Kraft Dinner Macaroni and Cheese Salad

Here we go .

Shortcut , craft dinner , mac and cheese salad , one box of kraft dinner , macaroni and cheese .

This happens to be extra creamy because what I had in the house , but you can use whatever kind of kraft dinner mac and cheese that you would like .

And you're gonna cook it according to package directions .

So we're gonna take out the cheese sauce , gonna cook up the pasta .

There's the cooked macaroni , we are going to prepare it according to package directions which is a little bit of butter , ask for a little bit of milk and then the cheese sauce mix , which is the most unnatural shade of orange .

You will find anywhere on the face of the earth , but it is so good .

And then we're gonna stir that together .

I'm gonna put this in a bowl .

Now to this , this part is really kind of up to you .

A recipe asks for three quarters of a cup of mayonnaise or miracle whip salad dressing .

And the that is 185 mL , the mayonnaise .

Uh I bought a handful of chopped up celery and I bought a handful of cut up tomato .

I'm also going to add about a handful of chopped up green pepper and the being exact measurements in this is really not necessary .

This is about a quarter of a chopped onion .

I don't like a lot of onions .

So I'm gonna put in about a quarter cup or so of a chopped onion , about half a handful .

And I'm adding about half a handful of green olives .

You could use black olives .

In fact , if I had black olives in the house , I would use those because the color contrast would be nice .

And then you're gonna stir that together and a little bit of salt to taste .

I'm also gonna add some pepper and I'm also gonna add a spoonful of , uh , sweet green relish .

Oh , there you go .

A soup spoon full .

And finally , at the very end I'm gonna add two chopped up boiled eggs to me .

Macaroni salad just wouldn't be macaroni salad without them .

But once again , it's up to you .

I'm just gonna gently stir in the eggs and you're gonna chill this this thoroughly and serve it .

I like this macaroni salad .

It was good .

Um , what's nice about it is that the macaroni have a nice kind of an orangey yellow color which adds some color to the salad .

Can you taste the actual mac and cheese flavor in these ?

A little , uh , you can taste it a bit .

It does add to the , to the flavor of it .

Um , what's nice about it as well .

Is it doesn't make a giant , giant pile .

So you're not eating it for a week .

It is a novel way of making macaroni salad .
