathers sticking out here .
It's like the wing on the other side .
So , ok .
And then his blue wing will be somewhere here , right ?
Like so and then the back of it will come down back here somewhere .
There's all sort of feathers we'll do that one by one just once we get the main shape sort of drawn in .
So , yeah .
So this is like , so here we got like a shadow , a dark black sort of shadow here just for the feather area .
So where these feathers meet his wing , there'll be a dark black shadow and then there'll be like a line of feathers or just a bump sort of line .
It's coming down from that here and then various feather lines coming down the back .
Yes .
Right .
So then the main feathery area is just in here .
So we got like feather's overlapping .
So a couple here , next one and then some sort of like feathers coming across the top with like , not too much , not too much coming across the top .
Anyway , we're just adding them sort of in lines just here .
You don't have to do too much detail on this on the top here because it's kind of , it kind of all just kind of blurs together .
Eventually you just add in sort of this overlapped sort of area , cool down kind of these textures just coming down here .
And then we do see like big feathers here .
Now see those .
So these are quite big and they kind of stand there a little bit .
So you do want to draw them ones in , it's like this layer is the main sort of layer and then it kind of starts to disappear as we go up here .
Do they do .
Yeah .
So nearly at the end of those feathers anyway .
And then we got like a couple of real long ones at the front .
So , like these are like long , these are like the feathers they used to fly , you know , down here .
Yes .
Ok .
And , and then again , like some texture just coming across here , just some light layers just coming across here coming down across the chest .
They're going horizontal .
Now , these ones , so you want them to sort of just be kind of darty , kind of .
Yeah , suggesting them .
It's kind of a fluffy sort of thing going on .
Thank you .
There .
Maybe some of these might be feathers actually down on the other side of the blue wing just down here .
Bo I'll try not to mess it up .
I didn't too much .
So I'm , I'm just gonna thicken up the edge line here .
I do like to add extra weight to the outside edge because it kind of makes the shadows send out a bit more and the texture lines look a bit lighter .
So you're just darkening up the contours .
Um But that is the basic idea how to draw on a car .
Paris .
I hope it was helpful .
Yes , and thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next video .
Bye .
