DIY Butter Slime without Clay or Borax Powder _ JENerationDIY

What's up generation ?

Hey guys , it's Jennifer .

And today it's my first slime video ever .

And the last time that I actually made slime was like when I was literally like eight years old , but slime videos have been all the rage lately and I wanted to try it out for myself .

So this video is kind of like a diy video combined with like a testing video .

It took me a couple of tries to get this right .

But today I'm going to show you guys how to make some diy butter because a bunch of guys tweeted me to try this .

This is an exciting video because it's also a collab .

And without further ado , let's get started .

So four materials you are going to need some washable school glue or white glue .

Mine is just Elmer school glue .

You're also going to need some corn starch , but I've also heard that flour might work so you can try that and then you're gonna need some body wash or shampoo both work .

Then you're going to need some detergent contact solution or borax .

As long as they have borax in it , it will work .

So my detergent had borax in it and then you're gonna need some paint or food coloring just to color up your slime .

Oh And of course , you're gonna need a bowl to mix it all up in .

So , first of all , I'm going to pour two thirds of a cup of body wash into my bowl .

Then I'm going to put one cup of corn starch in there .

You want to make sure that you have more corn starch than you do of the body wash and you just want to mix it up .

I made the mistake of putting in way too much body wash at first and it just like totally messed it up because you need a lot of corn starch next .

You want to put in one bottle of white glue and I just put in 14 ounce bottle and mix that up .

So if you were going to just make one color of slime , I would recommend putting in your paint or food coloring now , but I wanted to make different colors of slime .

So I waited until later to put in my color .

So once that's all mixed up , you are now going to put in some detergent and you want to do this a little bit at a time because if you put in too much detergent , it'll turn too hard and it'll just like rip apart and not be slimy .

And you'll know when you're done when the slime kind of stops sticking to the edges too much .

But you don't want it to be to the point where it like completely stops sticking to the bowl .

It's kind of confusing because this is not regular slime .

It's butter slime .

So you don't want it to be completely all the way to slime yet when we get to this point now is when you want to put in more cornstarch because it's going to keep its shape .

And this also makes it really , really matte .

So you just want to keep mixing in cornstarch until it's not really sticky anymore .

And I made the mistake of pouring this onto my surface and mixing it that way and it just got so messy and 10 out of 10 would not recommend doing this .

But eventually after you keep adding in more corn starch , it will turn into this kind of doughy consistency .

And then you just want to keep mixing that with your hands and then you have your butter slime , it's actually pretty easy .

Once you get it down since I'm like , clueless about slime .

It took me quite a while and it's super fun to play with super soft and super stretchy and Moldable .

OK .

I Yeah , and if you want to add in your colors now would be another good time to do it .

So I just took some yellow paint for the butter color and I just folded that paint in until it was all mixed in .

Now , you can do the typical stuff that you would do with butter slime , like cut it with a knife and spread it .

And as you can see it has that really nice , like buttery texture .

I like , I also made a pink version and a blue version because I kind of wanted to make like a rainbow y like cotton candy one .

And so I just did the same thing with the paint and I mixed it in and then I kind of like swirled the two colors together and it just looks so beautiful and I'm obsessed with this one .

I think it looks so cute .

I just , you know , kind of cut it up and spread it the same way and just really fun to play with now that I'm done making the slime cute the slime montage .

So that is pretty much it for this video .
