Homemade masala powders are something that are very handy , especially when you want to make something quick at home .
These come in handy and they're very useful today , I'm gonna show you a wonderful biryani masala powder and also a very simple and quick vegetable biryani using the masala powder .
So let's get started and check out the recipe .
So first , I'm gonna dry roast all the ingredients for the Biryani masala powder starting with four tablespoons of whole coriander seeds .
After about a minute , I'm gonna add one teaspoon of cumin seeds , one teaspoon of fennel seeds , one teaspoon whole peppercorns .
So we're gonna add each ingredient at intervals just to make sure it's all roasted .
Well , next , I'm gonna add two tablespoons of jira .
Once the pan is hot , reduce the flame to a low and roast all the ingredients you don't want to burn them .
Next , add four pieces of cinnamon , two black carbon 12 green cardamom , two star one teaspoon of cloves , two pieces of stone flour , two pieces of maize , a small piece of nutmeg , two bay leaves , just dry , roasting all these spices together , just gives out such wonderful aromas .
So I'm maintaining the heat at a low throughout after roasting all the spices for about two minutes on low flame .
Now I'm gonna add three red chilies .
Now I'm adding these towards the end because they roast very quickly .
After adding all the whole spices , roast it for about five minutes , cool the ingredients completely before you grind them to a nice fine powder .
The ingredients have cooled on completely .
I'm gonna transfer this to a mixer jar .
Wow , the homemade biryani masala powder .
It looks amazing .
It's ground to a nice fine powder and the aroma is just fantastic .
So now I'm gonna make a very simple and quick vegetable biryani to the pressure cooker .
Add one tablespoon of g , add one tablespoon of oil to this .
Add one large onion , thinly sliced .
Once onions are transparent at two green chili slit .
Next , add one tablespoon of found ginger garlic , sort it for a few seconds to this .
I'm gonna add one large tomato chopped next .
Add one large carrot chop , a few beans , chopped , one medium size potato peeled and cut into small pieces , some fresh green peas .
Now you can use any vegetables of your choice like sweet corn mushrooms , capsicum cauliflower to this .
I'm gonna add a quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder .
Two teaspoons of chili powder , one teaspoon salt , add about 2 to 3 teaspoons of the biryani masala powder .
So mix everything together .
Now , I have not added any whole spices in the beginning .
If you had noticed because I've added the biryani masala powder .
It has all the flavoring in it .
So this should be good enough for your biryani .
Looks amazing .
The aroma is just fantastic to this .
I'm gonna add a handful of coriander leaves , a handful of mint leaves , mix it all together for this recipe .
I've taken one cup of long grain bay rice .
Now , one cup is equal in 22 50 ml .
I've washed it clean a few times .
Now , add the washed rice to the cooker , gently mix it .
So for one cup of rice , I'm using two cups of water .
The one is to two ratio before closing the pressure cooker , just taste .
And if you need to add a little salt , you can add , I'm going to add a little bit about half teaspoon .
Give it a quick mince .
Here's the pressure cooker .
Once the steam starts coming , place the weight , keep the flame on medium and pressure cook for about two whistles .
Once the pressure goes down , open the pressure cooker , the vegetable biryani is done .
It's cooked beautifully , serve it hot with some nice onion Rita .
