Today , I'm gonna show you the most delicious rich creamy cheesy mac and cheese recipe you will ever ever find .
You don't even have to boil pasta .
It's that simple .
Just chuck it all into the pot .
Let's make my beautiful slow cooked mac and cheese on the one pot chef .
This is the easiest and possibly the most delicious mac and cheese recipe you will ever ever find into the slow cooker .
I've got a 500 g or about 16 ounce bag of elbow macaroni .
This is uncooked .
So you don't even have to boil water and cook it or anything .
Just chuck it straight in into that .
I'm gonna add in three cups of shredded cheddar cheese .
A 250 g block or about eight ounces of cream cheese , which I've just chopped up into little chunks , 2.5 cups of milk .
375 mil cans or about 12 ounces of evaporated milk .
Now , evaporated milk is essentially full cream milk , which has had most of the water content evaporated out of it .
So it's got a really creamy taste to it .
Seasoned with a little bit of salt and pepper .
Give this all a bit of a stir .
All that's left to do now is to put the lid on and allow this to cook for about 2.5 hours on the low setting .
Now , don't take the lid off and give it a stir every five minutes because you wanna get that heat going in there and the steam to allow everything to cook properly .
But I do want you to take the lid off after two hours and give everything a bit of a stir .
Because if the mixture seems a bit thick , you can add a little bit of milk to it , give it a stir and give it another half hour or so to get it to the right consistency .
And after 2.5 hours , we have a big pot of beautiful mac and cheese and look at that how thick and gooey and sticky that is .
Now , if you prefer it to be a bit more runny with the sauce , as I said , you can just add a little bit more milk and allow it to cook a little longer .
But essentially , that's now , of course , if you're using American Cheddar cheese , this will have a slightly different color because American cheddar cheese tends to be a bit more on the orange side .
But taste wise , this is pretty much exactly the same and I cannot wait to dive in and have a taste rich and creamy and gorgeous .
This is truly comfort food and one pot cooking at its best .
So .
Oh , that's amazing .
Mm .
It's cheesy .
It's rich and creamy and it's got beautiful tender pasta .
It's absolutely incredible because there's literally no word to this .
You just chuck it into a pot and it's done .
There's no boiling pasta .
There's no fiddly sauce to make .
Trust me , you will never go back to the packet stuff ever again .
One taste of this and you will be converted .

Once your mac and cheese has finished cooking , you can either turn off the slow cooker or put it onto the keep warm function and it will stay warm in the pot for hours .
So you'll be able to just serve it straight out of the pot .
There are so many ways you could alter this as well .
You could add bacon to it .
You could add extra flavors , herbs and spices .
You can come up with your own combinations .
