hi , guys , and welcome back .
So today I'm going to be showing you how to make bread pudding .
Let's begin .
So to start the recipe , you want to get your bread and tear it or cut it up into smaller pieces and add it into a bowl .
Then add in your milk and then squeeze it all together until they are very well combined .
You'll know once it's ready , as there won't be as many large lumps in it .
And if there's still a few , don't worry , that's OK , but you can just try and work them out as they're normally the crust of the bread , which is a bit harder to work with .
So once you've got the bread and the milk combined , you can then start adding your dried fruit .
I'm using a mixture of raisins , currants and sultanas , along with some mixed peel and Cherries and then spices .
There will be a link to the blog post down below .
If you are interested in making this , then you'll just want to combine them by getting your hands in there and mix it around until it's all fairly distributed within the mixture .
So once your fillings have been added .
You can then add in your eggs and your light brown sugar and give it all a good mix until it's fully incorporated .
I find mixing it by hand .
The easiest and best way to mix it is That's how I remember doing it at college .
But feel free to try and use a spatula if you want to .
You will then want to line a nine by 13 inch tin , and then you can just add in your mixture .
You may want to add around three quarters of the mixture first , level it all off and then add the final bit , as I wasn't sure that this was all going to fit into the tin .
But it did in the end .
So just do that in case you haven't got a deep sided one .
This is a Nordic wear one I got in home sense .
I'm not sure that they're all quite as deep as this , so just double check .
You may need to have another tin on hand , so just before you place this into the oven , you'll then want to Sprinkle on top some light brown sugar .
This is just to add some texture , so feel free to leave it out if you don't want it , but I've always known to add it on top .
So once it's out of the oven and fully cooled , here is what mine looks like .
It's a literal slab of bread pudding and then cut it into squares , which were way too big .
You could cut them into half of what they were , but feel free to cut it and slice it .
However you like .
This is more of a traditional recipe for bread pudding that I know the Cherries aren't so traditional , but they work really well within the mixture .
So feel free to take the maze .
I will leave all the information you need in the blood post , and that blood post will be linked down below .
