How to draw a face - Easiest way to draw a face (for beginners)

Hello , everyone .

It's Chris Samba from our channel .

So I want to make this video for people who want to draw a face but are struggling because they really don't know exactly where to start drawing .

This video is for beginners , but everyone is welcome to follow along uh what I'm doing and uh feel free to , to post the video any time if I'm going too fast .

OK .

Let's begin .

Uh The the first thing that we need to do is to draw a eight inches by six inches rectangle and then draw a line in the middle down this down straight and another one across and then uh draw a dotted line on the line in the middle .

It should be a two inch separation between them and then draw another one above the line in the middle and this one should be one inch separation between them and also don't forget to draw two dots .

Um This should be like one inch and a half between the middle to the end of the box and that's where the eyes are gonna be .

OK ?

OK .

Er Now we're gonna start drawing the , the , the the , the head .

OK ?

So , uh , just follow me , um , exactly what I'm doing and then draw , it will be a good idea to watch me draw first and then you can follow exactly .

Uh , what I do .

Ok .

Right now I am starting to draw the side of the , the , the face and I started from , um , the middle line and I'm going all the way down to the bottom as you can see .

And they , I'm also going to do the same thing on the other side and go all the way down .

Uh , it's like a reflection in the mirror .

I'm doing exactly what I did on the left side and now I'm doing it to the right and , uh , look at the way I'm holding a pencil , I'm holding a pencil in the middle .

It's much easier to control the pencil like that .

And , um , it's , it gives you a better control of the pencil and it's , it's very smooth when you draw with , uh , holding a pencil in the middle .

OK .

Now I'm going to start from the dotted line and , um , hey , look what I do first , I'm gonna pretend like I'm drawing .

You see that , that's just to , uh , to see exactly what I'm going to draw and then I'm gonna draw over it to make sure that I did it right .

And , and yes , and don't darken the lines because you're going to erase them later on .

Uh , the only reason I talk in the line so that you can see it in a video , but you , you may wanna keep your lines very , very , um light .

OK .

Now I'm going to do the same thing also on the other side , I draw the top of the head exactly what I did on the left side .

Um , keep the lines smooth , um , just going over the lines again , making sure that the lines are uh uh perfect , uh smooth , there's no bumps or nothing like that .

Ok .

So we're done almost with the shape of the head .

And uh remember those , OK .

So now we're going to uh draw the ice and remember those dots that we , that we drew .

Uh We're just going to uh uh draw the ice around those dots that we drew that we mocked um the eye .

We're just going to draw the eye of the shape .

We're not actually going to uh shade in the eye .

We're just gonna get the shape of the , of the eye .

And uh as you can see , we're not touching the dots , we're just going over the dots around the dots and then we're gonna do the same thing , um go to the , to the right side and do the same thing that we did on the left side .

We're just going to draw the shape of the eye over around the , the dots that we marked earlier and we almost finished with die .

Um OK .

Now , are we going to go down and draw the nose , OK .

We're gonna start from the middle line and then uh go down to the dotted line .

But first , we're going to start the , the shape from the dotted line .

We're just going to uh to draw the shape of the nose .

We're not exactly drawing uh the , the , the realistic node .

We're just drawing the shape right now .

We're just trying to see what everything is going to be .

OK ?

Now , we're going to move down to uh to the , to the lips and we're just gonna move down like about a uh a inch and we're gonna draw a line and that's the , the middle of the lips .

That's what the , the lips um are going to um to be uh we gonna draw the , the top lip and I draw the bottom lip and if you , if you're struggling um on drawing a lip , uh you can uh go see one of my videos on how to draw a lip , same thing with the nose and the eyes .

Now we're going to move up to the eyebrows .

Now the eyebrows are a little bit easier because uh uh all we're doing is drawing drawing a line and as you can see the way I uh drawing , I'm going back and forth that way .

Um It helps me uh smooth my lines and to make the drawings uh much easier and uh make the lines uh very straight .

Ok .

Uh I'm going , I'm moving on to the next eyebrow and uh of course , I'm doing the same thing that I did to the , to the left to the left eyebrow , eyebrow and I'm just trying to get their eyebrow um uh exactly the same as the other one .

Ok .

Now I am going to move to the eye and I'm going to finish the eye as you can see , I'm just drawing the circle inside the eye , ok ?

Uh I'm go OK .

Now I'm going up to the ear and uh for the ear , I'm going to start my ear , my ear in the middle of the middle line and the dotted line .

Uh I'm just going to mock and then start drawing my ear .

Now , for the ear , it can be any shape because uh everybody's ears are different .

Uh Right now , the shape of the ear that I'm doing is uh kind of curvy and also doing the same thing on the other side of the ear trying to get both ears to match a little bit .

Um Exactly .

Ok .

So we're down here , ok .

Now , the last part is I'm going to erase all the extra lines and I'm going to speed this because it's , it takes a little bit of time .

Congratulation .

We are done uh with the face now , as you can see the face is perfect .

Uh We are done for now .

Um I hope you're happy with the , with the results .

Um I , I'm happy with the results what I got so um No , thank you very much for watching the video guys .
